Zechariah 12
1 The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. [Thus] saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:
Révélation de la parole de Yahvé concernant Israël: Yahvé, qui étend les cieux et pose les fondements de la terre, et qui forme en lui l'esprit de l'homme, dit:
2 behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling unto all the peoples round about, and upon Judah also shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem.
« Voici, je ferai de Jérusalem une coupe de roulis pour tous les peuples d'alentour, et il en sera de même pour Juda lors du siège de Jérusalem.
3 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it.
Il arrivera en ce jour-là que je ferai de Jérusalem une pierre pesante pour tous les peuples. Tous ceux qui s'en chargeront seront gravement blessés, et toutes les nations de la terre s'assembleront contre elle.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.
En ce jour-là, dit Yahvé, je frapperai de terreur tout cheval et de folie son cavalier. J'ouvrirai mes yeux sur la maison de Juda, et je frapperai d'aveuglement tous les chevaux des peuples.
5 And the chieftains of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
Les chefs de Juda diront en leur cœur: « Les habitants de Jérusalem sont ma force dans l'Éternel des armées, leur Dieu ».
6 In that day will I make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a torch of fire among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall yet again dwell in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
En ce jour-là, je ferai des chefs de Juda comme une poêle de feu au milieu du bois, et comme une torche enflammée au milieu des gerbes. Ils dévoreront tous les peuples d'alentour, à droite et à gauche, et Jérusalem habitera encore dans son lieu propre, à Jérusalem.
7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah.
Yahvé sauvera aussi d'abord les tentes de Juda, afin que la gloire de la maison de David et la gloire des habitants de Jérusalem ne soient pas élevées au-dessus de Juda.
8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
En ce jour-là, Yahvé défendra les habitants de Jérusalem. Celui d'entre eux qui sera faible en ce jour-là sera comme David, et la maison de David sera comme Dieu, comme l'ange de Yahvé devant eux.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
En ce jour-là, je chercherai à détruire toutes les nations qui viendront contre Jérusalem.
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto me whom they have pierced: and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Je répandrai sur la maison de David et sur les habitants de Jérusalem un esprit de grâce et de supplication. Ils regarderont vers moi, qu'ils ont percé, et ils le pleureront comme on pleure son fils unique, et ils en éprouveront une amère tristesse comme on éprouve une tristesse pour son premier-né.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
En ce jour-là, il y aura un grand deuil à Jérusalem, comme le deuil d'Hadadrimmon dans la vallée de Megiddo.
12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
Le pays sera dans le deuil, toutes les familles à part: la famille de la maison de David et ses femmes à part; la famille de la maison de Nathan et ses femmes à part;
13 the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;
la famille de la maison de Lévi et ses femmes à part; la famille des Shiméites et ses femmes à part;
14 all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
toutes les familles qui resteront, toutes les familles à part et leurs femmes à part.
