1 But speak thou the things which befit the sound doctrine:

2 that aged men be temperate, grave, soberminded, sound in faith, in love, in patience:
A sak dämkia kpamie cän ami hniphnawi vaia, leisawng vaia ngkäih u lü ami mät ami nängei vaia, jumeinak akdaw ta u lü mhläkphyanak ja khameinak khawh ami tak vaia jah mtheia.
3 that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanour, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
Acukba bäa, a sak dämkiea nghnumie pi ngcimngcaih lü nghnumia vea kba ami ve kung vaia jah mtheha. Mpyüia capyit tui aw lü khyanga am a daw pyeneikia käh kya kawm u. Akdaw i ti cun jah mthei yah khai,
4 that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
ami sak dikia nghnumie üng ami cae ja ami kpamie jah mhlä na lü,
5 [to be] soberminded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed:
amimät nängei u lü ngcimngcaih u lü nghnumi kdawa kya lü ami kpamiea pyen ami ngjak üngva Pamhnam üngkhyüh lawkia ngthu u naw pi akse am pyen u.
6 the younger men likewise exhort to be soberminded:
Acukba bäa, a sak dik hamki kpamie pi amimät ami nängei vaia jah nghui na bä.
7 in all things shewing thyself an ensample of good works; in thy doctrine [shewing] uncorruptness, gravity,
Anaküt üng namät kung cän a ning hjutuih vaia akdawa vecawha. Na mlung pi ngcim lü a süyüa na jah mthei yah khai.
8 sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.
Käh ami ning mkateinak thei vaia khyübe cän na sumei üngva na yee cän ngkeei u lü mimia mawng akse ami pyen vai i am ve.
9 [Exhort] servants to be in subjection to their own masters, [and] to be well-pleasing [to them] in all things; not gainsaying;
Mpyae pi ami mahpa kea ve u lü anaküt üng jesak kawm u. Ami mahpa käh msang be u lü
10 not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
ami mahpa ka pi käh mpyuei kawm u. Acuna hnün üng, angläta ami daw ja ami sitih cun ami mdan üngva ami bi naküt üng mi Küikyan Bawi Pamhnama mawng ngtheinak cun akdawa cehpüi khaie ni.
11 For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
Khyang naküta küikyannak vaia Pamhnam naw a bäkhäknak mdan pängki ni.
12 instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world; (aiōn )
Acuna bäkhäknak naw khawmdeka mi xün k'um üng Pamhnam am khyühnak ja khawmdek kpameinake jah hawih lü ngsungpyunnak, mät nängeinak, akdawa venak ja Pamhnam ksing lü (aiōn )
13 looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;
mi äpeia jodawnaka Mhnüp mi k'äiha kba Küikyanki Jesuh Khritaw ja dämduh lü hlüngtaikia Pamhnama ngdan law vai jah mcuhmthehki.
14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.
Ani naw am dawki üngkhyüh jah yungmhlät lü ngcimkia khyanga jah pyang lü akdaw pawh lü ani däk mi kanakia mi thawn vaia amät naw amät jah peki ni.
15 These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Ahine jah mthei lü ning ngaikie jah him lü ktha na jah pet üng na ana naküt sumei bä. U naw pi käh ning mdihmsui kawm.
