Romans 5
1 Being therefore justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
ⲁ̅ⲉⲁⲛⲧⲙⲁⲉⲓⲟ ϭⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ. ⲟⲩⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲙⲁⲩ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲉⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲓ̈ⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅.
2 through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and let us rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
ⲃ̅ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛϫⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ ⲙ̅ⲡϩⲱⲛ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲉⲉⲓϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲉⲧⲛ̅ⲁϩⲉⲣⲁⲧⲛ̅ ⲛ̅ϩⲏⲧϥ̅. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲛϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ.
3 And not only so, but let us also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ. ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲛⲣ̅ⲡⲕⲉϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ. ⲉⲛⲥⲟⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲧⲉⲑⲗⲓⲯⲓⲥ ⲉⲥⲣ̅ϩⲱⲃ ⲉⲩϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ.
4 and patience, probation; and probation, hope:
ⲇ̅ⲑⲩⲡⲟⲙⲟⲛⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲏ. ⲧⲇⲟⲕⲓⲙⲏ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ.
5 and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Ghost which was given unto us.
ⲉ̅ⲑⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲉⲥϫⲓϣⲓⲡⲉ. ϫⲉ ⲧⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲡⲁϩⲧ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲛⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲡ̅ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ ⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲁⲁϥ ⲛⲁⲛ.
6 For while we were yet weak, in due season Christ died for the ungodly.
ⲋ̅ⲉϣϫⲉⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲉⲧⲉⲓ ⲉⲛⲟ ⲛ̅ϭⲱⲃ ⲕⲁⲧⲁⲡⲓⲟⲩⲟⲓ̈ϣ ⲁϥⲙⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲥⲉⲃⲏⲥ.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: for peradventure for the good man some one would even dare to die.
ⲍ̅ⲙⲟⲅⲓⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲟⲩⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ. ⲙⲉϣⲁⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲧⲟⲗⲙⲁ ⲉⲙⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲟⲩⲁⲅⲁⲑⲟⲥ.
8 But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
ⲏ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲥⲩⲛϩⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉϥⲁⲅⲁⲡⲏ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ. ϫⲉ ⲉⲧⲓ ⲉⲛⲟ ⲛ̅ⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲙⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲣⲟⲛ.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath [of God] through him.
ⲑ̅ⲛⲁϣⲱⲥ ϭⲉ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲁⲛⲧⲙⲁⲉⲓⲟ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲥⲛⲟϥ ⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ̅ ⲉⲧⲟⲣⲅⲏ.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;
ⲓ̅ⲉϣϫⲉⲉⲛⲟ ⲛ̅ϫⲁϫⲉ ⲁⲛϩⲱⲧⲡ̅ ⲉⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲉ. ⲛⲁϣⲱⲥ ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲉⲁⲛϩⲱⲧⲡ̅ ⲧⲛ̅ⲛⲁⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ̈ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉϥⲱⲛϩ̅.
11 and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲙⲟⲛⲟⲛ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲛⲣ̅ⲡⲕⲉϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟⲛ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲛϫⲟⲓ̈ⲥ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲛϫⲓ ⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩ ⲙ̅ⲡϩⲱⲧⲡ̅ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲟⲟⲧϥ̅·
12 Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned: —
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲉⲧⲃⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲙⲟⲩ. ⲁⲩⲱ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲁⲩⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ϩⲓⲱⲱϥ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ. ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲟⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲡⲱⲛϩ̅ ⲉⲓ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ.
13 for until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ϣⲁⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲉⲣⲉⲡⲛⲟⲃⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲡⲉ ⲉϥⲙⲟⲟⲩⲧ ⲡⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲉⲩⲱⲡ ⲙ̅ⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲙⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a figure of him that was to come.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲁⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲣ̅ⲣ̅ⲣⲟ ϫⲓⲛⲁⲇⲁⲙ ϣⲁⲙⲱⲩ̈ⲥⲏⲥ ⲉϫⲛ̅ⲛ̅ⲕⲟⲟⲩⲉ ⲉⲧⲉⲙ̅ⲡⲟⲩⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲓⲛⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲡⲁⲣⲁⲃⲁⲥⲓⲥ ⲛ̅ⲁⲇⲁⲙ ⲉⲧⲉⲡⲁⲓ̈ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲧⲩⲡⲟⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ.
15 But not as the trespass, so also [is] the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲙ̅ⲡⲡⲁⲣⲁⲡⲧⲱⲙⲁ ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϩⲙⲟⲧ. ⲉϣϫⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲡⲁⲣⲁⲡⲧⲱⲙⲁ ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲁϩⲁϩ ⲙⲟⲩ. ⲛϩⲟⲩⲟ ϭⲉ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲇⲱⲣⲉⲁ ϩⲛⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲁⲥⲁϣⲁⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉϩⲁϩ.
16 And not as through one that sinned, [so] is the gift: for the judgment [came] of one unto condemnation, but the free gift [came] of many trespasses unto justification.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲉⲛⲧⲁϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲁⲉⲓⲟ. ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲡϩⲁⲡ ⲅⲁⲣ ϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲁ ⲉⲩⲧϭⲁⲉⲓⲟ. ⲡⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥⲙⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲛ̅ⲧⲟϥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲛ̅ϩⲁϩ ⲛ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲡⲉ ⲉⲩⲧⲙⲁⲓ̈ⲟ.
17 For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, [even] Jesus Christ.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲉϣϫⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ̈ ⲅⲁⲣ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲁⲡⲙⲟⲩ ⲣ̅ⲣ̅ⲣⲟ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁ. ⲛ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ ϭⲉ ⲉⲙⲁⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲧϫⲓ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲛ̅ⲧⲉⲭⲁⲣⲓⲥ ⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥⲩ(ⲛⲏ) ⲥⲉⲛⲁⲣ̅ⲣ̅ⲣⲟ ϩⲙ̅ⲡⲱⲛϩ̅ ϩⲓⲧⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲉⲭ̅ⲥ̅ ⲓ̅ⲥ̅·
18 So then as through one trespass [the judgment came] unto all men to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness [the free gift came] unto all men to justification of life.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲁⲣⲁ ϭⲉ ⲡ̅ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲡⲧⲱⲙⲁ ϩⲱⲥ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲩⲧϭⲁⲉⲓⲟ. ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲟⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ⲙ̅ⲡⲉⲧⲙⲁⲓ̈ⲟ ⲉⲩⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲉ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲩⲧⲙⲁⲉⲓⲟ ⲛ̅ⲱⲛϩ̅.
19 For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one shall the many be made righteous.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲛ̅ⲑⲉ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲧⲥⲱⲧⲙ̅ ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲛ̅ⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲛ̅ⲧⲁϩⲁϩ ⲛ̅ⲣⲉϥⲣ̅ⲛⲟⲃⲉ ϣⲱⲡⲉ. ⲧⲁⲓ̈ ⲟⲛ ⲧⲉ ⲑⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛ̅ⲧⲙⲛ̅ⲧⲥⲧⲙⲏⲧ ⲙ̅ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲁ ⲡⲉϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲛⲁϣⲱⲡⲉ ⲛ̅ⲇⲓⲕⲁⲓⲟⲥ.
20 And the law came in beside, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly:
ⲕ̅ⲛ̅ⲧⲁⲡⲛⲟⲙⲟⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲩⲛ ϫⲉ ⲉⲣⲉⲡ̅ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲡⲧⲱⲙⲁ ⲣ̅ϩⲟⲩⲟ ⲡⲉⲛⲧⲁⲡⲉϥⲛⲟⲃⲉ ⲁϣⲁⲓ̈ ⲁⲡⲉϩⲙⲟⲧ ⲣ̅ϩⲟⲩⲉⲁϣⲁⲓ̈ ⲛⲁϥ.
