< Romans 4 >
1 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, hath found?
Tinehoile Abraham, kun mangso hisab te tai amikhan laga baba ase, ki paise koi kene kobo?
2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not toward God.
Kilekoile jodi Abraham bhi kaam kori kene dharmik hoise koile tai nijor phutani hobole kiba ase, kintu Isor usorte hoile nohoi.
3 For what saith the scripture? And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.
Kelemane Shastro te ki koise? “Abraham pora Isor ke biswas korise aru etu pora tai dharmik hoise.”
4 Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt.
Etiya kun pora kaam kori ase tai laga hajira to udhar nisena ginti nohoi kintu tai pabole thaka he ase.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.
Kintu kun ekjon nijor to kaam nakore, hoilebi, paap-pi manu khan ke bachai diya Isor ke biswas kore, tai laga biswas to dharmik ase koi kene ginti kori loi.
6 Even as David also pronounceth blessing upon the man, unto whom God reckoneth righteousness apart from works,
Etu manu nimite he David pora koi ase, kaam nathakile bhi kunke Isor pora dharmik ase eneka ginti korise, tai asishit ase.
7 [saying], Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered.
Tai koise, “Asis ase taikhan jun khan laga golti kaam khan maph hoise, Aru jun khan laga paapkhan dhakai dise.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not reckon sin.
Dhonyo ase utu manu junke Probhu pora tai laga paapkhan ginti nakoribo.”
9 Is this blessing then pronounced upon the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say, To Abraham his faith was reckoned for righteousness.
Etu asirbad to khali sunnot huwa khan nimite ase naki, na sunnot nakora khan karone bhi ase? Kelemane amikhan koi, “Abraham laga biswas he dharmikta ase koi kene ginti hoise.”
10 How then was it reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision:
Tinehoile etu kineka ginti hoise? Etu tai sunnot nakora age te hoise na, na sunnot huwa pichete hoise? Etu to sunnot kora pichete nohoi, kintu nakora age te hoise.
11 and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;
Abraham ke sunnot laga niyom laga chihna to pai loise. Etu to dharmikta biswas laga mohor hoise juntu tai sunnot nakora age te Isor pora taike di dise. Etu nimite Abraham ekjon baba hoi jaise jun biswas kori loise, jodi taikhan sunnot nakorile bhi. Etu motlob to taikhan dharmik ase koi kene taikhan ke ginti kori lobo.
12 and the father of circumcision to them who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision.
Aru Abraham taikhan laga baba bhi ase jun khan sunnot korise, kintu khali sunnot kora niyom he mana karone nohoi, hoilebi taikhan jun amikhan laga baba Abraham pora sunnot nakora age te tai laga biswas laga kadam ke piche korise.
13 For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.
Kilekoile Abraham aru tai laga khandan ke tai etu prithibi laga malik hobo koi kene kosom diya to khali niyom mana nimite he nohoi, kintu biswas laga dharmikta dwara ase.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:
Kilekoile jodi manu khan khali niyom mani kene Isor laga kosom pai jai, tinehoile biswas laga eku motlob nathakibo. Aru Isor laga kosom Abraham ke diya to eku kaam nai.
15 for the law worketh wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.
Kilekoile niyom to khali Isor laga khong he anibo, kintu jodi niyom nathake koile, ta te niyom laga bhirodh te eku kori bole nai.
16 For this cause [it is] of faith, that [it may be] according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all
Etu karone khali biswas pora he manu khan Isor laga kosom to pabo, eneka hoile manu khan Isor laga kosom to anugrah pora ase aru Abraham laga sob khandan khan etu kosom to pabo- khali niyom te thaka khan nimite nohoi, kintu jun khan Abraham laga biswas ke piche kore, eitu khan bhi pabo. Tai amikhan sob laga baba ase,
17 (as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.
jineka Shastro te likhi kene ase, “Moi tumike bisi desh laga baba bonaise.” Aru Abraham to Isor, Junke tai biswas korise, Tai logote thakise, jun mora ke jibon diye aru utu jinis khan bhi bonai jun to kitia bhi thaka nai.
18 Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Abraham laga bacha hobo koi kene tai eku asha thaka nai, kintu Abraham Isor ke biswas kori kene asha rakhise. Aru etu nimite tai bisi desh laga baba hoise, jineka Isor pora taike koise, “Tumi laga khandan bisi hobo.”
19 And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
Abraham tai nijor laga gaw ke komjur pora mori ase koi kene bhabi thakise (kele koile tai laga umor to eksoh saal laga aas-pas te hoi jaise)- aru tai laga maiki Sarah to kitia bhi bacha nabukhibo koi kene bhabi loise, kintu Abraham to biswas te kitia bhi komjur kora nai.
20 yea, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God,
Kintu Isor laga kosom nimite, Abraham kitia bhi biswas te mon chutu kora nai. Ulta, tai nijorke biswas te aru bhi takot korise aru Isor ke prosansa dise.
21 and being fully assured that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Abraham pora biswas kori loise Isor juntu taike kosom dise, etu tai pai jaise.
22 Wherefore also it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.
Etu karone Abraham to Isor logote dharmikta ase koi kene ginti kori loise.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was reckoned unto him;
Etiya taike grohon kori loise eneka likhi kene thaka to khali Abraham nimite nohoi.
24 but for our sake also, unto whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
Kintu amikhan nimite bhi likha ase, amikhan nimite bhi ginti hobo, kele koile amikhan bhi biswas ase utu ekjon ke jun pora Jisu Khrista ke mora pora jinda uthai dise.
25 who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.
Jisu ke amikhan laga paap nimite taikhan laga hathte dise aru amikhan ke dharmik hobo nimite Taike mora pora jinda kori dise.
