Revelation 20
1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. (Abyssos g12)
Da sah ich einen Engel aus dem Himmel niedersteigen. Er trug den Schlüssel des Abgrunds und eine große Kette in der Hand. (Abyssos g12)
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Er überwältigte den Drachen, die alte Schlange, die der Teufel und der Satan ist, und legte ihn in Fesseln tausend Jahre lang.
3 and cast him into the abyss, and shut [it], and sealed [it] over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time. (Abyssos g12)
Er warf ihn in den Abgrund, schloß diesen zu und siegelte darüber, damit er nicht die Völker fernerhin verführe, bis die tausend Jahre vorüber wären. Alsdann muß er für kurze Zeit losgelassen werden. (Abyssos g12)
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Dann sah ich Throne; man setzte sich darauf, und das Gericht ward ihnen übergeben. Dann sah ich auch die Seelen derer, die hingerichtet worden waren, weil sie für Jesus Zeugnis abgelegt hatten und um des Wortes Gottes willen; sie, die das Tier und dessen Bild nicht angebetet und sein Siegel weder auf der Stirne noch an der Hand getragen hatten. Sie wurden lebendig und herrschen nun mit Christus tausend Jahre.
5 The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection.
Die anderen Toten aber werden nicht lebendig, bevor die tausend Jahre nicht vorüber sind.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Das ist die erste Auferstehung. Selig und heilig, wer an der ersten Auferstehung teilhat. Der zweite Tod hat über sie nicht mehr Gewalt, sie werden Priester Gottes und des Christus sein und mit ihm herrschen tausend Jahre.
7 And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Wenn aber die tausend Jahre vorüber sind, wird Satan aus seinem Kerker losgelassen werden.
8 and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Er wird dann ausziehen, die Völker an den vier Enden der Erde, Gog und Magog, zu verführen und sie zum Kampfe zu sammeln. Ihre Zahl ist wie der Sand am Meere.
9 And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them.
Sie stiegen zu der Oberfläche der Erde, umzingelten das Lager der Heiligen und die vielgeliebte Stadt. Doch Feuer fiel von Gott vom Himmel nieder und verzehrte sie.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Dann sah ich einen großen, lichten Thron und den, der auf ihm saß. Vor seinem Angesichte flohen Erde und Himmel, und ihre Stätte ward nicht mehr gefunden.
12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Ich sah sodann die Toten, groß und klein, wie sie vor dem Throne standen; es wurden Bücher aufgeschlagen. Und noch ein Buch ward aufgeschlagen; es ist das Buch des Lebens. Die Toten wurden gerichtet, wie es in den Büchern aufgeschrieben ist, entsprechend ihren Werken.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (Hadēs g86)
Das Meer gab die Toten wieder, die darin waren, und auch der Tod sowie die Unterwelt gaben ihre Toten wieder her, die darin waren. Ein jeder ward nach seinen Werken abgeurteilt. (Hadēs g86)
