Psalms 83
1 A Song, a Psalm of Asaph. O God, keep not thou silence: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
૧ગાયન, આસાફનું ગીત. હે ઈશ્વર, તમે છાના ન રહો! હે ઈશ્વર, અમારી અવગણના ના કરશો અને સ્થિર રહો.
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
૨જુઓ, તમારા શત્રુઓ હુલ્લડ મચાવે છે અને જેઓ તમને ધિક્કારે છે તેમણે તમારી સામે માથું ઊંચું કર્યું છે.
3 They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult together against thy hidden ones.
૩તેઓ તમારા લોકો વિરુદ્ધ કપટભરી યોજનાઓ કરે છે અને તમારા લોક જેઓ તમને મૂલ્યવાન છે, તેઓની વિરુદ્ધ પ્રપંચ રચે છે.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
૪તેઓએ કહ્યું છે, “ચાલો, પ્રજા તરીકેના તેમના અસ્તિત્વનો આપણે સંપૂર્ણ નાશ કરીએ. જેથી ઇઝરાયલના નામનું સ્મરણ હવે પછી કદી રહે નહિ.”
5 For they have consulted together with one consent; against thee do they make a covenant:
૫તેઓએ એકસાથે મસલત કરી છે; તેઓ તમારી વિરુદ્ધ કરાર કરે છે.
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagarenes;
૬તંબુમાં રહેનાર અદોમીઓ, ઇશ્માએલીઓ, મોઆબીઓ તથા હાગ્રીઓ,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre:
૭ગબાલ, આમ્મોન, અમાલેક; તૂર દેશના લોકો અને પલિસ્તીઓ પણ કરાર કરે છે.
8 Assyria also is joined with them; they have holpen the children of Lot. (Selah)
૮તેઓની સાથે આશ્શૂર પણ સામેલ થાય છે; તેઓએ લોતના વંશજોને સહાય કરી છે. (સેલાહ)
9 Do thou unto them as unto Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon:
૯તમે જે મિદ્યાન સાથે કર્યું, જેમ કીશોન નદી પર સીસરા તથા યાબીન સાથે કર્યું, તેમ તેઓની સાથે કરો.
10 Which perished at En-dor; they became as dung for the earth.
૧૦એન-દોરમાં તેઓ નાશ પામ્યા અને ભૂમિના ખાતર જેવા થઈ ગયા.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; yea, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna:
૧૧તેઓના સરદારોને ઓરેબ તથા ઝએબના જેવા અને તેઓના સર્વ રાજકુમારોને ઝેબાહ તથા સાલ્મુન્ના જેવા કરો.
12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves in possession the habitations of God.
૧૨તેઓએ કહ્યું, “ચાલો આપણે પોતાને માટે ઈશ્વરના નિવાસસ્થાનને પ્રાપ્ત કરીએ.”
13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust; as stubble before the wind.
૧૩હે મારા ઈશ્વર, તેઓને વંટોળિયાની ધૂળ જેવા, પવનથી ઊડતાં ફોતરાં જેવા કરો.
14 As the fire that burneth the forest, and as the flame that setteth the mountains on fire;
૧૪જેમ અગ્નિ જંગલોને ભસ્મ કરે છે અને આગ પર્વતોને સળગાવે તેમ વિનાશ કરો.
15 So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy storm.
૧૫તમારા વંટોળિયાઓથી અને તમારા તોફાનોથી તેમનો પીછો કરો અને તેમને ત્રાસ પમાડો.
16 Fill their faces with confusion; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
૧૬બદનામીથી તેઓ પોતાનાં મુખ સંતાડે કે જેથી, હે યહોવાહ, તેઓ તમારું નામ શોધે.
17 Let them be ashamed and dismayed for ever; yea, let them be confounded and perish:
૧૭તેઓ હંમેશા લજ્જિત થાઓ અને ગૂંચવાઈ જાઓ; તેઓ અપમાનિત થાઓ અને નાશ પામો.
18 That they may know that thou alone, whose name is JEHOVAH, art the Most High over all the earth.
૧૮જેથી તેઓ જાણે કે તમે એકલા જ યહોવાહ છો, તમે એકલા જ સમગ્ર પૃથ્વી પર પરાત્પર ઈશ્વર છો.
