Psalms 76

1 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph, a Song. In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

Kuom jatend wer. Gi gig wer man-gi tondegi. Zaburi mar Asaf. Wer. Nyasaye en rahuma e piny Juda, kendo nyinge duongʼ e piny Israel.

2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

Hembe nitie Salem kar dakne ni Sayun.

3 There he brake the arrows of the bow; the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Selah)

Kanyo ema e oturoe aserni makakni, kaachiel gi okumbni gi ligengni, ma gin gig lweny. (Sela)

4 Glorious art thou [and] excellent, from the mountains of prey.

Duongʼ mari ler okwako kendo iyombo gode momew gi kit le mayoreyore.

5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands.

Yawuowi madongo mojingʼ osema gik mane giyako koro ginindo nindogi mogik; kendo onge jolwenygo kata achiel, manyalo tingʼo kata mana bade.

6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

Nikech kwer misekwerogigo, yaye Nyasach Jakobo omiyo faras gi gari moywayo ochungʼ kar tiendegi.

7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

In kendi ema onego oluori. Koso en ngʼa manyalo chungʼ e nyimi ka mirima omaki?

8 Thou didst cause sentence to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

Ne ingʼado bura gie polo, mi piny ne luoro omako molingʼ thi.

9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. (Selah)

Kane ia malo mondo ingʼad bura, yaye Nyasaye, mondo ikony ji duto mawinjo marach e piny. (Sela)

10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the residue of wrath shalt thou gird upon thee.

Kuom adier, mirima ma in-go gi ji, keloni pak, kendo miyo joma otony ne mirimbi ritore.

11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

Singri ne Jehova Nyasaye ma Nyasachi, kendo chop singruokgo; bende jopinje duto mokiewo kodi, okel mich ne Jal monego ji luor.

12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
