Psalms 61

1 For the Chief Musician; on a stringed instrument. [A Psalm] of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

Mai marelui muzician pe instrumente cu coarde, un psalm al lui David. Ascultă strigătul meu, Dumnezeule; dă atenție la rugăciunea mea.

2 From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

De la marginea pământului voi striga către tine, când inima îmi este copleșită, condu-mă la stânca ce este mai înaltă decât mine.

3 For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.

Căci ai fost un adăpost pentru mine și un turn tare înaintea dușmanului.

4 I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. (Selah)

Voi locui în tabernacolul tău pentru totdeauna, mă voi încrede în adăpostul aripilor tale. (Selah)

5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Căci tu, Dumnezeule, ai ascultat promisiunile mele, mi-ai dat moștenirea celor ce se tem de numele tău.

6 Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: his years shall be as many generations.

Vei prelungi viața împăratului și anii lui ca multe generații.

7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

Va locui înaintea lui Dumnezeu pentru totdeauna, pregătește milă și adevăr, care să îl păstreze.

8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Astfel voi cânta laude numelui tău pentru totdeauna, ca zi de zi să împlinesc promisiunile mele.
