Psalms 54

1 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. Maschil of David: when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me in thy might.

Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome, e faze-me justiça pelo teu poder.

2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

Ó Deus, ouve a minha oração, inclina os teus ouvidos ás palavras da minha bocca.

3 For strangers are risen up against me, and violent men have sought after my soul: they have not set God before them. (Selah)

Porque os estranhos se levantam contra mim, e tyrannos procuram a minha vida: não teem posto Deus perante os seus olhos (Selah)

4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is of them that uphold my soul.

Eis que Deus é o meu ajudador, o Senhor está com aquelles que susteem a minha alma.

5 He shall requite the evil unto mine enemies: destroy thou them in thy truth.

Elle recompensará com o mal aquelles que me andam espiando: destroe-os na tua verdade.

6 With a freewill offering will I sacrifice unto thee: I will give thanks unto thy name, O LORD, for it is good.

Eu te offerecerei voluntariamente sacrificios, louvarei o teu nome ó Senhor, porque é bom.

7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble; and mine eye hath seen [my desire] upon mine enemies.

Pois me tem livrado de toda a angustia; e os meus olhos viram o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos.
