Psalms 48
1 A Song; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.
Pieśń psalmu synów Korego. Wielki jest Pan, i bardzo chwalebny w mieście Boga naszego, na górze świętej swojej.
2 Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Ozdobą krainy, uciechą wszystkiej ziemi jest góra Syon w stronach północnych, miasto króla wielkiego.
3 God hath made himself known in her palaces for a refuge.
Bóg w pałacach jego uznany jest za twierdzę wysoką.
4 For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together.
Bo oto królowie, gdy się zgromadzili i ciągnęli wespół,
5 They saw it, then were they amazed; they were dismayed, they hasted away.
Sami to ujrzawszy bardzo się zadziwili, a przestraszeni będąc prędko uciekali.
6 Trembling took hold of them there; pain, as of a woman in travail.
Strach ich tam ogarnął i boleść, jako niewiastę rodzącą.
7 With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tarshish.
Wiatrem wschodnim pokruszysz okręty z Tarsys.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
Jakośmy słyszeli, takeśmy widzieli w mieście Pana zastępów, w mieście Boga naszego; Bóg je ugruntował aż na wieki. (Sela)
9 We have thought on thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
Uważamy, o Boże! miłosierdzie twoje w pośród kościoła twego.
10 As is thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Jakie jest imię twoje, Boże! taka też jest chwała twoja aż do kończyn ziemi; sprawiedliwości pełna jest prawica twoja.
11 Let mount Zion be glad, let the daughters of Judah rejoice, because of thy judgments.
NIech się rozweseli góra Syon: niech się rozradują córki Judzkie dla sądów twoich, Boże!
12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
Otoczcie Syon, i obstąpcie go; policzcie wieże jego.
13 Mark ye welt her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.
Przypatrujcie się pilnie basztom jego, a oglądajcie pałace jego, abyście umieli powiadać narodowi potomnemu.
14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] unto death.
Że ten Bóg jest Bogiem naszym na wieki wieczne, a iż on naszym hetmanem będzie aż do śmierci.
