Psalms 47

1 For the Chief Musician; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye peoples; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

聖歌隊の指揮者によってうたわせたコラの子の歌 もろもろの民よ、手をうち、喜びの声をあげ、神にむかって叫べ。

2 For the LORD Most High is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

いと高き主は恐るべく、全地をしろしめす大いなる王だからである。

3 He shall subdue the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet.

主はもろもろの民をわれらに従わせ、もろもろの国をわれらの足の下に従わせられた。

4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. (Selah)

主はその愛されたヤコブの誇をわれらの嗣業として、われらのために選ばれた。 (セラ)

5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

神は喜び叫ぶ声と共にのぼり、主はラッパの声と共にのぼられた。

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

神をほめうたえよ、ほめうたえよ、われらの王をほめうたえよ、ほめうたえよ。

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

神は全地の王である。巧みな歌をもってほめうたえよ。

8 God reigneth over the nations: God sitteth upon his holy throne.

神はもろもろの国民を統べ治められる。神はその聖なるみくらに座せられる。

9 The princes of the peoples are gathered together [to be] the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God; he is greatly exalted.

もろもろの民の君たちはつどい来て、アブラハムの神の民となる。地のもろもろの盾は神のものである。神は大いにあがめられる。
