Psalms 36
1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.
Salmo de Davi, servo do SENHOR, para o regente: A transgressão do perverso diz ao meu coração [que] não há temor a Deus perante seus olhos.
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, that his iniquity shall not be found out and be hated.
Porque ele é [tão] orgulhoso diante de seus olhos [que não] achar [nem] odiar sua própria maldade.
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise [and] to do good.
As palavras da boca dele são malícia e falsidade; ele deixou de [fazer] o que é sábio e bom.
4 He deviseth iniquity upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
Ele planeja maldade em sua cama; fica no caminho que não é bom; não rejeita o mal.
5 Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, is in the heavens; thy faithfulness [reacheth] unto the skies.
SENHOR, tua bondade [alcança] os céus, e tua fidelidade [chega] até as mais altas nuvens.
6 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
Tua justiça é como as montanhas de Deus, teus juízos [como] um grande abismo; tu, SENHOR, guardas [a vida] dos homens e dos animais.
7 How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! and the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.
Como é preciosa, SENHOR, a tua bondade! Porque os filhos dos homens se abrigam à sombra de tuas asas.
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
Eles se fartam da comida de tua casa, e tu lhes dás de beber [do] ribeiro de teus prazeres.
9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Porque contigo está a fonte da vida; em tua luz vemos a luz [verdadeira].
10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Estende tua bondade sobre os que te conhecem; e tua justiça sobre os corretos de coração.
11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.
Não venha sobre mim o pé dos arrogantes, e que a não dos perversos não me mova.
12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
Ali cairão os que praticam a maldade; eles foram lançados, e não podem se levantar.
