Psalms 35
1 [A Psalm] of David. Strive thou, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight thou against them that fight against me.
দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, যারা আমার সঙ্গে বিবাদ করে, তাদের সঙ্গে তুমি বিবাদ করো; যারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করে, তাদের বিরুদ্ধে তুমি যুদ্ধ করো।
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
ঢাল ও বর্ম পরিধান করো; ওঠো, আর আমার সাহায্যের জন্য এসো।
3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that pursue me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
যারা আমাকে ধাওয়া করে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে বর্শা ও বল্লম তুলে নাও। আমাকে বলো, “আমিই তোমার পরিত্রাণ।”
4 Let them be ashamed and brought to dishonour that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and confounded that devise my hurt.
যারা আমার প্রাণনাশের চেষ্টা করে তারা অপমানিত হোক ও লজ্জায় নত হোক; যারা আমার ধ্বংসের চক্রান্ত করে তারা হতাশায় ফিরে যাক।
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind, and the angel of the LORD driving [them] on.
বাতাসে তুষের মতো ওদের অবস্থা হোক, সদাপ্রভুর দূত তাদের বিতাড়িত করুক;
6 Let their way be dark and slippery, and the angel of the LORD pursuing them.
তাদের চলার পথ অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন ও পিচ্ছিল হোক, আর সদাপ্রভুর দূত তাদের পিছনে ধাওয়া করুক।
7 For without cause have they hid for me their net [in] a pit, without cause have they digged [a pit] for my soul.
যেহেতু ওরা অকারণে আমার জন্য গোপন ফাঁদ পেতেছে, আর অকারণেই আমার জন্য গর্ত খুঁড়েছে,
8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: with destruction let him fall therein.
অতর্কিতে তাদের উপর যেন ধ্বংস নেমে আসে— ওদের পাতা গোপন ফাঁদে যেন ওরা নিজেরাই ধরা পড়ে, ওদের খোঁড়া গর্তে যেন ওরা পড়ে আর ধ্বংস হয়।
9 And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.
তখন সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে আমার প্রাণ আনন্দিত হবে, আর তাঁর পরিত্রাণে উল্লসিত হবে।
10 All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
আমার সমগ্র সত্তা বলবে, “তোমার মতো কে আছে, হে সদাপ্রভু? তুমি শক্তিমানের হাত থেকে দুর্বলকে রক্ষা করো, লুণ্ঠনকারীদের হাত থেকে দুর্বল ও দরিদ্রদের রক্ষা করো।”
11 Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I know not.
দুষ্ট সাক্ষীর দল এগিয়ে আসছে; আমার অজানা বিষয় নিয়ে তারা আমাকে প্রশ্ন করে।
12 They reward me evil for good, [to] the bereaving of my soul.
উপকারের প্রতিদানে ওরা আমার অপকার করে, আমি শোকার্ত হয়ে রইলাম।
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.
কিন্তু ওরা যখন পীড়িত ছিল, আমি দুঃখে তখন চট পরেছিলাম, উপবাস করে নিজেকে নম্র করেছিলাম, কিন্তু আমার প্রার্থনা নিরুত্তর হয়ে আমার কাছে ফিরে এল।
14 I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother: I bowed down mourning, as one that bewaileth his mother.
আমি শোকার্ত হয়ে রইলাম, যেন তারা আমার বন্ধু বা পরিবার ছিল, বিষাদে আমি মাথা নত করেছিলাম যেন আমি নিজের মায়ের শোকে বিলাপ করছিলাম।
15 But when I halted they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
কিন্তু যখন আমি হোঁচট খেলাম, তখন ওরা আনন্দে সমবেত হল, আক্রমণকারীরা আমার অজান্তে আমার বিরুদ্ধে দলবদ্ধ হল। ক্ষান্ত না হয়ে তারা আমাকে বিদীর্ণ করল।
16 Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
অধার্মিকের মতো তারা আমাকে ব্যঙ্গবিদ্রুপ করে, তারা আমার প্রতি দন্তঘর্ষণ করে।
17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.
আর কত কাল, হে প্রভু, তুমি নীরবে দেখবে? ওদের হিংস্র আক্রমণ থেকে আমাকে রক্ষা করো, ওইসব সিংহের গ্রাস থেকে আমার জীবন বাঁচাও।
18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.
মহাসমাবেশে আমি তোমাকে ধন্যবাদ জানাব; অগণিত মানুষের মাঝে আমি তোমার প্রশংসা করব।
19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
যারা অকারণে আমার শত্রু হয়েছে তারা যেন আমার পরাজয়ে উল্লসিত না হয়; যারা অকারণে আমায় ঘৃণা করে তারা যেন পরহিংসায় আমার প্রতি কটাক্ষ না করে।
20 For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful words against them that are quiet in the land.
তারা শান্তির কথা বলে না; কিন্তু যারা জগতে শান্তিতে বসবাস করে তাদেরই বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা অভিযোগ রচনা করে।
21 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me; they said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.
তারা আমার প্রতি অবজ্ঞা করে আর বলে, “হা! হা! আমরা নিজেদের চোখে এসব দেখেছি।”
22 Thou hast seen it, O LORD; keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.
হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি সবই দেখেছ, তুমি নীরব থেকো না। হে প্রভু, তুমি আমার কাছ থেকে দূরে থেকো না।
23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, [even] unto my cause, my God and my Lord.
জেগে ওঠো এবং আমায় সমর্থন করো! আমার পক্ষে দাঁড়াও, হে আমার ঈশ্বর ও প্রভু।
24 Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
তোমার ধার্মিকতায় আমাকে নির্দোষ ঘোষণা করো, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার ঈশ্বর; আমাকে নিয়ে তাদের উল্লাস করতে দিয়ো না।
25 Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
তাদের ভাবতে দিয়ো না, “আহা! আমরা যা চেয়েছি, তাই ঘটেছে!” অথবা না বলে, “আমরা ওকে গ্রাস করেছি।”
26 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
যারা আমার দুর্দশায় উল্লসিত হয় তারা যেন লজ্জিত ও অপমানিত হয়; যারা আমার উপরে নিজেদের উন্নত করে তারা সবাই যেন লজ্জায় ও অসম্মানে আবৃত হয়।
27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, The LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
যারা আমার নির্দোষিতা প্রমাণে আনন্দ পায়, তারা আনন্দধ্বনি করুক, আহ্লাদিত হোক; তারা সর্বক্ষণ বলুক, “সদাপ্রভু মহিমান্বিত হোন, যিনি তাঁর দাসের কল্যাণে নিত্য আনন্দিত।”
28 And my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness, [and] of thy praise all the day long.
আমার জিভ তোমার ধার্মিকতা প্রচার করবে, সারাদিন তোমার প্রশংসাগান গাইবে।
