Psalms 34
1 [A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Bendeciré a Yavé en todo tiempo. Su alabanza estará de continuo en mi boca.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the meek shall hear thereof, and be glad.
En Yavé se gloriará mi alma. Lo oirán los mansos y se alegrarán.
3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Engrandezcan a Yavé conmigo, Y exaltemos juntos su Nombre.
4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Busqué a Yavé y Él me respondió, Y me libró de todos mis temores.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces shall never be confounded.
Los que miraron a Él fueron iluminados, Y sus semblantes nunca serán avergonzados.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Este pobre clamó, Y Yavé lo escuchó, Y lo salvó de todas sus angustias.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
El Ángel de Yavé acampa alrededor de los que le temen, Y los rescata.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Prueben y vean que Yavé es bueno. ¡Cuán feliz es el varón que confía en Él!
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
Teman a Yavé, ustedes sus santos, Porque nada falta a los que le temen.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
Los cachorros de león necesitan y sufren hambre, Pero los que buscan a Yavé no carecen de ningún bien.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Vengan, hijos, escúchenme. Les enseñaré el temor a Yavé.
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth [many] days, that he may see good?
¿Quién es el hombre que desea vida, Que desea muchos días para ver el bien?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Guarda tu boca del mal Y tus labios de hablar engaño.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Apártate del mal y haz el bien. Busca la paz y persíguela.
15 The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and his ears are [open] unto their cry.
Los ojos de Yavé están hacia los justos, Y sus oídos atentos al clamor de ellos.
16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
El rostro de Yavé está contra los perversos, Para cortar su memoria de la tierra.
17 [The righteous] cried, and the LORD heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles.
Claman los justos, Y Yavé los oye Y los libra de todas sus angustias.
18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Cercano está Yavé a los quebrantados de corazón, Y salva a los contritos de espíritu.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Muchas son las aflicciones del justo, Pero de todas ellas lo libra Yavé.
20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
Él guarda todos sus huesos. Ni uno de ellos es quebrado.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be condemned.
Matará al malo la maldad, Y los que aborrecen al justo serán culpables.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be condemned.
Yavé redime la vida de sus esclavos. No serán condenados cuantos en Él confían.
