Psalms 26

1 [A Psalm] of David. Judge me, O LORD, for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD without wavering.

Julga-me, Senhor, pois tenho andado em minha sinceridade; tenho confiado também no Senhor; não vacilarei.

2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

Examina-me, Senhor, e prova-me: esquadrinha os meus rins e o meu coração.

3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes; and I have walked in thy truth.

Porque a tua benignidade está diante dos meus olhos; e tenho andado na tua verdade.

4 I have not sat with vain persons; neither will I go in with dissemblers.

Não me tenho assentado com homens vãos, nem converso com os homens dissimulados.

5 I hate the congregation of evil-doers, and will not sit with the wicked.

Tenho aborrecido a congregação de malfeitores; nem me ajunto com os ímpios.

6 I will wash mine hands in innocency; so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

Lavo as minhas mãos na inocência; e assim andarei, Senhor, ao redor do teu altar.

7 That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

Para publicar com voz de louvor, e contar todas as tuas maravilhas.

8 LORD, I love the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth.

Senhor, eu tenho amado a habitação da tua casa e o lugar onde permanece a tua glória.

9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood:

Não apanhes a minha alma com os pecadores, nem a minha vida com os homens sanguinolentos,

10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

Em cujas mãos há malefício, e cuja mão direita está cheia de subornos.

11 But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

Mas eu ando na minha sinceridade; livra-me e tem piedade de mim.

12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

O meu pé está posto em caminho plano; nas congregações louvarei ao Senhor.
