Psalms 25
1 [A Psalm] of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
ダビデの歌 主よ、わが魂はあなたを仰ぎ望みます。
2 O my God, in thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.
わが神よ、わたしはあなたに信頼します。どうか、わたしをはずかしめず、わたしの敵を勝ち誇らせないでください。
3 Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
すべてあなたを待ち望む者をはずかしめず、みだりに信義にそむく者をはずかしめてください。
4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
主よ、あなたの大路をわたしに知らせ、あなたの道をわたしに教えてください。
5 Guide me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
あなたのまことをもって、わたしを導き、わたしを教えてください。あなたはわが救の神です。わたしはひねもすあなたを待ち望みます。
6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
主よ、あなたのあわれみと、いつくしみとを思い出してください。これはいにしえから絶えることがなかったのです。
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy lovingkindness remember thou me, for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD.
わたしの若き時の罪と、とがとを思い出さないでください。主よ、あなたの恵みのゆえに、あなたのいつくしみにしたがって、わたしを思い出してください。
8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he instruct sinners in the way.
主は恵みふかく、かつ正しくいらせられる。それゆえ、主は道を罪びとに教え、
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
へりくだる者を公義に導き、へりくだる者にその道を教えられる。
10 All the paths of the LORD are lovingkindness and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
主のすべての道はその契約とあかしとを守る者にはいつくしみであり、まことである。
11 For thy name’s sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
主よ、み名のために、わたしの罪をおゆるしください。わたしの罪は大きいのです。
12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he instruct in the way that he shall choose.
主を恐れる人はだれか。主はその選ぶべき道をその人に教えられる。
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the land.
彼はみずからさいわいに住まい、そのすえは地を継ぐであろう。
14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
主の親しみは主をおそれる者のためにあり、主はその契約を彼らに知らせられる。
15 Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
わたしの目は常に主に向かっている。主はわたしの足を網から取り出されるからである。
16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
わたしをかえりみ、わたしをあわれんでください。わたしはひとりわびしく苦しんでいるのです。
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
わたしの心の悩みをゆるめ、わたしを苦しみから引き出してください。
18 Consider mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins.
わたしの苦しみ悩みをかえりみ、わたしのすべての罪をおゆるしください。
19 Consider mine enemies, for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
わたしの敵がいかに多く、かつ激しい憎しみをもってわたしを憎んでいるかをごらんください。
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.
わたしの魂を守り、わたしをお助けください。わたしをはずかしめないでください。わたしはあなたに寄り頼んでいます。
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait on thee.
どうか、誠実と潔白とが、わたしを守ってくれるように。わたしはあなたを待ち望んでいます。
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
神よ、イスラエルをあがない、すべての悩みから救いだしてください。
