Psalms 20

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;

2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

Yardım göndersin sana kutsal yerden, Siyon'dan destek versin.

3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; (Selah)

Bütün tahıl sunularını anımsasın, Yakmalık sunularını kabul etsin! (Sela)

4 Grant thee thy heart’s desire, and fulfill all thy counsel.

Gönlünce versin sana, Bütün tasarılarını gerçekleştirsin!

5 We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions.

O zaman zaferini sevinç çığlıklarıyla kutlayacağız, Tanrımız'ın adıyla sancaklarımızı dikeceğiz. RAB senin bütün dileklerini yerine getirsin.

6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he wilt answer him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Şimdi anladım ki, RAB meshettiği kralı kurtarıyor, Sağ elinin kurtarıcı gücüyle Kutsal göklerinden ona yanıt veriyor.

7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will make mention of the name of the LORD our God.

Bazıları savaş arabalarına, Bazıları atlarına güvenir, Bizse Tanrımız RAB'bin adına güveniriz.

8 They are bowed down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

Onlar çöküyor, düşüyorlar; Bizse kalkıyor, dimdik duruyoruz.

9 Save, LORD: let the King answer us when we call.

Ya RAB, kralı kurtar! Yanıtla bizi sana yakardığımız gün!
