Psalms 20

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;

੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਬਿਪਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਕਰੇ।

2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

੨ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਭੇਜੇ, ਅਤੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲੇ,

3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; (Selah)

੩ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੇ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰੇ। ਸਲਹ।

4 Grant thee thy heart’s desire, and fulfill all thy counsel.

੪ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇ।

5 We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions.

੫ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਖੜੇ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇ।

6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he wilt answer him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

੬ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਾਲ।

7 Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will make mention of the name of the LORD our God.

੭ਕੋਈ ਰਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।

8 They are bowed down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

੮ਓਹ ਝੁਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਠੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ।

9 Save, LORD: let the King answer us when we call.

੯ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਬਚਾ ਲੈ! ਸਾਡੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ!
