Psalms 18
1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: and he said, I love thee, O LORD, my strength.
ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸೌಲನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಪದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದ್ದು. ದಾವೀದನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು: ನನ್ನ ಬಲವಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strong rock, in him will I trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಬಂಡೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಕೋಟೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚಕರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನನ್ನ ಬಂಡೆಯಾದ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾನು ಭರವಸವಿಡುವೆನು ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಗುರಾಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಕೊಂಬು, ನನ್ನ ಉನ್ನತವಾದ ದುರ್ಗ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
ಸ್ತುತಿ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
4 The cords of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
ಮರಣದ ಪಾಶಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡವು; ವಿನಾಶಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದವು.
ಪಾತಾಳದ ಪಾಶಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡವು; ಮರಣದ ಬಲೆಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದವು. (Sheol h7585)
6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry before him came into his ears.
ನನ್ನ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿದೆನು; ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟೆನು; ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಂದಿರದೊಳಗಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು; ನನ್ನ ಮೊರೆಯು ಅವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿ ಸೇರಿ ಅವರ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬಿತ್ತು.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled, me foundations also of the mountains moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
ದೇವರು ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯು ನಡುಗಿ ಕದಲಿದವು; ಪರ್ವತಗಳ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳು ಸಹ ಕದಲಿದವು.
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
ಮೂಗಿನಿಂದ ಹೊಗೆ ಬಂದಂತೆಯೂ ಬಾಯಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ದಹಿಸುವ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಹೊರಟಂತೆಯೂ; ಕೆಂಡಗಳು ಅದರಿಂದ ಜ್ವಾಲಿಸಿದಂತೆಯೂ ಇರಲು,
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down, and thick darkness was under his feet.
ದೇವರು ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಗಿಸಿ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದು ಬಂದರು; ಅವರ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಮೋಡಗಳಿದ್ದವು.
10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly, yea, he flew swiftly upon the wings of the wind.
ಅವರು ಕೆರೂಬಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂತು ಹಾರಿದರು, ಗಾಳಿಯ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
11 He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion round about him; darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
ಅವರು ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಳೆ ತರುವ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕಾರ್ಮೋಡಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪರದೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
12 At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.
ಅವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಮೋಡಗಳು, ಕಲ್ಮಳೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಗುಡುಗು ಮಿಂಚುಗಳು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದವು.
13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice; hailstones and coals of fire.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಕಾಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡುಗಿದರು; ಮಹೋನ್ನತ ದೇವರ ಧ್ವನಿಯು ಕಲ್ಮಳೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಿಂಚುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸಿತು.
14 And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; yea, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.
ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಎಸೆದು ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಚದರಿಸಿದರು; ಸಿಡಿಲಿನಿಂದ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಅಟ್ಟಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
15 Then the channels of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were laid bare, at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗದರಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೂಗಿನ ಶ್ವಾಸದ ಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತಳವು ಕಾಣಿಸಿದವು, ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳು ಬಯಲಾದವು.
16 He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters.
ಅವರು ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅಗಾಧವಾದ ಜಲರಾಶಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆಳೆದರು.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
ಅವರು ನನಗಿಂತ ಶಕ್ತಿಶಾಲಿಯಾದ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ, ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.
18 They came upon me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
ನನ್ನ ಆಪತ್ತಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ದಾಳಿಮಾಡಿದರು; ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
ದೇವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ವಿಶಾಲ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರು; ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದರು.
20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವ್ಯವಹರಿಸಿದರು; ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳ ಶುದ್ಧತ್ವದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡೆನು; ನನ್ನ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
22 For all his judgments were before me, and I put not away his statutes from me.
ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಅವರ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳಿಂದ ನಾನು ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
23 I was also perfect with him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
ನಾನು ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯು ನಾನು ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆನು.
24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳ ಶುದ್ಧತ್ವದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೂ ನನಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with the perfect man thou wilt shew thyself perfect;
ದಯವಂತರಿಗೆ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದಯವಂತರಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗೆ ನೀವು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.
26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the perverse thou wilt shew thyself froward.
ಶುದ್ಧರಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ. ವಕ್ರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.
27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes thou wilt bring down.
ದೀನರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ, ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಗರ್ವಿಷ್ಠರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.
28 For thou wilt light my lamp: the LORD my God will lighten my darkness.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿರಿ. ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಡಿಸುವರು.
29 For by thee I run upon a troop; and by my God do I leap over a wall.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ವೈರಿಸೇನೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋಗುವೆನು, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೋಟೆಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನೂ ಹಾರುವೆನು.
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried; he is a shield unto all them that trust in him.
ದೇವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣವಾದದ್ದು, ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ದೋಷವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದು; ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅವರು ಗುರಾಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
31 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, beside our God?
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರು ಯಾರು? ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಕ ಯಾರು?
32 The God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
ಬಲದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಆಯುಧವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತಗೊಳಿಸುವ ದೇವರು ಅವರೇ.
33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ [feet]: and setteth me upon my high places,
ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಜಿಂಕೆಗಳ ಕಾಲುಗಳಂತೆ ಚುರುಕು ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
34 He teacheth my hands to war; so that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.
ಅವರು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ತರಬೇತುಕೊಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನ ಭುಜದಿಂದ ಕಂಚಿನ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಬಗ್ಗಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಗುರಾಣಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗೈ ನನಗೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿದೆ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಘನವಂತನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲಡಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಶಾಲಸ್ಥಳ ಒದಗಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ, ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿಗಳು ಜಾರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
37 I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them: neither will I turn again till they are consumed.
ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿಬಿಡುವವರೆಗೂ ನಾನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
38 I will smite them through that they shall not be able to rise: they shall fall under my feet.
ಏಳಲಾರದಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ತುಳಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟೆನು; ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರು.
39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
ನೀವು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಆಯುಧವನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಅಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
40 Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, that I might cut off them that hate me.
ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಬೆನ್ನುಮಾಡಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ; ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದೆನು.
41 They cried, but there was none to save: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
ಅವರು ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟರು, ಆದರೆ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೂ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟರು, ಆದರೆ ಅವರೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.
ಅವರನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಬಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಧೂಳಿನಂತೆ ಪುಡಿಪುಡಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು; ಬೀದಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಕೆಸರು ಎಂಬಂತೆ ತುಳಿದು ಎಸೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟೆನು.
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; thou hast made me the head of the nations: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಒಳಕಲಹದಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾಯಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಅರಿಯದ ಜನರು ನನಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗುವರು.
44 As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
ವಿದೇಶಿಯರು ನನಗೆ ಅಧೀನರಾದರು; ನನ್ನ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಕೇಳಿದ ಕೂಡಲೇ ನನಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರಾಗುವರು.
45 The strangers shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their close places.
ಅವರು ಭಯಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ನಡುಗುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೋಟೆಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಬರುವರು.
46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation:
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಜೀವಿಸುವ ದೇವರು! ನನ್ನ ಆಶ್ರಯವಾಗಿರುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ದೇವರು ಮಹಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದಲಿ.
47 Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, and subdueth peoples under me.
ದೇವರೇ ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವವರೂ ಜನರನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ಅಧೀನಪಡಿಸುವವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
48 He rescueth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me: thou deliverest me from the violent man.
ದೇವರು ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವವನಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ.
49 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises unto thy name.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವೆನು, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕೀರ್ತಿಸುವೆನು.
50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth lovingkindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed, for evermore.
ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವರು; ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನಿಗೂ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಿಗೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವರು.
