Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the assembly of the saints.

Aleluja! Pojte Gospodu pesem novo; hvalo njegovo v zboru njih, katere sprejema prijazno.

2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Veséli se Izrael v njem, ki ga je ustvaril; sinovi Sijonski naj se radujejo v kralji svojem.

3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

Hvalijo naj ime njegovo s piščaljo; z bobnom in strunami naj mu prepevajo.

4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Ker milosten je Gospod z ljudstvom svojim; krotke diči z blaginjo.

5 Let the saints exult in glory: let them sing for joy upon their beds.

Radujejo se naj v slavi prijazno sprejeti; pojó naj na ležiščih svojih,

6 [Let] the high praises of God [be] in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

Hvalo povišujočo Boga mogočnega v grlu svojem, in meč dvorezni v roki svoji.

7 To execute vengeance upon the nations, and punishments upon the peoples;

Da se mašujejo nad narodi, ljudstva pokoré.

8 To bind their king’s with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

Da zvežejo z verigami njih kralje; in njih plemenitnike z vezmi železnimi.

9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

Da nad njimi spolnijo pisano pravico; kar je čast vsem onim, katere sprejema prijazno. Aleluja!
