Psalms 148

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

主をほめたたえよ。もろもろの天から主をほめたたえよ。もろもろの高き所で主をほめたたえよ。

2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his host.

その天使よ、みな主をほめたたえよ。その万軍よ、みな主をほめたたえよ。

3 Praise ye him, sun and moon; praise him, all ye stars of light.

日よ、月よ、主をほめたたえよ。輝く星よ、みな主をほめたたえよ。

4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

いと高き天よ、天の上にある水よ、主をほめたたえよ。

5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

これらのものに主のみ名をほめたたえさせよ、これらは主が命じられると造られたからである。

6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass away.

主はこれらをとこしえに堅く定め、越えることのできないその境を定められた。

7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

海の獣よ、すべての淵よ、地から主をほめたたえよ。

8 Fire and hail, snow and vapour; stormy wind, fulfilling his word:

火よ、あられよ、雪よ、霜よ、み言葉を行うあらしよ、

9 Mountains and all hills; fruitful trees and all cedars:

もろもろの山、すべての丘、実を結ぶ木、すべての香柏よ、

10 Beasts and all cattle; creeping things and flying fowl:

野の獣、すべての家畜、這うもの、翼ある鳥よ、

11 Kings of the earth and all peoples; princes and all judges of the earth:

地の王たち、すべての民、君たち、地のすべてのつかさよ、

12 Both young men and maidens; old men and children:

若い男子、若い女子、老いた人と幼い者よ、

13 Let them praise the name of the LORD; for his name alone is exalted: his glory is above the earth and heaven.

彼らをして主のみ名をほめたたえさせよ。そのみ名は高く、たぐいなく、その栄光は地と天の上にあるからである。

14 And he hath lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

主はその民のために一つの角をあげられた。これはすべての聖徒のほめたたえるもの、主に近いイスラエルの人々のほめたたえるものである。主をほめたたえよ。
