Psalms 145
1 [A Psalm of] praise; of David. I will extol thee, my God, O King; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Cantique de louange, de David. Mon Dieu, mon Roi, je t'exalterai; je bénirai ton nom à toujours, à perpétuité.
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Chaque jour je te bénirai; je louerai ton nom à toujours, à perpétuité.
3 Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
L'Éternel est grand et très digne de louange, et l'on ne saurait sonder sa grandeur.
4 One generation shall laud thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
Une génération dira la louange de tes œuvres à l'autre génération, et elles raconteront tes hauts faits.
5 Of the glorious majesty of thine honour, and of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.
Je m'entretiendrai de la splendeur glorieuse de ta majesté, et de tes œuvres merveilleuses.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; and I will declare thy greatness.
On dira la puissance de tes exploits redoutables, et je raconterai ta grandeur.
7 They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
On publiera le souvenir de ta grande bonté, et l'on chantera ta justice.
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
L'Éternel est miséricordieux et compatissant, lent à la colère et grand en bonté.
9 The LORD is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works.
L'Éternel est bon envers tous, et ses compassions sont sur toutes ses œuvres.
10 All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
O Éternel, toutes tes œuvres te célébreront, et tes bien-aimés te béniront!
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
Ils diront la gloire de ton règne, et ils raconteront ta puissance;
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.
Pour faire connaître aux fils des hommes tes hauts faits, et la glorieuse magnificence de ton règne.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endureth] throughout all generations.
Ton règne est un règne de tous les siècles, et ta domination dure dans tous les âges.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
L'Éternel soutient tous ceux qui sont près de tomber, et il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
Les yeux de tous s'attendent à toi, et tu leur donnes leur nourriture en son temps.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
Tu ouvres ta main, et tu rassasies à souhait tout ce qui vit.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.
L'Éternel est juste dans toutes ses voies, et plein de bonté dans toutes ses œuvres.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
L'Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l'invoquent, de tous ceux qui l'invoquent en vérité.
19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him; he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Il accomplit le souhait de ceux qui le craignent; il entend leur cri, et les délivre.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
L'Éternel garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, mais il détuira tous les méchants.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Ma bouche publiera la louange de l'Éternel, et toute chair bénira le nom de sa sainteté, à toujours et à perpétuité.
