< Psalms 14 >
1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; there is none that doeth good.
Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. Kuo pehē ʻe he vale ʻi hono loto, “ʻOku ʻikai ha ʻOtua.” Kuo kovi ʻakinautolu, kuo nau fai ʻae ngaahi ngāue fakalielia, ʻoku ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻoku fai lelei.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek after God.
Naʻe ʻafio hifo ʻe Sihova mei he langi ki he fānau ʻae tangata, ke ʻafio pē ʻoku ai ha niʻihi ʻoku ʻilo, mo kumi ki he ʻOtua.
3 They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Kuo ʻalu hē kotoa pē, kuo nau hoko ʻo fakalielia kotoa pē: ʻoku ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻoku fai lelei, ʻoku ʻikai ʻaupito ha taha.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
“ʻOku ʻikai ha ʻilo ʻiate kinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku fai kovi? ʻAkinautolu ʻoku kai ʻo ʻosi hoku kakai ʻo hangē ko ʻenau kai mā, pea ʻoku ʻikai te nau ui kia Sihova.”
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Pea naʻa nau manavahē ai ʻi he manavahē lahi: he ʻoku ʻi he toʻutangata ʻoe māʻoniʻoni ʻae ʻOtua.
6 Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
Naʻa mou manukiʻi ʻae fakakaukau ʻoe masiva, ka ko hono hūfanga ʻa Sihova.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, then shall Jacob rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
Ko hai te ne foaki mei Saione ʻae fakamoʻui ki ʻIsileli? ʻOka toe ʻomi ʻe Sihova hono kakai kuo pōpula, ʻe fiefia ai ʻa Sēkope, pea nekeneka ʻa ʻIsileli.
