Psalms 13

1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O LORD, wilt thou forget me for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

Przewodnikowi chóru. Psalm Dawida. Jak długo, PANIE? Zapomnisz o mnie na wieki? Jak długo będziesz ukrywał przede mną swoje oblicze?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart all the day? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Jak długo będę szukał rady w swojej duszy i codziennie trapił się w sercu? Jak długo mój wróg będzie się nade mnie wynosił?

3 Consider [and] answer me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;

Spójrz i wysłuchaj mnie, PANIE, mój Boże! Oświeć moje oczy, bym nie zasnął w śmierci;

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [lest] mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

By nie powiedział mój wróg: Pokonałem go! Niech się nie cieszą moi nieprzyjaciele, gdy się zachwieję.

5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation:

Lecz ja zaufałem twemu miłosierdziu; moje serce rozraduje się twoim zbawieniem.

6 I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Będę śpiewał PANU, bo obdarzył mnie dobrem.
