Psalms 127

1 A Song of Ascents; of Solomon. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

১আরোহণ গীত। শলোমনের। যদি সদাপ্রভুু গৃহ তৈরী না করেন, তারা বৃথাই কাজ করে, যারা তা তৈরী করে। যদি সদাপ্রভুু শহর পাহারা না দেন, পাহারাদার বৃথাই দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে।

2 It is vain for you that ye rise up early, and so late take rest, and eat the bread of toil: [for] so he giveth unto his beloved sleep.

২এটা বৃথা যদি তোমরা ভোরে উঠ, দেরীতে বাড়ি আস অথবা পরিশ্রমের খাবার খাও কারণ সদাপ্রভু তাঁর প্রিয়পাত্রকে ঘুমের মধ্যে এইরকম দেন।

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb is [his] reward.

৩দেখ শিশুরা সদাপ্রভুুর থেকে পাওয়া অধিকার, গর্ভেরফল তাঁর থেকে পাওয়া পুরষ্কার।

4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth.

৪যেমন সৈনিকের হাতে বান, সেরকম যৌবনের সন্তানরা।

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

৫ধন্য সেই মানুষ, যার তূন এরকম বানে পূর্ণ; তারা লজ্জিত হবে না, যখন তারা দরজায় শত্রুদের সঙ্গে মুখোমুখি হয়।
