Psalms 121

1 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come?

Matkalaulu. Minä nostan silmäni vuoria kohti: mistä tulee minulle apu?

2 My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Apu minulle tulee Herralta, joka on tehnyt taivaan ja maan.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Hän ei salli sinun jalkasi horjua, sinun varjelijasi ei torku.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Katso, hän, joka Israelia varjelee, ei torku eikä nuku.

5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

Herra on sinun varjelijasi, Herra on suojaava varjosi sinun oikealla puolellasi.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

Ei polta sinua aurinko päivällä, eikä kuu yöllä.

7 The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; he shall keep thy soul.

Herra varjelee sinut kaikesta pahasta, hän varjelee sinun sielusi.

8 The LORD shall keep thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for evermore.

Herra varjelee sinun lähtemisesi ja tulemisesi, nyt ja iankaikkisesti.
