Psalms 120

1 A Song of Ascents. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he answered me.

૧ચઢવાનું ગીત. મારા સંકટમાં મેં યહોવાહને પોકાર કર્યો અને તેમણે મને ઉત્તર આપ્યો.

2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, [and] from a deceitful tongue.

૨હે યહોવાહ, જેઓ પોતાના હોઠોથી જૂઠું બોલે છે અને તેમની જીભથી છેતરે છે, તેઓથી તમે મારા આત્માને બચાવો.

3 What shall be given unto thee, and what shall be done more unto thee, thou deceitful tongue?

૩હે કપટી જીભ, તને તો તે શું કરશે? અને તારા તે શા હાલ કરશે?

4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

૪તને યોદ્ધાઓ તીક્ષ્ણ બાણોથી વીંધશે, અને ધગધગતા કોલસાથી તને દઝાડાશે.

5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

૫મને અફસોસ છે કે હું મેશેખમાં રહું છું; અગાઉ હું કેદારના તંબુઓ મધ્યે રહેતો હતો.

6 My soul hath long had her dwelling with him that hateth peace.

૬જે શાંતિ પર દ્વેષ રાખે છે તેની સાથે રહીને હવે તો હું ધરાઈ ગયો છું.

7 I am [for] peace: but when I speak, they are for war.

૭હું શાંતિ ચાહું છું, પણ જ્યારે હું બોલું છું, ત્યારે તેઓ લડાઈ કરવા માગે છે.
