Psalms 116
1 I LOVE the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Medɔ Awurade efisɛ, ɔtee me nne. Ɔtee me mmɔborɔsu.
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call [upon him] as long as I live.
Esiane sɛ ɔbrɛɛ nʼaso ase maa me nti, mɛfrɛ no wɔ bere a mete ase yi.
3 The cords of death compassed me, and the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)
Owu ahama bebaree me, ɔda ho yawdi baa me so, ɔhaw ne awerɛhow hyɛɛ me so. (Sheol h7585)
4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
Afei mebɔɔ Awurade din kae se, “Awurade, gye me nkwa!”
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
Awurade yɛ ɔdomfo ne ɔtreneeni; ayamhyehye ahyɛ yɛn Nyankopɔn ma.
6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.
Awurade bɔ ɔwɛmfo ho ban; bere a mewɔ ahohia mu no, ogyee me.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
Nya abotɔyam bio, me kra, efisɛ Awurade ne wo adi no yiye.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, [and] my feet from falling.
Na wo, Awurade, woagye me kra afi owu mu; woamma mʼani amporow nisu, na woamma mʼanan anhintiw
9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
sɛ mɛnantew Awurade anim wɔ ateasefo asase so.
10 I believe, for I will speak: I was greatly afflicted:
Migye dii; ɛno nti mekae se, “Mewɔ ahohia kɛse mu.”
11 I said in my haste, All men are a lie.
Na mʼahokyere mu mekae se, “Nnipa nyinaa yɛ atorofo.”
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
Dɛn na metumi de atua Awurade ka wɔ ne papa a wayɛ me nyinaa?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
Mɛma nkwagye kuruwa no so na mabɔ Awurade din.
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people.
Medi bɔ a mahyɛ Awurade no nyinaa so wɔ ne nkurɔfo nyinaa anim.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Awurade nkoa nokwafo wu som bo wɔ Awurade ani so.
16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant: I am thy servant, the son of thine handmaid; thou hast loosed my bonds.
Awurade, ampa ara meyɛ wo somfo; meyɛ wo somfo, wʼafenaa babarima; woayi me afi me mpokyerɛ mu.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
Mɛbɔ aseda afɔre ama wo na mabɔ Awurade din.
18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people.
Medi me ntam a maka Awurade no so wɔ ne nkurɔfo nyinaa anim,
19 In the courts of the LORD’S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
