Psalms 114

1 When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

१जेव्हा इस्राएल मिसरातून, याकोबाचे घराणे त्या परकी लोकांतून निघाले,

2 Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

२तेव्हा यहूदा त्याचे पवित्रस्थान झाला, इस्राएल त्याचे राज्य झाले.

3 The sea saw it, and fled; Jordan was driven back.

३समुद्राने पाहिले आणि पळाला; यार्देन मागे हटली.

4 The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like young sheep.

४पर्वतांनी मेंढ्यांसारख्या, टेकड्यांनी कोकरासारख्या उड्या मारल्या.

5 What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? thou Jordan, that thou turnest back?

५हे समुद्रा, तू का पळून गेलास? यार्देने तू का मागे हटलीस?

6 Ye mountains, that ye skip like rams; ye little hills, like young sheep?

६पर्वतांनो, तुम्ही मेंढ्यांसारख्या का उड्या मारता? लहान टेकड्यांनो, तुम्ही कोकरासारख्या का उड्या मारता?

7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

७हे पृथ्वी, तू प्रभूसमोर, याकोबाच्या देवासमोर थरथर काप.

8 Which turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

८तो खडक पाण्याच्या तळ्यात, कठीण खडक पाण्याच्या झऱ्यात बदलतो.
