Proverbs 7
1 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
১আমার পুত্র, আমার কথা সব পালন কর, আমার আদেশ সব তোমার কাছে সঞ্চয় কর।
2 Keep my commandments and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
২আমার আদেশ সব পালন কর, জীবন পাবে এবং চোখের তারার মত আমার ব্যবস্থা রক্ষা কর;
3 Bind them upon thy fingers; write them upon the table of thine heart.
৩তোমার আঙ্গুলে সেগুলো বেঁধে রাখ, তোমার হৃদয় ফলকে তা লিখে রাখ।
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding [thy] kinswoman:
৪প্রজ্ঞাকে বল, “তুমি আমার বোন এবং সুবিবেচনাকে তোমার সখী বল,”
5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
৫তাতে তুমি পরস্ত্রী থেকে রক্ষা পাবে, ব্যাভিচারিনীর স্বছন্দ শব্দ থেকে রক্ষা পাবে।
6 For at the window of my house I looked forth through my lattice;
৬আমি নিজের ঘরের জানালা থেকে জালি দিয়ে দেখছিলাম;
7 And I beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
৭নির্বোধদের মধ্যে আমার চোখ পড়ল, আমি যুবকদের মধ্যে এক জনকে দেখলাম, সে বুদ্ধিহীন যুবক।
8 Passing through the street near her corner, and he went the way to her house;
৮সে গলিতে গেল, ঐ স্ত্রীর কোণের কাছে আসল, তার বাড়ীর পথে চলল।
9 In the twilight, in the evening of the day, in the blackness of night and the darkness.
৯তখন সন্ধ্যাবেলা, দিন শেষ হয়েছিল, রাত অন্ধকার হয়েছিল।
10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and wily of heart.
১০তখন দেখ, এক স্ত্রী তার সামনে আসল, সে বেশ্যার পোশাক পরেছিল ও অভিসন্ধির হৃদয় ছিল;
11 She is clamorous, and wilful; her feet abide not in her house:
১১সে ঝগড়াটে ও অবাধ্যা, তার পা ঘরে থাকে না;
12 Now she is in the streets, now in the broad places, and lieth in wait at every corner.
১২সে কখনও সড়কে, কখনও রাস্তায়, কোণে কোণে অপেক্ষা করতে থাকে।
13 So she caught him, and kissed him, [and] with an impudent face she said unto him:
১৩সে তাকে ধরে চুমু খেল, নির্লজ্জ মুখে তাকে বলল,
14 Sacrifices of peace offerings are with me; this day have I paid my vows.
১৪আমাকে মঙ্গলের জন্য বলিদান করতে হয়েছে, আজ আমি নিজের মানত পূর্ণ করেছি;
15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
১৫তাই তোমার সঙ্গে দেখা করতে বাইরে এসেছি, সযত্নে তোমার মুখ দেখতে এসেছি, তোমাকে পেয়েছি।
16 I have spread my couch with carpets of tapestry, with striped cloths of the yarn of Egypt.
১৬আমি খাটে বুটাদার চাদর পেতেছি, মিশরের সূতোর্ চিত্রবিচিত্র পর্দার কাপড় লাগিয়েছি।
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
১৭আমি গন্ধরস, অগুরু ও দারুচিনি দিয়ে নিজের বিছানা গন্ধে ভরিয়ে দিয়েছি।
18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning; let us solace ourselves with loves.
১৮চল, আমরা সকাল পর্যন্ত কামরসে মত্ত হই, আমরা প্রেমের বাহুল্যে আমোদ করি।
19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:
১৯কারণ কর্তা ঘরে নেই, তিনি দূরে গেছেন;
20 He hath taken a bag of money with him; he will come home at the full moon.
২০টাকার তোড়া সঙ্গে নিয়ে গেছেন, পূর্ণিমার দিন ঘরে আসবেন।
21 With her much fair speech she causeth him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forceth him away.
২১অনেক মিষ্টি কথায় সে তার মন চুরি করল, ঠোটের চাটুকরিতে তাকে আকর্ষণ করল।
22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as fetters to the correction of the fool;
২২তখনি সে তার পেছনে গেল, যেমন গরু মরতে যায়, যেমন শেকলে বাঁধা ব্যক্তি বকর শাস্তি পেতে যায়;
23 Till an arrow strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
২৩শেষে তার যকৃত বানে বিধল; যেমন পাখি ফাঁদে পড়তে বেগে ধাবিত হয়, আর জানে না যে, তার জীবন বিপদগ্রস্ত।
24 Now therefore, [my] sons, hearken unto me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
২৪এখন আমার পুত্ররা, আমার কথা শোন, আমার মুখের কথায় মন দাও।
25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
২৫তোমার মন ওর পথে না যাক, তুমি ওর পথে যেও না।
26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, all her slain are a mighty host.
২৬কারণ সে অনেককে আঘাত করে মেরে ফেলেছে, তারা গণনা করতে পারবে না।
