Proverbs 31
1 The words of king Lemuel; the oracle which his mother taught him.
Моя словеса рекошася от Бога, царево пророчество, егоже наказа мати его:
2 What, my son? and what, O son of my womb, and what, O son of my vows?
что, чадо, (соблюдеши, ) что речение Божие? Первородне, тебе глаголю, сыне: что, чадо моего чрева? Что, чадо моих молитв?
3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
Не даждь женам твоего богатства и твоего ума и жития в последний совет.
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes [to say], Where is strong drink?
С советом все твори, с советом пий вино: сильнии гневливи суть, вина да не пиют,
5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any that is afflicted.
да напившеся не забудут мудрости и право судити немощным не возмогут.
6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto the bitter in soul:
Дадите сикера сущым в печалех и вино пити сущым в болезнех,
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
да забудут убожества и болезней не воспомянут ктому.
8 Open thy mouth for the dumb, in the cause of all such as are left desolate.
Сыне, отверзай уста твоя слову Божию и суди вся здраво:
9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and minister judgment to the poor and needy.
отверзай уста твоя и суди праведно, разсуждай же убога и немощна.
10 A virtuous woman who can find? for her price is far above rubies.
Жену доблю кто обрящет, дражайши есть камения многоценнаго таковая:
11 The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall have no lack of gain.
дерзает на ню сердце мужа ея: таковая добрых корыстей не лишится:
12 She doeth him good and not evil all the days of her life.
делает бо мужу своему благая во все житие:
13 She seeketh wool and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
обретши волну и лен, сотвори благопотребное рукама своима.
14 She is like the merchant-ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
Бысть яко корабль куплю дея, издалеча собирает себе богатство:
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and their task to her maidens.
и востает из нощи, и даде брашна дому и дела рабыням.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
Узревши село купи, от плодов же рук своих насади стяжание.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and maketh strong her arms.
Препоясавши крепко чресла своя, утвердит мышцы своя на дело,
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is profitable: her lamp goeth not out by night.
и вкуси, яко добро есть делати, и не угасает светилник ея всю нощь.
19 She layeth her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.
Лакти своя простирает на полезная, руце же свои утверждает на вретено,
20 She spreadeth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
и руце свои отверзает убогому, длань же простре нищу.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Не печется о сущих в дому муж ея, егда где замедлит: вси бо у нея одеяни суть.
22 She maketh for herself carpets of tapestry; her clothing is fine linen and purple.
Сугуба одеяния сотвори мужу своему, от виссона же и порфиры себе одеяния.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
Славен бывает во вратех муж ея, внегда аще сядет в сонмищи со старейшины жительми земли.
24 She maketh linen garments and selleth them; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
Плащаницы сотвори и продаде Финикианом, опоясания же Хананеом.
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laugheth at the time to come.
Уста своя отверзе внимателно и законно и чин заповеда языку своему.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and the law of kindness is on her tongue.
Крепостию и лепотою облечеся, и возвеселися во дни последния.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Тесны стези дому ея, брашна же леностнаго не яде.
28 Her children rise up, and call her blessed; her husband [also], and he praiseth her, [saying]:
Уста своя отверзе мудро и законно.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Милостыня же ея возстави чада ея, и обогатишася: и муж ея похвали ю:
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: [but] a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
многи дщери стяжаша богатство, многи сотвориша силу: ты же предуспела и превознеслася еси над всеми:
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her works praise her in the gates.
ложнаго угождения и суетныя доброты женския несть в тебе: жена бо разумная благословена есть: страх же Господень сия да хвалит. Дадите ей от плодов устен ея, и да хвалимь будет во вратех муж ея.
