Proverbs 31
1 The words of king Lemuel; the oracle which his mother taught him.
ಅರಸನಾದ ಲೆಮೂವೇಲನ ಮಾತುಗಳು, ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದ ದೈವಿಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮಾತುಗಳು:
2 What, my son? and what, O son of my womb, and what, O son of my vows?
ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ ಕೇಳು, ನನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭಪುತ್ರನೇ ಕೇಳು! ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರವಾದ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ ಕೇಳು!
3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
ನಿನ್ನ ತ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸದಿರು. ರಾಜರನ್ನೇ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹಣ ಸಮಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಯಮಾಡದಿರು.
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes [to say], Where is strong drink?
ಲೆಮೂವೇಲನೇ, ಕುಡುಕತನವು ರಾಜರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸ ಕುಡಿಯುವದು ರಾಜರಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಲ್ಲ. ಮದ್ಯಪಾನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಲ್ಲ;
5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any that is afflicted.
ಕುಡಿದರೆ ಅವರು ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಮರೆತು, ಬಾಧಿತರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto the bitter in soul:
ನಾಶವಾಗುವವರಿಗೆ ಮದ್ಯಪಾನವಿರಲಿ. ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಪಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಮದ್ಯವಿರಲಿ.
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.
ಅವರು ಕುಡಿದು ಬಡತನವನ್ನು ಮರೆಯಲಿ. ತಮ್ಮ ಯಾತನೆಯನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಾರದಿರಲಿ.
8 Open thy mouth for the dumb, in the cause of all such as are left desolate.
ತಮಗಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡು, ಅನಾಥರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕುವಂತೆ ಬಾಯಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮಾತನಾಡು.
9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and minister judgment to the poor and needy.
ಅವರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸು. ಬಡವರಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಹಕ್ಕುಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡು.
10 A virtuous woman who can find? for her price is far above rubies.
ಗುಣವತಿಯಾದ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಳು? ಅವಳು ಹವಳಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಬಹು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯಳು.
11 The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall have no lack of gain.
ಅವಳ ಪತಿಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಆದಾಯದ ಕೊರತೆಯೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
12 She doeth him good and not evil all the days of her life.
ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುವಳು.
13 She seeketh wool and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
ಆಕೆಯು ಉಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸೆಣಬನ್ನೂ ತಂದು, ತನ್ನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುವಳು.
14 She is like the merchant-ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
ಆಕೆಯು ವರ್ತಕರ ಹಡಗುಗಳಂತೆ ಇರುವಳು; ದೂರದಿಂದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಆಕೆಯು ತರುವಳು.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and their task to her maidens.
ಇನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಆಕೆಯು ಏಳುವಳು; ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ತನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯರಿಗೆ ದಿನದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಹಂಚುವಳು.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
ಆಕೆಯು ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ತನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಆದಾಯದಿಂದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾಲತೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and maketh strong her arms.
ಆಕೆಯು ನಡುಕಟ್ಟಿ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುತ ತೋಳುಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is profitable: her lamp goeth not out by night.
ತನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರವು ಲಾಭದಾಯಕವೆಂದು ಅವಳು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ದೀಪವು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆರದು.
19 She layeth her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.
ಅವಳು ರಾಟೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಿ, ಕದಿರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
20 She spreadeth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
ಆಕೆಯು ಬಡವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೈ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹೌದು, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ದಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
ಚಳಿಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬೆಚ್ಚನೆಯ ಕಂಬಳಿಗಳಿವೆ.
22 She maketh for herself carpets of tapestry; her clothing is fine linen and purple.
ಆಕೆಯು ತಾನೇ ಕಂಬಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ಉಡುಪೋ ನಾರುಮಡಿ, ರಕ್ತಾಂಬರ.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
ಆಕೆಯ ಪತಿಯು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿತ. ದೇಶದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವನು.
24 She maketh linen garments and selleth them; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
ಆಕೆಯು ನಯವಾದ ನಾರುಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ನೇಯ್ದು ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಯು ನಡುಕಟ್ಟುಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ವರ್ತಕರಿಗೆ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laugheth at the time to come.
ಆಕೆಯ ಉಡುಪು ಬಲವೂ ಘನತೆಯೂ ಆಗಿವೆ. ಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ತಿನ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಕೆಯು ನಗುವಳು.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and the law of kindness is on her tongue.
ಆಕೆಯು ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆಕೆಯ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇದೆ.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಗೃಹಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಸೋಮಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡದೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
28 Her children rise up, and call her blessed; her husband [also], and he praiseth her, [saying]:
ಆಕೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎದ್ದು, ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಧನ್ಯಳೆಂದು ಕರೆಯುವರು. ಆಕೆಯ ಪತಿಯು ಸಹ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು,
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
“ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಗುಣವತಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಳು,” ಎಂದು ಹೊಗಳುವನು.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: [but] a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವು ಮೋಸಕರವಾದದ್ದು, ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವಳೇ ಪ್ರಶಂಸನೀಯಳು.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her works praise her in the gates.
ಆಕೆಯ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸಿರಿ. ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ದ್ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಲಿ.
