Proverbs 29
1 He that being often reproved hardeneth his neck shall suddenly be broken, and that without remedy.
ಅನೇಕಬಾರಿ ಗದರಿಸಿದರೂ ತಗ್ಗದ ಹಟಮಾರಿ ಪರಿಹಾರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಮುರಿದು ಬೀಳುವನು.
2 When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice: but when a wicked man beareth rule, the people sigh.
ಶಿಷ್ಟರು ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ ಜನರು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ಆಳಿದರೆ, ಜನರಿಗೆ ನರಳಾಟ.
3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots wasteth [his] substance.
ಜ್ಞಾನಪ್ರಿಯನು ತಂದೆಗೆ ಆನಂದ ಆದರೆ ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯರ ಸಹವಾಸದಿಂದ ಆಸ್ತಿಯ ವಿನಾಶ.
4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that exacteth gifts overthroweth it.
ನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಲಂಚಕೋರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾನೆ.
5 A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his steps.
ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಸುಮ್ಮನೇ ಹೊಗಳುತ್ತಿರುವವನು, ನೆರೆಯವನ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನು ಒಡ್ಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
ಕೆಟ್ಟವನು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪದಿಂದಲೇ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಹಾಡಿ ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
7 The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor: the wicked hath not understanding to know [it].
ಬಡವರ ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಚಿಂತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಅಂಥಾ ಚಿಂತೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
8 Scornful men set a city in a flame: but wise men turn away wrath.
ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಲಾಟೆ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸುವರು.
9 If a wise man hath a controversy with a foolish man, whether he be angry or laugh, there will be no rest.
ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯಮಾಡುವಾಗ, ಮೂರ್ಖನು ರೇಗಿದರೂ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೇ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
10 The bloodthirsty hate him that is perfect: and as for the upright, they seek his life.
ಕೊಲೆಪಾತಕರು ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
11 A fool uttereth all his anger: but a wise man keepeth it back and stilleth it.
ಮೂಢನು ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುವನು. ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಶಾಂತಿಯಿಂದ ತಡೆಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
12 If a ruler hearkeneth to falsehood, all his servants are wicked.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯು ಸುಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟರೆ, ಅವನ ಸೇವಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದುಷ್ಟರಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
13 The poor man and the oppressor meet together: the LORD lighteneth the eyes of them both.
ಬಡವರಿಗೂ ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆ ನಡೆಸುವವರಿಗೂ ಒಂದು ಸಂಗತಿ ಹುದುವಾಗಿರುವುದು: ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವರು ಎಂಬುದೇ.
14 The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.
ಅರಸನು ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.
ಬೆತ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆದರಿಕೆಗಳು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತವೆ; ಆದರೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟ ಹುಡುಗನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
16 When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall look upon their fall.
ದುಷ್ಟರು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾದಾಗ, ಪಾಪವು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬೀಳುವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ನೋಡುವರು.
17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಮನಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವರು; ಹೌದು, ಅವರು ನೀನು ಬಯಸುವ ಹರ್ಷವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ತರುವರು.
18 Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
ದೈವ ಪ್ರಕಟನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದಿರುವಾಗ, ಜನರು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ಧನ್ಯನು.
19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not give heed.
ಮಾತಿನಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರನ್ನು ತಿದ್ದಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೂ, ಅದರಂತೆ ನಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
ದುಡುಕಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀಯೋ? ಅಂಥವನಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದೆ.
21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become a son at the last.
ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರನನ್ನು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ, ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನು ಎದುರು ಬೀಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ.
22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a wrathful man aboundeth in transgression.
ಕೋಪಿಷ್ಟನು ಜಗಳವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುವನು, ಮುಂಗೋಪಿಯು ಅನೇಕ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but he that is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honour.
ಗರ್ವವು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಹೀನಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತರುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ಆತ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೀನರು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವರು.
24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth the adjuration and uttereth nothing.
ಕಳ್ಳರ ಸಹವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವವರು ತಮಗೆ ತಾವೇ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು. ಅವರು ಆಣೆ ಇಟ್ಟರೂ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಭಯವು ಒಂದು ಉರುಲಾಗಿರುವುದು; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡುವವನು, ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವನು.
26 Many seek the ruler’s favour: but a man’s judgment [cometh] from the LORD.
ಅನೇಕರು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ದೊರಕುತ್ತದೆ.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous: and he that is upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.
ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಅಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ದುಷ್ಟರು ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕರನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
