Proverbs 23
1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently him that is before thee;
၁မင်း နှင့်အတူ ထိုင် ၍ စားသောက် သောအခါ သင့် ရှေ့ မှာ အဘယ် သူရှိသည်ကို စေ့စေ့ဆင်ခြင် လော့။
2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
၂သင် သည် စားကြူး တတ်သောသူ ဖြစ်လျှင် ၊ သင် ၏လည်ချောင်း ကို ထား နှင့် ရွယ် လော့။
3 Be not desirous of his dainties; seeing they are deceitful meat.
၃ထိုမင်း ၏ခဲဘွယ် စားဘွယ်တို့ကို အလို မ ရှိနှင့်။ လှည့်စား တတ်သော အစာ ဖြစ်၏။
4 Weary not thyself to be rich; cease from thine own wisdom.
၄ငွေ ရတတ် ခြင်းငှါ မ ကြိုးစား နှင့်။ ကိုယ် ဉာဏ် ကို အမှီ မပြုနှင့်။
5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for [riches] certainly make themselves wings, like an eagle that flieth toward heaven.
၅ပျောက် တတ်သောအရာကို စေ့စေ့မျက်မှောက် ပြုသင့်သလော။ အကယ် စင်စစ်ရွှေလင်းတ သည် မိုဃ်း ကောင်းကင်သို့ ပျံတတ်သကဲ့သို့ ၊ ထို အရာသည် အတောင် တို့ကို လုပ် ၍ ပျံ သွားတတ်၏။
6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainties:
၆မနာလို သောသူ၏ အစာ ကိုမ စား နှင့်။ သူ ၏ ခဲဘွယ် စားဘွယ်ကို အလို မ ရှိနှင့်။
7 For as he reckoneth within himself, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
၇သူ သည် စိတ် ထင် သည်အတိုင်း ဖြစ်၏။ စား သောက် တော့ဟု ဆို သော်လည်း စေတနာစိတ် မ ရှိ။
8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
၈သင် သည် စား သောအစာ ကို တဖန်အန် ရ လိမ့်မည်။ သင် ချို သော စကား လည်း ယိုယွင်း လိမ့်မည်။
9 Speak not in the hearing of a fool; for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
၉မိုက် သောသူကြား အောင် စကားမ ပြော နှင့်။ သင် ၏စကား ၌ ပါသောပညာ ကို မထီမဲ့မြင် ပြုလိမ့်မည်။
10 Remove not the ancient landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:
၁၀အရင် စိုက်သော မြေ မှတ်တိုင်ကိုမ ရွှေ့ နှင့်။ မိဘ မရှိသောသူတို့ ၏ လယ် ကို မ သိမ်း နှင့်။
11 For their redeemer is strong; he shall plead their cause against thee.
၁၁အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ထိုသူ တို့ကို ရွေး တော်မူသောသူသည် တန်ခိုး ကြီး၍၊ သင့် တဘက် ၌ သူ တို့အမှု ကို စောင့် တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။
12 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
၁၂ဆုံးမ ဩဝါဒ၌ စိတ် နှလုံးစွဲလမ်း ၍ ၊ ပညာ အတတ် စကား ကို နားခံ လော့။
13 Withhold not correction from the child: [for] if thou beat him with the rod, he shall not die.
၁၃သူငယ် ကို မ ဆုံးမဘဲမ နေနှင့်။ ကြိမ်လုံး နှင့် ရိုက် သော်လည်း သူသည် မ သေ။
၁၄ကြိမ်လုံး နှင့် ရိုက် ၍ သူ ၏အသက် ဝိညာဉ်ကို မရဏာ နိုင်ငံမှ ကယ်နှုတ် ရမည်။ (Sheol h7585)
15 My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall be glad, even mine:
၁၅ငါ့ သား ၊ သင့် နှလုံး ၌ပညာ ရှိလျှင် ငါ့ နှလုံး နှင့် ငါ့ကိုယ်တိုင်သည် ဝမ်းမြောက် လိမ့်မည်။
16 Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.
၁၆သင့် နှုတ် သည် မှန် သောစကားကို ပြော သောအခါ ၊ ငါ့ ကျောက်ကပ် ရွှင်လန်း လိမ့်မည်။
17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: but [be thou] in the fear of the LORD all the day long:
၁၇အပြစ် ထင်ရှားသောသူတို့ ကို ငြူစူ သောစိတ် မ ရှိစေနှင့်။ တနေ့လုံး ထာဝရဘုရား ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ သောသဘော ရှိစေလော့။
18 For surely there is a reward; and thy hope shall not be cut off.
၁၈အကယ် စင်စစ်အမှု ဆုံးဖြတ်ချိန်သည် ရောက် လိမ့်မည်။ သင့် မြော်လင့် ခြင်းအကြောင်းမ ပျက် ရာ။
19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.
၁၉ငါ့ သား ၊ ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင် ၍ ပညာ ရှိသဖြင့် ၊ ကိုယ် စိတ် နှလုံးကို လမ်းမ ၌ ပဲ့ပြင် လော့။
20 Be not among winebibbers; among gluttonous eaters of flesh:
၂၀စပျစ်ရည် သောက်ကြူး သောသူ၊ အမဲသား စားကြူး သောသူတို့ ကို အပေါင်းအဘော်မ လုပ် နှင့်။
21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe [a man] with rags.
၂၁သောက်ကြူး သောသူနှင့် စားကြူး သောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲ ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ အိပ်ကြူး သော သဘောသည် လူကိုအဝတ် စုတ်နှင့် ခြုံတတ်၏။
22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
၂၂သင့် ကိုဖြစ်ဘွား စေသောအဘ ၏ စကားကို နားထောင် လော့။ အသက်ကြီး သော အမိ ကို မထီမဲ့မြင် မ ပြုနှင့်။
23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; [yea], wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
၂၃သမ္မာ တရားကို ဝယ် လော့။ မ ရောင်း နှင့်။ ပညာ ကို၎င်း ၊ ဆုံးမ ဩဝါဒကို၎င်း ၊ ဉာဏ် သတ္တိကို၎င်း ထိုအတူ ပြုလော့။
24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
၂၄ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူ၏အဘ သည် အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက် လိမ့်မည်။ ပညာ ရှိသော သားကို ဖြစ်ဘွား စေသောသူသည် ထို သား၌ အားရဝမ်းမြောက် လိမ့်မည်။
25 Let thy father and thy mother be glad, and let her that bare thee rejoice.
၂၅သင်၏မိဘ တို့သည်ဝမ်းမြောက် ၍ ၊ သင့် ကို မွေးဘွား သောသူသည် ရွှင်လန်း လိမ့်မည်။
26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes delight in my ways.
၂၆ငါ့ သား ၊ သင့် နှလုံး ကို ငါ့ အား ပေး လော့။ သင့် မျက်စိ တို့သည် ငါ သွားသောလမ်း ကို ကြည့်မှတ် ပါစေ။
27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.
၂၇ပြည်တန်ဆာမ သည် နက် သောကျုံး ကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ အမျိုး ပျက်သော မိန်းမသည် ကျဉ်း သော မြေတွင်း ကဲ့သို့၎င်း ဖြစ်၏။
28 Yea, she lieth in wait as a robber, and increaseth the treacherous among men.
၂၈သူ သည် ထားပြ ကဲ့သို့ ချောင်း ကြည့်တတ်၏။ လွန်ကျူး သော ယောက်ျား များပြား စေခြင်းငှါ ပြုတတ်၏။
29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath complaining? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
၂၉အဘယ်သူ သည် ဝမ်းနည်း ခြင်းရှိသနည်း။ အဘယ်သူ သည် ညည်းတွား ခြင်းရှိသနည်း။ အဘယ်သူ သည် ရန်တွေ့ ခြင်းရှိသနည်း။ အဘယ်သူ သည် မြည်တမ်း ခြင်းရှိသနည်း။ အဘယ်သူ သည် အကျိုး အကြောင်းမရှိ၊ ထိခိုက် ၍ နာခြင်းရှိသနည်း။ အဘယ်သူ သည် မျက်စိ နီ ခြင်းရှိသနည်း ဟူမူကား၊
30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek out mixed wine.
၃၀စပျစ်ရည် ကို ကြာမြင့် စွာ သောက်လျက်နေ သောသူ၊ ဆေး နှင့်ရောသော စပျစ်ရည်ကို ရှာ တတ်သောသူတို့ သည် ထိုသို့သော လက္ခဏာ ရှိကြ၏။
31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth its colour in the cup, when it goeth down smoothly.
၃၁ဖလား ၌ နီ လျက် ၊ အရောင် တောက်လျက် ၊ အချို အမြိန်ဝင် လျက်ရှိသောစပျစ်ရည် ကို မ ကြည့် မရှုနှင့်။
32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
၃၂နောက်ဆုံး ၌ မြွေ ကဲ့သို့ ကိုက် တတ်၏။ မြွေဆိုး ကဲ့သို့ နာ စေတတ်၏။
33 Thine eyes shall behold strange things, and thine heart shall utter froward things.
၃၃သင့် မျက်စိ တို့သည် အမျိုး ပျက်သောမိန်းမတို့ကို ကြည့်ရှု ၍ ၊ သင့် နှလုံး သည်လည်း ကောက် သော စကားကို မြွက်ဆို လိမ့်မည်။
34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
၃၄အကယ် စင်စစ်သင်သည် ပင်လယ် အလယ် ၌ အိပ် သောသူ၊ သင်္ဘော ရွက်တိုင်ဖျား ပေါ် မှာ အိပ် သော သူကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ် လိမ့်မည်။
35 They have stricken me, [shalt thou say], and I was not hurt; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.
၃၅သူတို့သည် ငါ့ ကိုရိုက် ကြပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်းငါမ နာ။ ငါ့ ကိုထိုး ကြသော်လည်းငါမ သိ။ အဘယ် အချိန် မှ ငါနိုး ရမည်နည်း။ တဖန် ငါရှာ ဦးမည်ဟု သင်ဆိုလိမ့် သတည်း။
