Proverbs 11
1 A FALSE balance is an abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
ಮೋಸದ ತಕ್ಕಡಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯದ ತೂಕ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ.
2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
ಗರ್ವ ಬಂದಾಗ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯೂ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ದೀನತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಬರುವುದು.
3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of the treacherous shall destroy them.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದು; ಅಪನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರ ಕಪಟತನವೇ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವುದು.
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
ಉಗ್ರತೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಲಾಭಕರವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿಯ ನಡತೆ ಮರಣದಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸುವುದು.
5 The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.
ನಿಷ್ಕಳಂಕರ ನೀತಿಯು ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸರಾಗ ಮಾಡುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ತಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದಿಂದಲೇ ಬೀಳುವರು.
6 The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but they that deal treacherously shall be taken in their own mischief.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ನೀತಿಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವುದು; ಆದರೆ ಅಪನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರು ದುಷ್ಟ ಆಸೆಗಳಿಂದ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
7 When a wicked man dieth [his] expectation shall perish: and the hope of iniquity perisheth.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ಸಾಯುವಾಗ ಅವನ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗುವುವು; ತನ್ನ ಬಲದಿಂದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗುವುದು.
8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ದುಷ್ಟನು ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬೀಳುವನು.
9 With his mouth the godless man destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the righteous be delivered.
ಒಬ್ಬ ಭಕ್ತಿಹೀನನು ಬಾಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಿಡಿಸಲಾಗುವನು.
10 When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಹೊಂದಿದರೆ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟರು ನಾಶವಾದರೆ, ಜಯೋತ್ಸವ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಂತರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದದಿಂದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಅದು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
12 He that despiseth his neighbour is void of wisdom: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.
ಜ್ಞಾನವಿಲ್ಲದವನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರಯವನನ್ನು ಹೀನೈಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
13 He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
ಚಾಡಿಕೋರನು ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನು ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾನೆ.
14 Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಆದರೆ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರ ಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಭದ್ರತೆ ಇದೆ.
15 He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: but he that hateth suretiship is sure.
ಅನ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗುವವನು ಹಾನಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಹೊಣೆಗಾರನಾಗಿರದವನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರುವನು.
16 A gracious woman retaineth honour: and violent men retain riches.
ದಯೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ನಿಷ್ಕರುಣ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
ದಯೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ತನಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕಠೋರಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
18 The wicked earneth deceitful wages: but he that soweth righteousness [hath] a sure reward.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ಮೋಸದ ಸಂಬಳವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವವನಿಗೆ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾದ ಬಹುಮಾನವಿರುವುದು.
19 He that is stedfast in righteousness [shall attain] unto life: and he that pursueth evil [doeth it] to his own death.
ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಚಲವಾಗಿರುವವನು ಜೀವ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾನೆ.
20 They that are perverse in heart are an abomination to the LORD: but such as are perfect in [their] way are his delight.
ವಕ್ರ ಹೃದಯವುಳ್ಳವರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವರು, ಆದರೆ, ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಇರುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
21 [Though] hand [join] in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
ದುಷ್ಟನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ತಪ್ಪುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನೀತಿವಂತರ ವಂಶವು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಹೊಂದುವುದು.
22 [As a] jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, [so is] a fair woman which is without discretion.
ಹಂದಿಯ ಮೂಗಿಗೆ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಮೂಗುತಿಯು ಹೇಗೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವಿವೇಕವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಗೆ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವು.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good: [but] the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯು ಶುಭಕ್ಕಾಸ್ಪದ, ದುಷ್ಟರ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಯು ತೀರ್ಪಿಗೀಡು.
24 There is that scattereth, and increaseth yet more; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] only to want.
ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಉದಾರವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಯಮಾಡಿದರೂ ಅವನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಬಡತನಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
ಉದಾರಿಯು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು; ಬೇರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಕೊಡುವವನು ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಹೊಂದುವನು.
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನನ್ನು ಜನರು ಶಪಿಸುವರು; ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾರುವವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.
27 He that diligently seeketh good seeketh favour: but he that searcheth after mischief, it shall come unto him.
ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಹುಡುಕುವವನು ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡೇ ಆಗುವುದು.
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.
ತನ್ನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವವನು ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವನು, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಹಸಿರೆಲೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಚಿಗುರುವರು.
29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವವನು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವನು; ಮೂರ್ಖನು ಜ್ಞಾನನಿಗೆ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರುವನು.
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that is wise winneth souls.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಫಲವು ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷ; ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವವನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: how much more the wicked and the sinner!
ಇಗೋ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಿಕ್ಕಿರುವಾಗ, ದುಷ್ಟರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾರೆ.
