Nahum 1
1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
निनवेको विषयमा भएको घोषणा । एल्कोशी नहूमको दर्शनको पुस्तक ।
2 The LORD is a jealous God and avengeth; the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth [wrath] for his enemies.
परमप्रभु डाही परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ र उहाँले बदला लिनुहुन्छ । परमप्रभुले बदला लिनुहुन्छ र उहाँ क्रोधले भरिनुभएको छ । उहाँले आफ्ना विरोधीहरूसँग बदला लिनुहुन्छ र आफ्ना शत्रुहरूप्रति उहाँको रिस रहिरहन्छ ।
3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means clear [the guilty]: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
परमप्रभु रिसाउनमा ढिला र शक्तिमा महान् हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँले दुष्टलाई दण्डबाट उम्कन दिनुहुन्न । परमप्रभुले भुमरी र आँधीमा आफ्नो मार्ग तयार गर्नुहुन्छ, र बादलहरू उहाँका पाउका धुलो हुन् ।
4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
उहाँले समुद्रलाई हप्काउनुहुन्छ र त्यसलाई सुक्खा बनाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले सबै नदीहरूलाई सुकाइदिनुहुन्छ । बाशान र कर्मेल कमजोर छन् । लेबनानका फूलहरू कमजोर छन् ।
5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
पर्वतहरू उहाँको उपस्थितिमा काँप्छन्, र पहाडहरू पग्लिन्छन् । उहाँको उपस्थितिमा पृथ्वी, सारा संसार र त्यसमा बसोबास गर्ने सबै मानिस नष्ट हुन्छन् ।
6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.
उहाँको क्रोधको अगाडि को खडा हुन सक्छ? उहाँको क्रोधको प्रचण्डता कसले सहन सक्छ? उहाँको क्रोध आगोझैँ खन्याइन्छ, र उहाँद्धारा चट्टानहरू टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारिन्छन् ।
7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that put their trust in him.
परमप्रभु असल हुनुहुन्छ, र कष्टको समयमा उहाँ बलियो गढ हुनुहुन्छ, र उहाँमा शरण लिनेको निम्ति उहाँ विश्वसनीय हुनुहुन्छ ।
8 But with an overrunning flood he will make a full end of the place thereof, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.
तर उहाँले महान् बाढीले आफ्ना शत्रुहरूको अन्त गर्नुहुनेछ, र उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई अन्धकारमा लानुहुनेछ ।
9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make a full end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.
तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको विरुद्ध के षड्यन्त्र गर्दैछौ? उहाँले पूर्णरूपमा त्यो अन्त गर्नुहुनेछ । समस्या दोस्रो पटक आइपर्नेछैन ।
10 For though they be like tangled thorns, told be drenched as it were in their drink, they shall be devoured utterly as dry stubble.
किनभने तिनीहरू काँढाघारीहरूझैँ अल्झिनेछन् । तिनीहरू आफ्नै पेय पदार्थले भरपेट हुनेछन् । तिनीहरू सुकेका ठोसाहरूझैँ आगोद्धारा पूर्ण रूपमा भस्म हुनेछन् ।
11 There is one gone forth out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, that counselleth wickedness.
निनवे, तिमीहरूका बिचमा कोही खडा भयो, जसले परमप्रभुको विरुद्धमा योजना बनायो, र त्यसले दुष्टतालाई बढुवा दियो ।
12 Thus saith the LORD: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
परमप्रभु यस्तो भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिनीहरू आफ्ना पूर्ण शक्ति र पूर्ण सङ्ख्याको अवस्थामा भए तापनि तिनीहरू काटिनेछन्, र तिनीहरूका मानिसहरू बाँकी रहनेछैनन् । तर यहूदा, मैले तँलाई पीडा दिएको भए तापनि अब म तँलाई पीडा दिनेछैनँ ।
13 And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
अब म मानिसहरूका जुवा भाँची तँबाट निकालिदिनेछु, तेरा बन्धनहरूलाई म तोडिदिनेछु ।”
14 And the LORD hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
निनवे, तेरो विषयमा परमप्रभुले एउटा आज्ञा दिनुभएको छ, “अब तेरो नाम बोक्ने कोही वंश बाँकी रहनेछैन । कलात्मक रूपमा हातले बनाइएका र फलाम गालेर बनाइएका मुर्तिहरूलाई तिमीहरूका देवताहरूका घरबाट म हटाइदिनेछु । म तेरो चिहान तयार गर्नेछु, किनकि तँ तुच्छ छस् ।”
15 Behold, upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows: for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
हेर, असल समाचार ल्याउनुहुने, र शान्ति घोषणा गर्नुहुनेका पाउ पर्वतहरूमा छन् । यहूदा, आफ्ना चाडहरू मनाओ, र आफ्ना प्रतिज्ञाहरू पुरा गर, किनकि दुष्टले अब तँलाई आक्रमण गर्नेछैन, त्यो पूर्णरूपमा नाश भएको छ ।
