Nahum 3
1 Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and rapine; the prey departeth not.
Lozan’ ny tanàna mpandatsa-drà! Feno lainga sy fandozana izy; Tsy ialan-dremby ao aminy.
2 The noise of the whip, and the noise of the rattling of wheels; and pransing horses, and jumping chariots;
Injany! ny fifiopioky ny karavasy! Ny fikorodondrodon’ ny kodia! Ny fikatrokatroky ny soavaly! Ary ny fitraitraiky ny kalesy!
3 the horseman mounting, and the flashing sword, and the glittering spear; and a multitude of slain, and a great heap of carcases: and there is none end of the corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
He! ny fampiriotry ny mpitaingin-tsoavaly! Akory ny fanelatselatry ny sabatra Sy ny famirapiratry ny lefona! Indrisy ny habetsahan’ ny voatrabaka sy ny hamaroan’ ny voavono! Tsy hita isa ny faty, Eny, voafingampingan’ ny faty ny olona,
4 because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well favoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
Noho ny habiazan’ ny fijangajangan’ ikala janga tsara tarehy, Tompovavin’ ny fankatovana, Izay mivarotra firenena amin’ ny fijangajangany Sy fokom-pirenena amin’ ny fankatovany.
5 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face; and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
Indro, hamely anao Aho, hoy Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro; Ary haingaiko ho amin’ ny tavanao ny moron-tongotr’ akanjonao, Ka hasehoko amin’ ny firenena ny fitanjahanao Sy amin’ ny fanjakana ny fahamenaranao.
6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.
Dia hotsipazako loto ianao Ka hataoko tsinontsinona, Eny, hataoko fitalanjonana ianao.
7 And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
Arv izay rehetra mijery anao dia handositra anao Ka hanao hoe: Rava Ninive! Iza no hitomany azy? Aiza no hitadiavako izay hampionona anao?
8 Art thou better than No-amon, that was situate among the rivers, that had the waters round about her; whose rampart was the sea, [and] her wall was of the sea?
Tsara noho No-amona va ianao? Ilay nitoetra teo anelanelan’ ny ony Ka nohodidinin’ ny rano; Ny rano be no rovany, Ary ny rano be koa no mandany;
9 Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.
Ny Etiopiana sy ny Egyptiana no heriny, Sady tsy hita lany ireny; Ny Lydiana sy ny Libyana no mpanampy azy.
10 Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
Nefa na izy aza dia lasa, eny, lasan-ko babo; Ny zanany madinika koa notorotoroina teny an-joron-dalambe rehetra eny; Ny olo-malazany nanaovany filokana, Ary ny lehibeny rehetra nogadrana.
11 Thou also shalt be drunken, thou shalt be hid; thou also shalt seek a strong hold because of the enemy.
Hianao koa ho mamo ka hiafina, Hianao koa hitady fiarovana mafy hierenao ny fahavalonao.
12 All thy fortresses shall be [like] fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they fall into the mouth of the eater.
Ny manda mafinao rehetra ho tahaka ny aviavy misy voa mialin-taona: Raha hohozongozonina izy, dia hihintsana ao am-bavan’ izay hihinana aza.
13 Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women; the gates of thy land are set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire hath devoured thy bars.
Indro, vehivavy no olonao ao aminao; Hidiran’ ny fahavalonao no hidananan’ ny vavahadin’ ny taninao; Levon’ ny afo ny hidinao.
14 Draw thee water for the siege, strengthen thy fortresses: go into the clay, and tread the mortar, make strong the brickkiln.
Manangona rano ho anao ho an’ ny fahirano; Hamafio ny mandanao; Mirotsaha amin’ ny fotaka, ka hosihoseo ho feta, Amboary ny lafaoro fandoroam-biriky.
15 There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall devour thee like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locust.
Any no handevonan’ ny afo anao Sy handripahan’ ny sabatra anao; Hohaniny toy ny fihinan’ ny valalavao ianao; Mihamaroa toy ny valalavao, Mihabetsaha toy ny valala.
16 Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and flieth away.
Nataonao betsaka noho ny kintana eny amin’ ny lanitra ny mpandrantonao; Mipariaka ny valalavao ka lasa manidina.
17 Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy marshals as the swarms of grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
Ny andriananao dia toy ny valala, Ary ny mpifehinao dia toy ny valalavao, Izay mitoby eny amin’ ny fefy, raha mangatsiaka ny andro; Fa raha miposaka ny masoandro, dia lasa manidina izy, Ka tsy fantatra izay nalehany.
18 Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy worthies are at rest: thy people are scattered upon the mountains, and there is none to gather them.
Rendrehana ny mpiandrinao, ry mpanjakan’ i Asyria; Miampatrampatra ny lehilahy maherinao; Aely eny an-tendrombohitra ny olonao. Ka tsy misy mamory azy.
19 There is no assuaging of thy hurt; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee clap the hands over thee; for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
Tsy mety mihena ny fangirifirianao, Tsy azo sitranina ny ferinao; Izay rehetra ilazana ny nanjo anao dia hiteha-tanana anao; Fa iza no tsy efa tratry ny fandozanao mandrakariva?
