< Nahum 2 >
1 He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
Ɔtohyɛsoɔni reba wo so, Ninewe bɔ aban no ho ban, wɛn ɛkwan no, bɔ wo ho so na boa wʼahoɔden nyinaa ano!
2 For the LORD bringeth again the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
Awurade de Yakob animuonyam bɛsane ama no te sɛ Israel deɛ no, ɛwom sɛ, asɛefoɔ no ama ada mpan na wɔasɛe ne bobe mfuo.
3 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots flash with steel in the day of his preparation, and the spears are shaken terribly.
Asraafoɔ no akokyɛm yɛ kɔkɔɔ; akofoɔ no hyehyɛ kɔben akotaadeɛ. Nnadeɛ a wɔde yɛɛ nteaseɛnam no twa nyinam nyinam sɛ da a wɔyɛeɛ no; mpea a wapoma wɔ nnua so no rehim.
4 The chariots rage in the streets, they justle one against another in the broad ways: the appearance of them is like torches, they run like the lightnings.
Nteaseɛnam no twi fa mmɔntene so, na wɔdi akɔneaba. Wɔte sɛ ogyatɛn a ɛrederɛ; wɔbɔ yerɛdɛ te sɛ anyinam.
5 He remembereth his worthies: they stumble in their march; they make haste to the wall thereof, and the mantelet is prepared.
Ɔfrɛfrɛɛ nʼakofoɔ a wodi mu nanso wɔsuntisunti wɔ ɛkwan mu. Wɔde mmirika kɔ kuropɔn no afasuo ho; na wɔyɛ wɔn akokyɛm krado.
6 The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.
Wɔbuebue asubɔnten apono no, na ahemfie no dwiri gu fam.
7 And Huzzab is uncovered, she is carried away, and her handmaids mourn as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
Wɔhyɛ mmaraden sɛ wɔmfa kuropɔn no nnommum na wɔmfa wɔn nkɔ. Ne mfenaa de wɔn nsa gu wɔn koko so su te sɛ mmorɔnoma.
8 But Nineveh hath been from of old like a pool of water: yet they flee away; Stand, stand, [they cry]; but none looketh back.
Ninewe te sɛ ɔtadeɛ a emu nsuo resene korɔ. Woteam sɛ, “Monnyina hɔ! Monnyina hɔ!” Nanso, obiara ansane nʼakyi.
9 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store, the glory of all pleasant furniture.
Momfom dwetɛ no! Momfom sikakɔkɔɔ no! Ahonyadeɛ a ɛwɔ akoradan mu nyinaa! Na ahonyadeɛ no dɔɔso.
10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and anguish is in all loins, and the faces of them all are waxed pale.
Wɔabɔ Ninewe korɔno, wɔayɛ no pasaa! Akoma boto, na nkotodwe woso woso, nnipa ho popo na wɔn anim to hoa.
11 Where is the den of the lions, and the feeding place of the young lions, where the lion [and] the lioness walked, the lion’s whelp, and none made them afraid?
Seesei ɛhe na gyatabuo no wɔ, baabi a wɔma wɔn mma aduane no, baabi a gyatanini ne gyatabereɛ korɔ na wɔn mma nso kɔ a wɔnsuro?
12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his caves with prey, and his dens with ravin.
Gyata akum deɛ ɛbɛmee ne mma. Wabobɔ ahaboa ama gyatabereɛ no. Ɔde deɛ wakum ahyɛ ne bɔn ma na ɔde ahaboa ahyɛ nʼatuo mama.
13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
“Me ne wo nnka,” sɛdeɛ Asafo Awurade seɛ ni, “Mɛhye wo nteaseɛnam na adane wisie na akofena bɛkunkum wʼagyata mma. Merennya wo ahaboa biara wɔ asase so. Wɔrente wʼasomafoɔ no nne bio.”
