Matthew 8
1 And when he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
Da Er aber vom Berge herabstieg, folgte Ihm viel Volks nach.
2 And behold, there came to him a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Und siehe, ein Aussätziger kam und betete Ihn an und sprach: Herr, so Du willst, kannst Du mich reinigen.
3 And he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou made clean. And straightway his leprosy was cleansed.
Und Jesus streckte Seine Hand aus, berührte ihn und sprach: Ich will; sei gereinigt! Und alsbald war sein Aussatz gereinigt.
4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Siehe, sage es niemand, sondern gehe hin, zeige dich dem Priester, und bringe die Gabe dar, die Moses verordnet hat, zum Zeugnis für sie.
5 And when he was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Als Jesus aber einging nach Kapernaum, kam zu Ihm ein Hauptmann, flehte Ihn an,
6 and saying, Lord, my servant lieth in the house sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Und sagte: Herr, mein Knabe liegt im Hause gichtbrüchig danieder, schrecklich gequält.
7 And he saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Ich will kommen und ihn heilen.
8 And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but only say the word, and my servant shall be healed.
Und der Hauptmann antwortete und sprach: Herr, ich bin nicht genugsam, daß Du unter mein Dach eingehst; sondern sprich nur ein Wort, so wird mein Knabe gesund.
9 For I also am a man under authority, having under myself soldiers: and I say to this one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch unter Obergewalt, und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir, und wenn ich zu einem sage: ziehe hin! so zieht er hin, und zum andern: komm! so kommt er, und zu meinem Knechte: tue das! so tut er es.
10 And when Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
Da aber Jesus dies hörte, verwunderte Er Sich und sprach zu denen, die Ihm nachfolgten: Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Auch nicht in Israel habe Ich solchen Glauben gefunden.
11 And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven:
Aber Ich sage euch: Viele werden kommen vom Aufgang und vom Niedergang und mit Abraham und Isaak und Jakob sich niederlegen im Reiche der Himmel.
12 but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast forth into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Die Söhne des Reichs aber werden hinausgeworfen in die äußerste Finsternis. Dort wird sein Heulen und Zähneknirschen.
13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; as thou hast believed, [so] be it done unto thee. And the servant was healed in that hour.
Und Jesus sprach zu dem Hauptmann: Gehe hin, und wie du geglaubt hast, soll dir werden. Und der Knabe ward gesund zur selbigen Stunde.
14 And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother lying sick of a fever.
Und als Jesus in des Petrus Haus kam, sah Er seine Schwieger liegen, und sie hatte Fieber.
15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she arose, and ministered unto him.
Und Er berührte ihre Hand, und das Fieber verließ sie, und sie machte sich auf und bediente sie.
16 And when even was come, they brought unto him many possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick:
Als es aber Abend war, brachten sie viele Besessene zu Ihm, und Er trieb die Geister aus mit einem Wort, und Er heilte alle Leidenden;
17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our diseases.
Auf daß erfüllt würde, was durch den Propheten Jesajas gesagt ward, der spricht: Er hat unsere Gebrechen auf Sich genommen und unsere Krankheiten getragen.
18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
Als Jesus aber das viele Gedränge um Sich sah, befahl Er, jenseits hinüber zu fahren.
19 And there came a scribe, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
Und es kam einer, ein Schriftgelehrter, und sprach zu Ihm: Lehrer, ich will Dir nachfolgen, wo Du auch hingehst.
20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
Und Jesus spricht zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Baue, und das Gevögel des Himmels Nester; des Menschen Sohn aber hat nicht, wo Er Sein Haupt hinlege.
21 And another of the disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
Ein anderer von Seinen Jüngern aber sprach zu Ihm: Herr, gestatte mir, daß ich zuerst hingehe und meinen Vater begrabe.
22 But Jesus saith unto him, Follow me; and leave the dead to bury their own dead.
Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Folge du Mir nach und lasse die Toten ihre Toten begraben.
23 And when he was entered into a boat, his disciples followed him.
Und als Er in das Fahrzeug einstieg, folgten Ihm Seine Jünger nach.
24 And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the boat was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
Und siehe, es erhob sich ein großes Ungestüm in dem Meere also, daß das Fahrzeug von den Wellen bedeckt ward. Er aber schlief.
25 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Save, Lord; we perish.
Und die Jünger kamen hinzu, weckten Ihn auf und sagten: Herr, rette uns, wir verderben.
26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
Und Er spricht zu ihnen: Was seid ihr furchtsam, ihr Kleingläubigen? Dann stand Er auf, bedrohte die Winde und das Meer, und es ward eine große Windstille.
27 And the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?
Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sagten: Welcher Art ist Der, daß Ihm Winde und Meer gehorchen?
28 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gadarenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming forth out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man could pass by that way.
Und als Er hinüberkam in die Landschaft der Gardarener, kamen Ihm zwei Besessene entgegen, die aus den Grüften herauskamen, und ungemein unbändig waren, so daß niemand vermochte jenes Weges vorbeizugehen.
29 And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
Und siehe da, sie schrien und sagten: Was haben wir mit Dir, Jesus, Du Sohn Gottes? Bist Du hierher gekommen, uns vor der Zeit zu quälen?
30 Now there was afar off from them a herd of many swine feeding.
Es war aber ferne von ihnen ein Trieb vieler Schweine auf der Weide.
31 And the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, send us away into the herd of swine.
Die Dämonen aber flehten Ihn an und sagten: Wenn Du uns austreibst, so gestatte uns, in den Trieb der Schweine hinzufahren.
32 And he said unto them, Go. And they came out, and went into the swine: and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep into the sea, and perished in the waters.
Und Er sprach zu ihnen: Fahret hin! Da kamen sie heraus und fuhren in den Trieb der Schweine. Und siehe da, der ganze Trieb von Schweinen stürzte sich von der Anhöhe hinab in das Meer und kam um in dem Wasser.
33 And they that fed them fled, and went away into the city, and told everything, and what was befallen to them that were possessed with devils.
Und die sie weideten, flohen und gingen hin in die Stadt und sagten an alles, und auch über die Besessenen.
34 And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought [him] that he would depart from their borders.
Und siehe, da kam die ganze Stadt heraus, Jesus entgegen, und da sie Ihn sahen, flehten sie Ihn an, Er möchte von ihren Grenzen weitergehen.
