Matthew 14
1 At that season Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus,
၁ထို အခါ စော်ဘွား ဟေရုဒ် သည် ယေရှု ၏သိတင်း တော်ကိုကြား လျှင် ၊
2 and said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore do these powers work in him.
၂ဤ သူကားဗတ္တိဇံ ဆရာယောဟန် ဖြစ် သည်။ သေ ခြင်းမှ ထမြောက် လေပြီ။ ထို့ကြောင့် တန်ခိုး များကို ပြ နိုင်သည်ဟု မိမိ ငယ်သား တို့အားဆို ၏။
3 For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife.
၃အထက်က ဟေရုဒ် သည်မိမိ ညီ ဖိလိပ္ပု ၏ခင်ပွန်း ဟေရောဒိ အကြောင်း ကြောင့်၊ ယောဟန် ကိုဘမ်းဆီး ချည်နှောင် ၍ ထောင် ထဲမှာ လှောင် ထား၏။
4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
၄အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ယောဟန် က၊ အရှင် မင်းကြီးသည် ထိုမိန်းမ ကိုမ သိမ်း အပ် ဟု ဟေရုဒ် အားဆို လေပြီ။
5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
၅ယောဟန် ကိုသတ် ခြင်းငှာအလိုရှိ သော်လည်း ၊ လူ အပေါင်းတို့၏မျက်နှာကိုထောက် ၍ မသတ်ဝံ့ဘဲနေ ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် ယောဟန် ကို ပရောဖက် ကဲ့သို့ ထင်မှတ် ကြသတည်း။
6 But when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced in the midst, and pleased Herod.
၆ထိုနောက်မှဟေရုဒ် ကိုဘွား သောနေ့ရက်၌ နှစ်စဉ်ပွဲခံစဉ် တွင်၊ ဟေရောဒိ ၏သမီး သည် ပွဲသဘင်၌ က သဖြင့် ဟေရုဒ် သည် နူးညွတ် သောစိတ်ရှိလျှင် ၊
7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she should ask.
၇ငါသည် သင် တောင်း သမျှ ကို ပေး မည်ဟု ကျိန်ဆို လေ၏။
8 And she, being put forward by her mother, saith, Give me here in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
၈ထိုမိန်းမငယ် သည်သူ ၏အမိ တိုက်တွန်း သည်အတိုင်း ၊ ဗတ္တိဇံ ဆရာယောဟန် ၏ ဦးခေါင်း ကို လင်ပန်း ၌ ပေး တော်မူပါဟု တောင်းလျှောက် ၏။
9 And the king was grieved; but for the sake of his oaths, and of them which sat at meat with him, he commanded it to be given;
၉မင်းကြီး သည် ဝမ်းနည်း သော်လည်း ကျိန်ဆို ခြင်းကို၎င်း ၊ အပေါင်းအဘော် တို့၏မျက်နှာကို၎င်း ထောက် သောကြောင့် ပေး စေဟုအမိန့် တော်ရှိလျက်၊
10 and he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
၁၀လူကို စေလွှတ် ၍ ယောဟန် ၏လည်ပင်း ကို ထောင် ထဲမှာ ဖြတ်စေ၏။11ဦးခေါင်း ကို လင်ပန်း ၌ ဆောင်ခဲ့ ၍ ထိုမိန်းမငယ် အားပေး ပြီးမှ ၊ သူသည်လည်း မိမိ အမိ ထံသို့ယူသွား ၏။
11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.
၁၁ယောဟန် ၏တပည့် တို့သည်လည်း လာ ၍ အလောင်း ကိုဆောင်သွား သဖြင့် သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ပြီးမှ ၊ ယေရှု ထံတော် သို့သွား ၍ ကြားလျှောက် ကြ၏။
12 And his disciples came, and took up the corpse, and buried him; and they went and told Jesus.
၁၂ယေရှု သည် ကြား တော်မူလျှင် ၊ ထို အရပ်မှထွက် ၍လှေ ကိုစီးလျက် တော ၌ ဆိတ်ကွယ်ရာအရပ် သို့ ကြွ တော်မူ၏။ လူ အစုအဝေးတို့သည် ကြားသိ ရလျှင် ၊ မြို့ ရွာမှ ထွက်၍ ကုန်းကြောင်း လိုက် ကြ၏။
13 Now when Jesus heard [it], he withdrew from thence in a boat, to a desert place apart: and when the multitudes heard [thereof], they followed him on foot from the cities.
၁၃ယေရှုသည် ထွက်ကြွ ၍ လူ များ အပေါင်းတို့ကို တွေ့မြင် တော်မူလျှင် ၊ သနား ခြင်းစိတ်တော်ရှိ၍ လူနာ ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ချမ်းသာ ပေးတော်မူ၏။
14 And he came forth, and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
၁၄ညဦးယံ ၌ တပည့် တော်တို့သည်ချဉ်းကပ် ၍၊ ဤအရပ် သည် တော အရပ်ဖြစ် ပါ၏။ မိုး လည်း ချုပ်ပါပြီ။ လူ အစုအဝေးတို့သည် မြို့ရွာ သို့ သွား ၍ စားစရာ ကိုဝယ် စေခြင်းငှာ အခွင့် ပေးတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက် ကြလျှင်၊
15 And when even was come, the disciples came to him, saying, The place is desert, and the time is already past; send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.
၁၅ယေရှု က၊ သွား ရ သောအကြောင်း မ ရှိ။ သူ တို့စားစရာ ဘို့ သင် တို့ပေး ကြလော့ ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
16 But Jesus said unto them, They have no need to go away; give ye them to eat.
၁၆တပည့် တော်တို့ကလည်း ၊ မုန့် ငါး လုံးနှင့် ငါး နှစ် ကောင်မှတစ်ပါး အဘယ်စားစရာမျှ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့၌မ ရှိ ပါ ဟု လျှောက် ပြန်လျှင်၊ ထိုမုန့်နှင့်ငါးကို ယူခဲ့ ကြ ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
၁၇ထိုအခါ လူ အစုအဝေးတို့ကို မြက်ပင် ပေါ်မှာ လျောင်း ကြစေ ဟုအမိန့် တော်ရှိ၏။
18 And he said, Bring them hither to me.
၁၈မုန့် ငါး လုံးနှင့် ငါး နှစ် ကောင်ကိုလည်းယူ ၍ ကောင်းကင် သို့ ကြည့်မြော် လျက်၊ ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ မုန့် နှင့် ငါးကိုဖဲ့ ၍ တပည့် တော်တို့အား ပေး တော်မူ၏။
19 And he commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
၁၉တပည့် တော်တို့သည်လည်းလူ အပေါင်းတို့အား ပေးကြ၏။ လူအပေါင်း တို့သည်စား ၍ ဝ ကြပြီးမှ ကြွင်းရစ် သောအကျိုးအပဲ့ ကို ကောက်သိမ်း ၍ တင်းဆယ့်နှစ် တောင်း အပြည့် ရကြ၏။
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up that which remained over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full.
၂၀စား သောသူ အရေအတွက်ကား၊ မိန်းမ နှင့် သူငယ် တို့ကိုမ ဆိုဘဲ၊ ယောက်ျား ငါးထောင် မျှလောက် ရှိ သတည်း။
21 And they that did eat were about five thousand men, beside women an children.
၂၁ယေရှုသည် စည်းဝေး သောသူ တို့ကိုလွှတ် တော်မူစဉ် တွင်၊ တပည့် တော်တို့ကိုလှေ စီးစေ၍ ကမ်းတစ်ဘက် သို့ အရင် ကူးစေတော်မူ၏။
22 And straightway he constrained the disciples to enter into the boat, and to go before him unto the other side, till he should send the multitudes away.
၂၂စည်းဝေး သောသူတို့ကိုလွှတ် ပြီးမှ ဆုတောင်း ပဌနာပြုအံ့သောငှာတောင် ပေါ်၌ဆိတ်ကွယ် ရာအရပ်သို့ တက်ကြွ သဖြင့်၊ ည အချိန်ရောက် သောအခါ ၊ တစ်ယောက်တည်း ရှိ နေတော်မူ၏။
23 And after he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain apart to pray: and when even was come, he was there alone.
၂၃လှေ မူကား အိုင်အလယ်၌ရှိ၍ လေ မ သင့်သောကြောင့် လှိုင်း တံပိုးလှုပ်ရှား ခြင်းကို ပြင်းစွာရ ၏။
24 But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, distressed by the waves; for the wind was contrary.
၂၄ည သုံးချက်တီး ကျော်အချိန် ၌ ယေရှုသည် အိုင် ပေါ်မှာ စက်တော်ဖြန့် လျက်တပည့် တော်တို့ရှိရာ သို့ ကြွ တော်မူ၏။
25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came unto them, walking upon the sea.
၂၅ထိုသို့အိုင် ပေါ်မှာ စက်တော်ဖြန့်၍ ကြွ တော်မူသည်ကို သူ တို့သည်မြင် လျှင် ထိတ်လန့် ၍၊ ဖုတ် တစ္ဆေဖြစ် သည်ဟု ကြောက် သောစိတ်နှင့် အော်ဟစ် ကြ၏။
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is an apparition; and they cried out for fear.
၂၆ယေရှု သည် ချက်ခြင်း နှုတ်ဆက် ၍ တည်ကြည်သောစိတ် ရှိကြလော့။ ငါ ပင်ဖြစ် သည်။ မ ကြောက်လန့် ကြနှင့် ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
၂၇ပေတရု ကလည်း ၊ သခင် ကိုယ်တော် မှန် လျှင် အကျွန်ုပ် သည်ကိုယ်တော် ထံသို့ ရေ ပေါ်မှာ လာ ရမည်အကြောင်းမိန့် တော်မူပါဟုလျှောက် လျှင်၊
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee upon the waters.
၂၈လာ ခဲ့လော့ ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။ ပေတရု သည်လှေ ပေါ် ကဆင်း ၍ ယေရှု ထံသို့ ရောက် အံ့သောငှာရေ ပေါ်မှာ လှမ်းသွား ၏။
29 And he said, Come. And Peter went down from the boat, and walked upon the waters, to come to Jesus.
၂၉လေ ပြင်း သည်ကိုမြင် လျှင် ကြောက်လန့် ၍ နစ်မွန်း လု သည်ရှိသော်၊ ကယ်မ တော်မူပါသခင် ဟု ဟစ်ကြော် လေ၏။
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.
၃၀ယေရှု သည် လက် တော်ကိုချက်ခြင်း ဆန့် ၍ ပေတရု ကိုကိုင် တော်မူလျက် ၊ ယုံကြည် အားနည်းသောသူ၊ အဘယ်ကြောင့် ယုံမှား သောစိတ်ဝင်သနည်း ဟု မေး တော်မူ၏။
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and took hold of him, and saith unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
၃၁လှေ ပေါ်သို့ ရောက် ကြလျှင် လေ သည်ငြိမ်း လေ၏။
32 And when they were gone up into the boat, the wind ceased.
၃၂လှေ သား တို့သည်ချဉ်းကပ်၍၊ စင်စစ်ကိုယ်တော် သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏သား တော်မှန် ပါသည်ဟု ညွတ်ပြပ် ၍ လျှောက် ကြ၏။
33 And they that were in the boat worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
၃၃ကမ်း တစ်ဘက် သို့ကူး လျှင် ဂင်္နေသရက် နယ်သို့ ရောက် ကြ၏။
34 And when they had crossed over, they came to the land, unto Gennesaret.
၃၄ထို အရပ် သား တို့သည် မျက်နှာတော်ကိုမှတ်မိ လျှင် ၊ ပတ်ဝန်းကျင် အရပ်ရှိသမျှ သို့ စေလွှတ် သဖြင့် လူနာ ရှိသမျှ တို့ကို ဆောင်ခဲ့ ၍ ၊
35 And when the men of that place knew him, they sent into all that region round about, and brought unto him all that were sick;
၃၅အဝတ် တော်၏ပန်းပွား ကိုမျှသာ တို့ ရပါမည်အကြောင်း အခွင့်တောင်း ကြ၏။ တို့ သမျှ သောသူတို့သည်လည်း ချမ်းသာ ရကြ၏။
36 and they besought him that they might only touch the border of his garment: and as many as touched were made whole.
၃၆ထိုအခါ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့သားဖာရိရှဲ တို့နှင့် ကျမ်းပြု ဆရာတို့သည် ချဉ်းကပ် ပြီးလျှင်၊
