Mark 6
1 And he went out from thence; and he cometh into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
౧యేసు అక్కడ నుండి తన శిష్యులతో కలసి తన స్వగ్రామానికి వచ్చాడు
2 And when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, Whence hath this man these things? and, What is the wisdom that is given unto this man, and [what mean] such mighty works wrought by his hands?
౨విశ్రాంతి దినాన సమాజ మందిరంలో ఉపదేశించడం మొదలు పెట్టాడు. చాలామంది ఆయన ఉపదేశం విని ఎంతో ఆశ్చర్యపడ్డారు. “ఈ సంగతులన్నీ ఇతనికెలా తెలుసు? దేవుడు ఇతనికి ఎంతటి జ్ఞానం ఇచ్చాడు! ఇతని చేతుల ద్వారా ఇన్ని మహత్కార్యాలు ఎలా జరుగుతున్నాయి?
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in him.
౩ఇతడు వడ్రంగి కదూ! మరియ కొడుకు కదూ! యాకోబు, యోసే, యూదా, సీమోనులకు ఇతడు అన్న కదూ! ఇతడి చెల్లెళ్ళు అందరూ ఇక్కడ మనతోనే ఉన్నారు కదా!” అని చెప్పుకుంటూ ఆయన విషయంలో చాలా అభ్యంతరపడ్డారు.
4 And Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
౪యేసు వారితో, “ప్రవక్తకు తన సొంత ఊరిలో, సొంత వారి మధ్య, సొంత ఇంట్లో తప్ప అన్ని చోట్లా గౌరవం లభిస్తుంది” అని అన్నాడు.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
౫అక్కడ యేసు కొద్దిమంది రోగుల మీద తన చేతులుంచి వారిని బాగుచేయడం తప్ప ఏ మహత్కార్యాలూ చేయలేకపోయాడు.
6 And he marveled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages teaching.
౬వారి అపనమ్మకానికి ఆయన ఆశ్చర్యపడ్డాడు. ఆ తరువాత యేసు చుట్టుపక్కల గ్రామాలు తిరుగుతూ ఉపదేశం చేశాడు.
7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits;
౭యేసు తన పన్నెండుమంది శిష్యులను దగ్గరికి పిలుచుకుని, వారికి దయ్యాల మీద అధికారమిచ్చి ఇద్దరిద్దరిగా పంపుతూ ఇలా ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చాడు.
8 and he charged them that they should take nothing for [their] journey, save a staff only; no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse;
౮“ప్రయాణం కోసం చేతికర్ర తప్ప ఇంకేదీ తీసుకు వెళ్ళకండి. ఆహారం గాని, చేతి సంచిగాని, నడికట్టులో డబ్బుగాని, తీసుకు వెళ్ళకండి.
9 but [to go] shod with sandals: and, [said he], put not on two coats.
౯చెప్పులు వేసుకోండి గాని, మారు దుస్తులు తీసుకు వెళ్ళకండి.
10 And he said unto them, Wheresoever ye enter into a house, there abide till ye depart thence.
౧౦ఒకరి ఇంటికి వెళ్ళాక ఆ గ్రామం విడిచే వరకూ ఆ ఇంట్లోనే ఉండండి.
11 And whatsoever place shall not receive you, and they hear you not, as ye go forth thence, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony unto them.
౧౧ఏ గ్రామం వారైనా మిమ్మల్ని స్వీకరించకపోతే, మీ మాటలు వినకపోతే, మీరు ఆ గ్రామం వదిలే ముందు వారి వ్యతిరేక సాక్షంగా మీ పాద ధూళిని దులిపి వేయండి.”
12 And they went out, and preached that [men] should repent.
౧౨శిష్యులు వెళ్ళి ‘పశ్చాత్తాప పడండి’ అంటూ ప్రకటించారు.
13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
౧౩ఎన్నో దయ్యాలను వదిలించారు. శిష్యులు అనేకమంది రోగులను నూనె రాసి బాగుచేశారు.
14 And king Herod heard [thereof]; for his name had become known: and he said, John the Baptist is risen from the dead, and therefore do these powers work in him.
౧౪యేసు పేరు ప్రసిద్ధి కావడం వల్ల ఆ సంగతి హేరోదు రాజుకు తెలిసింది. బాప్తిసం ఇచ్చే యోహాను బతికి వచ్చాడని, అందుకే యేసులో మహత్కార్యాలు చేసే శక్తి ఉన్నదని కొందరు అన్నారు.
15 But others said, It is Elijah. And others said, [It is] a prophet, [even] as one of the prophets.
౧౫ఇతరులు, “ఈయన ఏలీయా” అన్నారు. ఇంకొందరు, “పూర్వకాలపు ప్రవక్తల వంటి ప్రవక్త” అన్నారు.
16 But Herod, when he heard [thereof], said, John, whom I beheaded, he is risen.
౧౬కాని, హేరోదైతే, “నేను తల నరికించిన యోహాను మళ్ళీ బతికి వచ్చాడు” అన్నాడు.
17 For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife: for he had married her.
౧౭ఇంతకు ముందు హేరోదు స్వయంగా యోహానును బంధించి, ఖైదులో వేయించాడు. తాను వివాహం చేసుకున్న హేరోదియ కారణంగా అతడు ఈ పని చేయవలసి వచ్చింది. ఈమె హేరోదు సోదరుడైన ఫిలిప్పు భార్య.
18 For John said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.
౧౮ఎందుకంటే యోహాను హేరోదుతో, “నీ సోదరుని భార్యను తెచ్చుకోవడం అన్యాయం” అని హెచ్చరించాడు.
19 And Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him; and she could not;
౧౯అందుచేత హేరోదియ యోహాను మీద పగపట్టి, అతణ్ణి చంపాలని ఆశించింది కానీ అలా చెయ్యలేకపోయింది.
20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous man and a holy, and kept him safe. And when he heard him, he was much perplexed; and he heard him gladly.
౨౦ఎందుకంటే హేరోదు యోహానుకు భయపడేవాడు. యోహాను నీతిమంతుడు, పవిత్రమైనవాడు అని హేరోదుకు తెలుసు కనుక అతణ్ణి కాపాడుతూ వచ్చాడు. హేరోదు యోహాను మాటలు విన్నప్పుడు ఎంతో కలవర పడేవాడు. అయినా అతని మాటలు వినడానికి ఇష్టపడేవాడు.
21 And when a convenient day was come, that Herod on his birthday made a supper to his lords, and the high captains, and the chief men of Galilee;
౨౧ఒక రోజు హేరోదియకు అవకాశం దొరికింది. హేరోదు తన రాజ్యంలోని అధికారులను, సైన్యాధిపతులను, గలిలయలోని గొప్పవారిని పిలిచి తన పుట్టిన రోజు విందు చేశాడు.
22 and when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and them that sat at meat with him; and the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.
౨౨హేరోదియ కూతురు వచ్చి నాట్యం చేసి, హేరోదును అతని అతిధులను మెప్పించింది. అప్పుడు హేరోదు ఆమెతో, “నీకు ఏది ఇష్టమో అది అడుగు, ఇస్తాను!” అని అన్నాడు.
23 And he sware unto her, Whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto the half of my kingdom.
౨౩“నువ్వు ఏది అడిగినా ఇస్తాను, నా రాజ్యంలో సగమైనా సరే!” అని ప్రమాణం చేశాడు.
24 And she went out, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.
౨౪ఆమె బయటకి వెళ్ళి తన తల్లితో, “నన్నేమి కోరుకోమంటావు?” అని అడిగింది. ఆమె, “బాప్తిసం ఇచ్చే యోహాను తల కోరుకో” అని చెప్పింది.
25 And she came in straightway with haste unto the king, and asked, saying, I will that thou forthwith give me in a charger the head of John the Baptist.
౨౫వెంటనే ఆమె రాజు దగ్గరికి త్వరగా వెళ్ళి, “బాప్తిసం ఇచ్చే యోహాను తలను పళ్ళెంలో పెట్టి ఇప్పుడే నాకు ఇప్పించండి, నాకు కావలసింది అదే” అని అడిగింది.
26 And the king was exceeding sorry; but for the sake of his oaths, and of them that sat at meat, he would not reject her.
౨౬రాజుకు చాలా దుఃఖం కలిగింది గాని, తాను చేసిన ప్రమాణం కారణంగా తనతో కూర్చుని ఉన్నవారిని బట్టి ఆమె కోరికను తోసిపుచ్చలేక పోయాడు.
27 And straightway the king sent forth a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring his head: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
౨౭అందువల్ల అతడు వెంటనే యోహాను తల తీసుకు రమ్మని ఆజ్ఞాపించి భటుణ్ణి పంపాడు. ఆ భటుడు వెళ్ళి ఖైదులోనే యోహాను తల నరికి
28 and brought his head in a charger, and gave it to the damsel; and the damsel gave it to her mother.
౨౮దాన్ని ఒక పళ్ళెంలో పెట్టి, తీసుకు వచ్చి ఆమెకు కానుకగా ఇచ్చాడు. ఆమె దాన్ని తన తల్లికి ఇచ్చింది.
29 And when his disciples heard [thereof], they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
౨౯యోహాను శిష్యులు ఈ సంగతి విని వచ్చి అతని శవాన్ని తీసుకుపోయి సమాధి చేశారు.
30 And the apostles gather themselves together unto Jesus; and they told him all things, whatsoever they had done, and whatsoever they had taught.
౩౦అపొస్తలులు యేసు దగ్గరికి తిరిగి వచ్చి తాము చేసిన వాటి గురించీ బోధించిన వాటి గురించీ వివరంగా ఆయనకు చెప్పారు.
31 And he saith unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while. For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
౩౧వారి దగ్గరికి అనేకమంది వస్తూ పోతూ ఉండడం వల్ల వారికి భోజనం తినడానికి కూడా సమయం లేకపోయింది. యేసు వారితో, “నాతో మీరు మాత్రమే ఒక నిర్జన ప్రదేశానికి వచ్చి, కొంత విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోండి” అని అన్నాడు.
32 And they went away in the boat to a desert place apart.
౩౨అందువల్ల వారు మాత్రమే పడవలో ఏకాంతంగా నిర్జన ప్రదేశానికి వెళ్ళారు.
33 And [the people] saw them going, and many knew [them], and they ran there together on foot from all the cities, and outwent them.
౩౩అయితే వారు వెళ్తూ ఉండగా జనసమూహాలు ఆయనను గుర్తుపట్టి వివిధ గ్రామాల నుంచి పరిగెత్తుకుంటూ వెళ్ళి వారికన్నా ముందే ఆ నిర్జన ప్రదేశానికి చేరుకున్నారు.
34 And he came forth and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
౩౪పడవలో యేసు అక్కడికి చేరినప్పుడు పెద్ద జనసమూహం ఆయనకు కనిపించింది. కాపరి లేని గొర్రెల్లా ఉన్న ఆ ప్రజలను చూసి ఆయనకు జాలి కలిగింది. అందుచేత ఆయన వారికి అనేక విషయాలు ఉపదేశించ సాగాడు.
35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, The place is desert, and the day is now far spent:
౩౫చాలా పొద్దుపోయిన తరువాత ఆయన శిష్యులు ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చి, “ఇది నిర్జన ప్రదేశం, ఇప్పటికే పొద్దుపోయింది.
36 send them away, that they may go into the country and villages round about, and buy themselves somewhat to eat.
౩౬ఈ ప్రజలకు తినడానికి ఏమీ లేదు కాబట్టి వారు చుట్టూ ఉన్న పల్లెలకో గ్రామాలకో వెళ్ళి ఏదైనా కొనుక్కోడానికి వారిని పంపివెయ్యి” అన్నారు.
37 But he answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
౩౭అయితే యేసు వారితో, “మీరే వారికి ఆహారం పెట్టండి!” అన్నాడు. అందుకు వారు ఆయనతో, “రెండు వందల దేనారాలకు రొట్టెలు కొని, వారికి పంచి పెట్టమంటావా” అని ఆయనను అడిగారు.
38 And he saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go [and] see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
౩౮ఆయన వారితో “మీ దగ్గర ఎన్ని రొట్టెలు ఉన్నాయో చూడండి” అన్నాడు. వారు వెళ్ళి చూసి, “ఐదు రొట్టెలు, రెండు చిన్న చేపలు ఉన్నాయి” అని అన్నారు.
39 And he commanded them that all should sit down by companies upon the green grass.
౩౯అప్పుడాయన అందరినీ గుంపులు గుంపులుగా పచ్చగడ్డి మీద కూర్చోబెట్టమని శిష్యులతో చెప్పాడు.
40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
౪౦ప్రజలు గుంపుకు యాభైమంది, వందమంది చొప్పున కూర్చున్నారు.
41 And he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake the loaves; and he gave to the disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
౪౧యేసు ఆ ఐదు రొట్టెలు, రెండు చేపలు చేతపట్టుకుని ఆకాశం వైపు చూసి, దేవునికి కృతజ్ఞత చెప్పి రొట్టెలు విరిచి, జనసమూహానికి వడ్డించడానికి శిష్యులకు అందించాడు. అదే విధంగా ఆ రెండు చేపలను కూడా భాగాలు చేసి అందరికీ పంచాడు.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
౪౨అందరూ తిని సంతృప్తి చెందారు.
43 And they took up broken pieces, twelve basketfuls, and also of the fishes.
౪౩శిష్యులు మిగిలిన రొట్టె ముక్కలను, చేప ముక్కలను పన్నెండు గంపల నిండా నింపారు.
44 And they that ate the loaves were five thousand men.
౪౪ఆ రోజు అక్కడ రొట్టెలు తిన్న పురుషులు ఐదు వేల మంది.
45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to enter into the boat, and to go before [him] unto the other side to Bethsaida, while he himself sendeth the multitude away.
౪౫ఆ తరువాత యేసు తన శిష్యులను తనకన్నా ముందు బేత్సయిదాకు వెళ్ళమని చెప్పి వారిని పడవ ఎక్కించాడు.
46 And after he had taken leave of them, he departed into the mountain to pray.
౪౬జనసమూహాన్ని పంపివేసిన తరువాత ఆయన ప్రార్థించడానికి కొండకు వెళ్ళాడు.
47 And when even was come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
౪౭చీకటి పడుతూ ఉన్న సమయంలో శిష్యులు ఉన్న పడవ సముద్రం మధ్యలో ఉంది. యేసు మాత్రమే ఒడ్డున ఉన్నాడు.
48 And seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary unto them, about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them:
౪౮ఎదురుగాలి వీస్తూ ఉండడం వల్ల శిష్యులు చాలా కష్టంగా పడవ నడపడం చూసి యేసు తెల్లవారుజామున సరస్సు మీద నడుస్తూ వారి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళాడు. ఆయన వారిని దాటి వెళ్ళబోతూ ఉండగా,
49 but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was an apparition, and cried out:
౪౯ఆయన శిష్యులు ఆయన నీళ్ళ మీద నడవడం చూసి, దయ్యం అనుకుని భయపడి బిగ్గరగా కేకలు వేశారు.
50 for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he straightway spake with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
౫౦వెంటనే యేసు వారితో, “ధైర్యంగా ఉండండి. నేనే! భయపడకండి!” అని అన్నాడు.
51 And he went up unto them into the boat; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves;
౫౧ఆయన వారి దగ్గరికి వచ్చి, పడవ ఎక్కగానే గాలి ఆగింది. వారు తమలో తాము ఆశ్చర్యపడుతూ అమితంగా విభ్రాంతి చెందారు.
52 for they understood not concerning the loaves, but their heart was hardened.
౫౨ఎందుకంటే రొట్టెలు పంచిన అద్భుతాన్ని వారు చూశారు కాని, వారి హృదయం బండబారి పోయింది కాబట్టి రొట్టెలను గురించిన సంగతి వారు గ్రహించలేదు.
53 And when they had crossed over, they came to the land unto Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.
౫౩వారు అవతలి ఒడ్డుకు వెళ్ళి గెన్నేసరెతు ప్రాంతానికి చేరి అక్కడ పడవ నిలిపారు.
54 And when they were come out of the boat, straightway [the people] knew him,
౫౪వారు పడవ దిగిన వెంటనే ప్రజలు యేసును గుర్తుపట్టారు.
55 and ran round about that whole region, and began to carry about on their beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
౫౫ప్రజలు చుట్టు పక్కల ఉన్న ప్రాంతాలకు పరుగెత్తుకుంటూ వెళ్ళి రోగులను మంచాల మీద ఉంచి ఆయన ఉన్న చోటికి తీసుకు వచ్చారు.
56 And wheresoever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.
౫౬యేసు ఏ గ్రామంలో, ఏ పట్టణంలో ఏ పల్లెలో ప్రవేశించినా వారు రోగులను వీధుల్లో పడుకోబెట్టి, ఆయన వస్త్రాన్నయినా తాకనియ్యమని ఆయనను బతిమాలారు. ఆయనను తాకిన వారంతా బాగుపడ్డారు.
