Mark 16
1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the [mother] of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.
বিশ্রামদিন অতিক্রান্ত হলে, মাগ্দালাবাসী মরিয়ম, যাকোবের মা মরিয়ম ও শালোমি কিছু সুগন্ধিদ্রব্য কিনে নিয়ে এলেন, যেন যীশুর দেহে তা লেপন করতে পারেন।
2 And very early on the first day of the week, they come to the tomb when the sun was risen.
সপ্তাহের প্রথম দিন, খুব ভোরবেলায়, সূর্যোদয়ের অব্যবহিত পরেই তাঁরা সমাধির কাছে এলেন।
3 And they were saying among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the tomb?
তাঁরা পরস্পরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “সমাধির প্রবেশমুখ থেকে কে পাথরখানা সরাবে?”
4 and looking up, they see that the stone is rolled back: for it was exceeding great.
কিন্তু তাঁরা যখন চোখ তুলে তাকালেন, তাঁরা দেখলেন যে, অতি বিশাল সেই পাথরটিকে সরানো হয়েছে।
5 And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, arrayed in a white robe; and they were amazed.
সমাধির মধ্যে প্রবেশ করা মাত্র, তাঁরা দেখলেন, সাদা পোশাক পরে এক যুবক ডানদিকে বসে আছেন। এতে তাঁরা অত্যন্ত বিস্মিত হলেন।
6 And he saith unto them, Be not amazed: ye seek Jesus, the Nazarene, which hath been crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold, the place where they laid him!
তিনি বললেন, “তোমরা ভয় পেয়ো না। তোমরা তো নাসরতীয় যীশুর অন্বেষণ করছ, যিনি ক্রুশার্পিত হয়েছিলেন। তিনি উত্থিত হয়েছেন! তিনি এখানে নেই। এই দেখো সেই স্থান, যেখানে তাঁর দেহ রাখা হয়েছিল।
7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, He goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
কিন্তু তোমরা যাও, গিয়ে তাঁর শিষ্যদের ও পিতরকেও বলো, ‘তিনি তোমাদের আগেই গালীলে যাচ্ছেন। সেখানে তোমরা তাঁর দর্শন পাবে, যেমন তিনি তোমাদের বলেছিলেন।’”
8 And they went out, and fled from the tomb; for trembling and astonishment had come upon them: and they said nothing to any one; for they were afraid.
ভীতকম্পিত ও কিংকর্তব্যবিমূঢ় হয়ে সেই মহিলারা বাইরে গিয়ে সেই সমাধিস্থল থেকে পালিয়ে গেলেন। তাঁরা ভয় পেয়েছিলেন বলে কাউকেই তাঁরা কিছু বললেন না।
9 (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Now when he was risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven devils.
(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) সপ্তাহের প্রথম দিনে ভোরবেলায় যীশু উত্থিত হয়ে প্রথমে মাগ্দালাবাসী মরিয়মকে দর্শন দেন, যার মধ্য থেকে তিনি সাতটি ভূত দূর করেছিলেন।
10 She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
তিনি গিয়ে যারা যীশুর সঙ্গে ছিলেন ও কান্নাকাটি এবং বিলাপ করছিলেন, তাঁদের কাছে সেই সংবাদ দিলেন।
11 And they, when they heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, disbelieved.
তাঁরা যখন শুনলেন যে, যীশু জীবিত আছেন ও মরিয়ম তাঁকে দর্শন করেছেন, তাঁরা সেকথা বিশ্বাস করলেন না।
12 And after these things he was manifested in another form unto two of them, as they walked, on their way into the country.
এরপর যীশু ভিন্ন রূপে অপর দুজন শিষ্যকে দর্শন দিলেন। তাঁরা পায়ে হেঁটে একটি গ্রামের উদ্দেশে যাচ্ছিলেন।
13 And they went away and told it unto the rest: neither believed they them.
তাঁরাও ফিরে এসে অন্য সবার কাছে সেকথা বললেন, কিন্তু তাঁরা তাদের কথাও বিশ্বাস করলেন না।
14 And afterward he was manifested unto the eleven themselves as they sat at meat; and he upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
পরে এগারোজন শিষ্য যখন আহার করছিলেন, যীশু তাঁদের কাছে আবির্ভূত হলেন, তাঁদের বিশ্বাসের অভাব দেখে ও পুনরুত্থানের পরে যারা তাঁকে দেখেছিলেন, তাদের কথা কিছুতেই বিশ্বাস করতে রাজি না-হওয়াতে তিনি তাদের তিরস্কার করলেন।
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, “তোমরা সমস্ত জগতে যাও ও সমস্ত সৃষ্টির কাছে সুসমাচার প্রচার করো।
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned.
যে বিশ্বাস করে ও বাপ্তাইজিত হয়, সে পরিত্রাণ পাবে, কিন্তু যে বিশ্বাস করে না, তার শাস্তি হবে।
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
আর যারা বিশ্বাস করে, এই চিহ্নগুলি তাদের মধ্যে দেখতে পাওয়া যাবে: তারা আমার নামে ভূত তাড়াবে, তারা নতুন নতুন ভাষায় কথা বলবে,
18 they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
তারা হাতে করে সাপ তুলে ধরবে, আর তারা প্রাণনাশক বিষ পান করলেও তাদের কোনো ক্ষতি হবে না; তারা পীড়িত ব্যক্তিদের উপরে হাত রেখে প্রার্থনা করবে, আর তারা সুস্থ হবে।”
19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken unto them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
তাদের সঙ্গে প্রভু যীশুর কথা বলা শেষ হওয়ার পর, তাঁকে স্বর্গে তুলে নেওয়া হল, আর তিনি ঈশ্বরের ডানদিকে গিয়ে উপবিষ্ট হলেন।
20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.
তারপর শিষ্যেরা বেরিয়ে পড়ে সর্বত্র সুসমাচার প্রচার করতে লাগলেন। আর প্রভু তাঁদের সঙ্গী হয়ে কাজ করতে লাগলেন এবং সেই সঙ্গে বহু চিহ্নকর্মের মাধ্যমে তাঁর বাক্যের সত্যতা সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত করলেন।
