Mark 10
1 And he arose from thence, and cometh into the borders of Judaea and beyond Jordan: and multitudes come together unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
मसीह येशु वहां से निकलकर यहूदिया के उस क्षेत्र में चले गए, जो यरदन नदी के पार था. भीड़ फिर से उनके चारों ओर इकट्ठी हो गई. अपनी रीति के अनुसार मसीह येशु ने एक बार फिर उन्हें शिक्षा देना प्रारंभ किया.
2 And there came unto him Pharisees, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away [his] wife? tempting him.
उन्हें परखने के उद्देश्य से कुछ फ़रीसी उनके पास आ गए. उन्होंने मसीह येशु से प्रश्न किया, “क्या पुरुष के लिए पत्नी से तलाक लेना व्यवस्था के अनुसार है?”
3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?
मसीह येशु ने ही उनसे प्रश्न किया, “तुम्हारे लिए मोशेह का आदेश क्या है?”
4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
फ़रीसियों ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “मोशेह ने तलाक पत्र लिखकर पत्नी का त्याग करने की अनुमति दी है.”
5 But Jesus said unto them, For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.
मसीह येशु ने उन्हें समझाया, “तुम्हारे कठोर हृदय के कारण मोशेह ने तुम्हारे लिए यह आज्ञा रखी.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, Male and female made he them.
किंतु वास्तव में सृष्टि के प्रारंभ ही से परमेश्वर ने उन्हें नर और नारी बनाया.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife;
इस कारण पुरुष अपने माता-पिता को छोड़कर अपनी पत्नी से मिला रहेगा तथा वे दोनों एक देह होंगे.
8 and the twain shall become one flesh: so that they are no more twain, but one flesh.
वे दोनों एक शरीर हो जाएंगे; परिणामस्वरूप अब वे दोनों दो नहीं परंतु एक शरीर हैं.
9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
इसलिये जिन्हें स्वयं परमेश्वर ने जोड़ा है, उन्हें कोई मनुष्य अलग न करे.”
10 And in the house the disciples asked him again of this matter.
जब वे अपने घर लौट आए, शिष्यों ने मसीह येशु से इसके विषय में जानना चाहा.
11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her:
मसीह येशु ने उन्हें समझाया, “यदि कोई अपनी पत्नी से तलाक लेकर अन्य स्त्री से विवाह करता है, वह उस अन्य स्त्री के साथ व्यभिचार करता है.
12 and if she herself shall put away her husband, and marry another, she committeth adultery.
यदि स्वयं स्त्री अपने पति से तलाक लेकर अन्य पुरुष से विवाह कर लेती है, वह भी व्यभिचार करती है.”
13 And they brought unto him little children, that he should touch them: and the disciples rebuked them.
मसीह येशु को छू लेने के उद्देश्य से लोग बालकों को उनके पास ला रहे थे. इस पर शिष्य उन्हें डांटने लगे.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
यह देख मसीह येशु ने अप्रसन्न होते हुए उनसे कहा, “बालकों को यहां आने दो, उन्हें मेरे पास आने से मत रोको क्योंकि परमेश्वर का राज्य ऐसों का ही है.
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein.
मैं तुम पर एक अटल सच्चाई प्रकट कर रहा हूं; जो परमेश्वर के राज्य को एक नन्हे बालक के भाव में ग्रहण नहीं करता, उसमें कभी प्रवेश न कर पाएगा.”
16 And he took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.
तब मसीह येशु ने बालकों को अपनी गोद में लिया और उन पर हाथ रख उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया.
17 And as he was going forth into the way, there ran one to him, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
मसीह येशु अपनी यात्रा प्रारंभ कर ही रहे थे कि एक व्यक्ति उनके पास दौड़ता हुआ आया और उनके सामने घुटने टेकते हुए उनसे पूछने लगा, “उत्तम गुरु, अनंत काल का जीवन प्राप्त करने के लिए मैं क्या करूं?” (aiōnios g166)
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good save one, [even] God.
मसीह येशु ने उससे कहा, “उत्तम मुझे क्यों कह रहे हो? परमेश्वर के अलावा उत्तम कोई भी नहीं है.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not kill, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.
आज्ञा तो तुम्हें मालूम ही हैं: हत्या न करो, व्यभिचार न करो, चोरी न करो, झूठी गवाही न दो, छल न करो, माता-पिता का सम्मान करो.”
20 And he said unto him, Master, all these things have I observed from my youth.
उसने उत्तर दिया, “गुरुवर, मैं बाल्यावस्था से इनका पालन करता आया हूं.”
21 And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
युवक को एकटक देखते हुए मसीह येशु का हृदय उस युवक के प्रति स्नेह से भर गया. उन्होंने उससे कहा, “एक ही कमी है तुममें: जाओ, अपनी सारी संपत्ति बेचकर प्राप्त राशि गरीबों में बांट दो. धन तुम्हें स्वर्ग में प्राप्त होगा. लौटकर आओ और मेरा अनुगमन करो.”
22 But his countenance fell at the saying, and he went away sorrowful: for he was one that had great possessions.
ये शब्द सुनते ही उसका मुंह लटक गया. वह शोकित हृदय से लौट गया क्योंकि वह बड़ी संपत्ति का स्वामी था.
23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
मसीह येशु ने अपने आस-पास इकट्ठा शिष्यों से कहा, “परमेश्वर के राज्य में धनवानों का प्रवेश कितना कठिन होगा!”
24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
मसीह येशु के इन विचारों से शिष्य चकित रह गए. एक बार फिर मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “अज्ञानियो! कितना कठिन होगा! परमेश्वर के राज्य में प्रवेश!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
परमेश्वर के राज्य में किसी धनवान के प्रवेश की अपेक्षा ऊंट का सुई के छेद में से पार हो जाना सरल है.”
26 And they were astonished exceedingly, saying unto him, Then who can be saved?
यह सुन शिष्य और भी अधिक चकित हो गए और मसीह येशु से पूछने लगे, “तब उद्धार किसका हो सकेगा?”
27 Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.
उनकी ओर देखते हुए मसीह येशु ने कहा, “मनुष्यों के लिए तो यह असंभव है किंतु परमेश्वर के लिए नहीं—परमेश्वर के लिए सभी कुछ संभव है.”
28 Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.
पेतरॉस मसीह येशु से बोले, “हम तो अपना सब कुछ त्याग कर आपके पीछे हो लिए हैं.”
29 Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel’s sake,
मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “मैं तुम पर एक अटल सच प्रकट कर रहा हूं: ऐसा कोई भी नहीं, जिसने मेरे तथा सुसमाचार के हित में अपने परिवार, भाई-बहन, माता-पिता, संतान या संपत्ति का त्याग किया हो,
31 But many [that are] first shall be last; and the last first.
किंतु अनेक, जो पहले हैं अंतिम होंगे तथा जो अंतिम हैं वे पहले.”
32 And they were in the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going before them: and they were amazed; and they that followed were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were to happen unto him,
येरूशलेम नगर की ओर जाते हुए मसीह येशु उन सबके आगे-आगे चल रहे थे. शिष्य चकित थे तथा पीछे चलनेवाले अन्य लोग डरे हुए थे. बारहों को अलग ले जाकर मसीह येशु ने उन्हें बताना प्रारंभ किया कि स्वयं उनके साथ क्या-क्या होना ज़रूरी है.
33 [saying], Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles:
“हम येरूशलेम नगर को जा रहे हैं, वहां मनुष्य के पुत्र को प्रधान पुरोहितों तथा शास्त्रियों के हाथों में सौंप दिया जाएगा. वे उस पर मृत्यु दंड की आज्ञा प्रसारित करेंगे तथा उसे गैर-यहूदियों को सौंप देंगे.
34 and they shall mock him, and shall spit upon him, and shall scourge him, and shall kill him; and after three days he shall rise again.
वे सब उसका ठट्ठा उड़ाएंगे, उस पर थूकेंगे, कोड़े लगाएंगे, और उसकी हत्या कर देंगे तथा तीन दिन बाद वह मरे हुओं में से फिर जीवित हो जाएगा.”
35 And there come near unto him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying unto him, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall ask of thee.
ज़ेबेदियॉस के दोनों पुत्र, याकोब तथा योहन, मसीह येशु के पास आकर विनती कर कहने लगे, “गुरुवर, हमारी इच्छा है कि हम आपसे जो भी विनती करें, आप उसे हमारे लिए पूरी कर दें.”
36 And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?
मसीह येशु ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या चाहते हो?”
37 And they said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on [thy] left hand, in thy glory.
“हमारी इच्छा है कि आपकी महिमा के समय में हम आपकी दायीं तथा बायीं ओर में बैठें,” उन्होंने विनती की.
38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I drink? or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
तब मसीह येशु ने उत्तर दिया, “तुम्हें तो यह मालूम ही नहीं कि तुम क्या मांग रहे हो. क्या तुममें वह प्याला पी सकते हो जिसे मैं पीने पर हूं, या तुम उस बपतिस्मा ले सकते हो, जो मैं लेनेवाला हूं?”
39 And they said unto him, We are able. And Jesus said unto them, The cup that I drink ye shall drink; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:
उन्होंने उत्तर दिया, “अवश्य.” मसीह येशु ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “वह प्याला, जो मैं पिऊंगा, तुम भी पिओगे तथा तुम्हें वही बपतिस्मा दिया जाएगा, जो मुझे दिया जाएगा.
40 but to sit on my right hand or on [my] left hand is not mine to give: but [it is for them] for whom it hath been prepared.
किंतु किसी को अपने दायें या बायें पक्ष में बैठाना मेरा अधिकार नहीं है. ये स्थान उन्हीं के लिए सुरक्षित हैं, जिन्हें इनके लिए तैयार किया गया है.”
41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be moved with indignation concerning James and John.
यह सुन शेष दस शिष्य याकोब और योहन पर नाराज़ हो गए.
42 And Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great ones exercise authority over them.
उन सबको अपने पास बुलाकर मसीह येशु ने उनसे कहा, “वे, जो इस संसार में शासक हैं, अपने लोगों पर प्रभुता करते हैं तथा उनके बड़े अधिकारी उन पर अपना अधिकार दिखाया करते हैं,
43 But it is not so among you: but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister:
किंतु तुम्हारे विषय में ऐसा नहीं है. तुममें जो बड़ा बनने का इच्छुक है, उसको तुम्हारा सेवक हो जाना ज़रूरी है.
44 and whosoever would be first among you, shall be servant of all.
तुममें जो कोई श्रेष्ठ होना चाहता है, वह सबका दास हो.
45 For verily the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
क्योंकि मनुष्य का पुत्र यहां इसलिये नहीं आया कि अपनी सेवा करवाए, परंतु इसलिये कि सेवा करे और अनेकों की छुड़ौती के लिए अपना जीवन बलिदान कर दे.”
46 And they come to Jericho: and as he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the way side.
इसके बाद मसीह येशु येरीख़ो नगर आए. जब वह अपने शिष्यों तथा एक विशाल भीड़ के साथ येरीख़ो नगर से निकलकर जा रहे थे, उन्हें मार्ग के किनारे बैठा हुआ एक अंधा व्यक्ति, तिमाऊ का पुत्र बारतिमाऊ, भीख मांगता हुआ मिला.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.
जब उसे यह मालूम हुआ कि वह यात्री नाज़रेथवासी मसीह येशु हैं, वह पुकारने लगा, “दावीद-पुत्र, येशु! मुझ पर कृपा कीजिए!”
48 And many rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
उनमें से अनेक उसे पुकारने से रोकने की भरपूर कोशिश करने लगे, किंतु वह और भी अधिक पुकारता गया, “दावीद की संतान, येशु! मुझ पर कृपा कीजिए!”
49 And Jesus stood still, and said, Call ye him. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good cheer: rise, he calleth thee.
मसीह येशु ने रुक कर आज्ञा दी, “उसे यहां लाओ!” तब उन्होंने उस अंधे व्यक्ति के पास जाकर उससे कहा, “उठो, आनंद मनाओ! प्रभु तुम्हें बुला रहे हैं.”
50 And he, casting away his garment, sprang up, and came to Jesus.
अंधा व्यक्ति बाहरी वस्त्र फेंक, उछलकर खड़ा हो गया तथा मसीह येशु के पास आ गया.
51 And Jesus answered him, and said, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And the blind man said unto him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.
मसीह येशु ने उससे पूछा, “क्या चाहते हो मुझसे?” “अपनी आंखों की रोशनी दुबारा पाना चाहता हूं, रब्बी!” अंधे ने उत्तर दिया.
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And straightway he received his sight, and followed him in the way.
मसीह येशु ने उसे आज्ञा दी, “जाओ, यह तुम्हारा विश्वास है, जिसके द्वारा तुम स्वस्थ हो गए हो.” उसी क्षण उस व्यक्ति की आंखों की रोशनी लौट आई और वह उनके पीछे चलने लगा.
