Luke 7
1 After he had ended all his sayings in the ears of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
தத: பரம்’ ஸ லோகாநாம்’ கர்ணகோ³சரே தாந் ஸர்வ்வாந் உபதே³ஸா²ந் ஸமாப்ய யதா³ கப²ர்நாஹூம்புரம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²தி
2 And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick and at the point of death.
ததா³ ஸ²தஸேநாபதே: ப்ரியதா³ஸ ஏகோ ம்ரு’தகல்ப: பீடி³த ஆஸீத்|
3 And when he heard concerning Jesus, he sent unto him elders of the Jews, asking him that he would come and save his servant.
அத: ஸேநாபதி ர்யீஸோ² ர்வார்த்தாம்’ நிஸ²ம்ய தா³ஸஸ்யாரோக்³யகரணாய தஸ்யாக³மநார்த²ம்’ விநயகரணாய யிஹூதீ³யாந் கியத: ப்ராச: ப்ரேஷயாமாஸ|
4 And they, when they came to Jesus, besought him earnestly, saying, He is worthy that thou shouldest do this for him:
தே யீஸோ²ரந்திகம்’ க³த்வா விநயாதிஸ²யம்’ வக்துமாரேபி⁴ரே, ஸ ஸேநாபதி ர்ப⁴வதோநுக்³ரஹம்’ ப்ராப்தும் அர்ஹதி|
5 for he loveth our nation, and himself built us our synagogue.
யத: ஸோஸ்மஜ்ஜாதீயேஷு லோகேஷு ப்ரீயதே ததா²ஸ்மத்க்ரு’தே ப⁴ஜநகே³ஹம்’ நிர்ம்மிதவாந்|
6 And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof:
தஸ்மாத்³ யீஸு²ஸ்தை: ஸஹ க³த்வா நிவேஸ²நஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’ ப்ராப, ததா³ ஸ ஸ²தஸேநாபதி ர்வக்ஷ்யமாணவாக்யம்’ தம்’ வக்தும்’ ப³ந்தூ⁴ந் ப்ராஹிணோத்| ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ ஸ்வயம்’ ஸ்²ரமோ ந கர்த்தவ்யோ யத்³ ப⁴வதா மத்³கே³ஹமத்⁴யே பாதா³ர்பணம்’ க்ரியேத தத³ப்யஹம்’ நார்ஹாமி,
7 wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say the word, and my servant shall be healed.
கிஞ்சாஹம்’ ப⁴வத்ஸமீபம்’ யாதுமபி நாத்மாநம்’ யோக்³யம்’ பு³த்³த⁴வாந், ததோ ப⁴வாந் வாக்யமாத்ரம்’ வத³து தேநைவ மம தா³ஸ: ஸ்வஸ்தோ² ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under myself soldiers: and I say to this one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
யஸ்மாத்³ அஹம்’ பராதீ⁴நோபி மமாதீ⁴நா யா: ஸேநா: ஸந்தி தாஸாம் ஏகஜநம்’ ப்ரதி யாஹீதி மயா ப்ரோக்தே ஸ யாதி; தத³ந்யம்’ ப்ரதி ஆயாஹீதி ப்ரோக்தே ஸ ஆயாதி; ததா² நிஜதா³ஸம்’ ப்ரதி ஏதத் குர்வ்விதி ப்ரோக்தே ஸ ததே³வ கரோதி|
9 And when Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said unto the multitude that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
யீஸு²ரித³ம்’ வாக்யம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா விஸ்மயம்’ யயௌ, முக²ம்’ பராவர்த்ய பஸ்²சாத்³வர்த்திநோ லோகாந் ப³பா⁴ஷே ச, யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி இஸ்ராயேலோ வம்’ஸ²மத்⁴யேபி விஸ்²வாஸமீத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ந ப்ராப்நவம்’|
10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole.
ததஸ்தே ப்ரேஷிதா க்³ரு’ஹம்’ க³த்வா தம்’ பீடி³தம்’ தா³ஸம்’ ஸ்வஸ்த²ம்’ த³த்³ரு’ஸு²: |
11 And it came to pass soon afterwards, that he went to a city called Nain; and his disciples went with him, and a great multitude.
பரே(அ)ஹநி ஸ நாயீநாக்²யம்’ நக³ரம்’ ஜகா³ம தஸ்யாநேகே ஸி²ஷ்யா அந்யே ச லோகாஸ்தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யயு: |
12 Now when he drew near to the gate of the city, behold, there was carried out one that was dead, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
தேஷு தந்நக³ரஸ்ய த்³வாரஸந்நிதி⁴ம்’ ப்ராப்தேஷு கியந்தோ லோகா ஏகம்’ ம்ரு’தமநுஜம்’ வஹந்தோ நக³ரஸ்ய ப³ஹிர்யாந்தி, ஸ தந்மாதுரேகபுத்ரஸ்தந்மாதா ச வித⁴வா; தயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ தந்நக³ரீயா ப³ஹவோ லோகா ஆஸந்|
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
ப்ரபு⁴ஸ்தாம்’ விலோக்ய ஸாநுகம்ப: கத²யாமாஸ, மா ரோதீ³: | ஸ ஸமீபமித்வா க²ட்வாம்’ பஸ்பர்ஸ² தஸ்மாத்³ வாஹகா: ஸ்த²கி³தாஸ்தம்யு: ;
14 And he came nigh and touched the bier: and the bearers stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
ததா³ ஸ உவாச ஹே யுவமநுஷ்ய த்வமுத்திஷ்ட², த்வாமஹம் ஆஜ்ஞாபயாமி|
15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.
தஸ்மாத் ஸ ம்ரு’தோ ஜநஸ்தத்க்ஷணமுத்தா²ய கதா²ம்’ ப்ரகதி²த: ; ததோ யீஸு²ஸ்தஸ்ய மாதரி தம்’ ஸமர்பயாமாஸ|
16 And fear took hold on all: and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is arisen among us: and, God hath visited his people.
தஸ்மாத் ஸர்வ்வே லோகா: ஸ²ஸ²ங்கிரே; ஏகோ மஹாப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ மத்⁴யே(அ)ஸ்மாகம் ஸமுதை³த், ஈஸ்²வரஸ்²ச ஸ்வலோகாநந்வக்³ரு’ஹ்லாத் கதா²மிமாம்’ கத²யித்வா ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ ஜக³து³: |
17 And this report went forth concerning him in the whole of Judaea, and all the region round about.
தத: பரம்’ ஸமஸ்தம்’ யிஹூதா³தே³ஸ²ம்’ தஸ்ய சதுர்தி³க்ஸ்த²தே³ஸ²ஞ்ச தஸ்யைதத்கீர்த்தி ர்வ்யாநஸே²|
18 And the disciples of John told him of all these things.
தத: பரம்’ யோஹந: ஸி²ஷ்யேஷு தம்’ தத்³வ்ரு’த்தாந்தம்’ ஜ்ஞாபிதவத்ஸு
19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to the Lord, saying, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another?
ஸ ஸ்வஸி²ஷ்யாணாம்’ த்³வௌ ஜநாவாஹூய யீஸு²ம்’ ப்ரதி வக்ஷ்யமாணம்’ வாக்யம்’ வக்தும்’ ப்ரேஷயாமாஸ, யஸ்யாக³மநம் அபேக்ஷ்ய திஷ்டா²மோ வயம்’ கிம்’ ஸ ஏவ ஜநஸ்த்வம்’? கிம்’ வயமந்யமபேக்ஷ்ய ஸ்தா²ஸ்யாம: ?
20 And when the men were come unto him, they said, John the Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another?
பஸ்²சாத்தௌ மாநவௌ க³த்வா கத²யாமாஸது: , யஸ்யாக³மநம் அபேக்ஷ்ய திஷ்டா²மோ வயம்’, கிம்’ ஸஏவ ஜநஸ்த்வம்’? கிம்’ வயமந்யமபேக்ஷ்ய ஸ்தா²ஸ்யாம: ? கதா²மிமாம்’ துப்⁴யம்’ கத²யிதும்’ யோஹந் மஜ்ஜக ஆவாம்’ ப்ரேஷிதவாந்|
21 In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and on many that were blind he bestowed sight.
தஸ்மிந் த³ண்டே³ யீஸூ²ரோகி³ணோ மஹாவ்யாதி⁴மதோ து³ஷ்டபூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தாம்’ஸ்²ச ப³ஹூந் ஸ்வஸ்தா²ந் க்ரு’த்வா, அநேகாந்தே⁴ப்⁴யஸ்²சக்ஷும்’ஷி த³த்த்வா ப்ரத்யுவாச,
22 And he answered and said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good tidings preached to them.
யுவாம்’ வ்ரஜதம் அந்தா⁴ நேத்ராணி க²ஞ்ஜாஸ்²சரணாநி ச ப்ராப்நுவந்தி, குஷ்டி²ந: பரிஷ்க்ரியந்தே, ப³தி⁴ரா: ஸ்²ரவணாநி ம்ரு’தாஸ்²ச ஜீவநாநி ப்ராப்நுவந்தி, த³ரித்³ராணாம்’ ஸமீபேஷு ஸுஸம்’வாத³: ப்ரசார்ய்யதே, யம்’ ப்ரதி விக்⁴நஸ்வரூபோஹம்’ ந ப⁴வாமி ஸ த⁴ந்ய: ,
23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall find none occasion of stumbling in me.
ஏதாநி யாநி பஸ்²யத²: ஸ்²ரு’ணுத²ஸ்²ச தாநி யோஹநம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயதம்|
24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to behold? a reed shaken with the wind?
தயோ ர்தூ³தயோ ர்க³தயோ: ஸதோ ர்யோஹநி ஸ லோகாந் வக்துமுபசக்ரமே, யூயம்’ மத்⁴யேப்ராந்தரம்’ கிம்’ த்³ரஷ்டும்’ நிரக³மத? கிம்’ வாயுநா கம்பிதம்’ நட³ம்’?
25 But what went ye out to see? a man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.
யூயம்’ கிம்’ த்³ரஷ்டும்’ நிரக³மத? கிம்’ ஸூக்ஷ்மவஸ்த்ரபரிதா⁴யிநம்’ கமபி நரம்’? கிந்து யே ஸூக்ஷ்மம்ரு’து³வஸ்த்ராணி பரித³த⁴தி ஸூத்தமாநி த்³ரவ்யாணி பு⁴ஞ்ஜதே ச தே ராஜதா⁴நீஷு திஷ்ட²ந்தி|
26 But what went ye out to see? a prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.
தர்ஹி யூயம்’ கிம்’ த்³ரஷ்டும்’ நிரக³மத? கிமேகம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நம்’? ததே³வ ஸத்யம்’ கிந்து ஸ புமாந் ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோபி ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட² இத்யஹம்’ யுஷ்மாந் வதா³மி;
27 This is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way before thee.
பஸ்²ய ஸ்வகீயதூ³தந்து தவாக்³ர ப்ரேஷயாம்யஹம்’| க³த்வா த்வதீ³யமார்க³ந்து ஸ ஹி பரிஷ்கரிஷ்யதி| யத³ர்தே² லிபிரியம் ஆஸ்தே ஸ ஏவ யோஹந்|
28 I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there is none greater than John: yet he that is but little in the kingdom of God is greater than he.
அதோ யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி ஸ்த்ரியா க³ர்ப்³ப⁴ஜாதாநாம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நாம்’ மத்⁴யே யோஹநோ மஜ்ஜகாத் ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²: கோபி நாஸ்தி, தத்ராபி ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ராஜ்யே ய: ஸர்வ்வஸ்மாத் க்ஷுத்³ர: ஸ யோஹநோபி ஸ்²ரேஷ்ட²: |
29 And all the people when they heard, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
அபரஞ்ச ஸர்வ்வே லோகா: கரமஞ்சாயிநஸ்²ச தஸ்ய வாக்யாநி ஸ்²ருத்வா யோஹநா மஜ்ஜநேந மஜ்ஜிதா: பரமேஸ்²வரம்’ நிர்தோ³ஷம்’ மேநிரே|
30 But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected for themselves the counsel of God, being not baptized of him.
கிந்து பி²ரூஸி²நோ வ்யவஸ்தா²பகாஸ்²ச தேந ந மஜ்ஜிதா: ஸ்வாந் ப்ரதீஸ்²வரஸ்யோபதே³ஸ²ம்’ நிஷ்ப²லம் அகுர்வ்வந்|
31 Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation, and to what are they like?
அத² ப்ரபு⁴: கத²யாமாஸ, இதா³நீந்தநஜநாந் கேநோபமாமி? தே கஸ்ய ஸத்³ரு’ஸா²: ?
32 They are like unto children that sit in the marketplace, and call one to another; which say, We piped unto you, and ye did not dance; we wailed, and ye did not weep.
யே பா³லகா விபண்யாம் உபவிஸ்²ய பரஸ்பரம் ஆஹூய வாக்யமித³ம்’ வத³ந்தி, வயம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ நிகடே வம்’ஸீ²ரவாதி³ஷ்ம, கிந்து யூயம்’ நாநர்த்திஷ்ட, வயம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ நிகட அரோதி³ஷ்ம, கிந்து யுயம்’ ந வ்யலபிஷ்ட, பா³லகைரேதாத்³ரு’ஸை²ஸ்தேஷாம் உபமா ப⁴வதி|
33 For John the Baptist is come eating no bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
யதோ யோஹந் மஜ்ஜக ஆக³த்ய பூபம்’ நாகா²த³த் த்³ராக்ஷாரஸஞ்ச நாபிவத் தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம்’ வத³த², பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தோயம்|
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold, a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
தத: பரம்’ மாநவஸுத ஆக³த்யாகா²த³த³பிவஞ்ச தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம்’ வத³த², கா²த³க: ஸுராபஸ்²சாண்டா³லபாபிநாம்’ ப³ந்து⁴ரேகோ ஜநோ த்³ரு’ஸ்²யதாம்|
35 And wisdom is justified of all her children.
கிந்து ஜ்ஞாநிநோ ஜ்ஞாநம்’ நிர்தோ³ஷம்’ விது³: |
36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he entered into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.
பஸ்²சாதே³க: பி²ரூஸீ² யீஸு²ம்’ போ⁴ஜநாய ந்யமந்த்ரயத் தத: ஸ தஸ்ய க்³ரு’ஹம்’ க³த்வா போ⁴க்துமுபவிஷ்ட: |
37 And behold, a woman which was in the city, a sinner; and when she knew that he was sitting at meat in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster cruse of ointment,
ஏதர்ஹி தத்பி²ரூஸி²நோ க்³ரு’ஹே யீஸு² ர்பே⁴க்தும் உபாவேக்ஷீத் தச்ச்²ருத்வா தந்நக³ரவாஸிநீ காபி து³ஷ்டா நாரீ பாண்ட³ரப்ரஸ்தரஸ்ய ஸம்புடகே ஸுக³ந்தி⁴தைலம் ஆநீய
38 and standing behind at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
தஸ்ய பஸ்²சாத் பாத³யோ: ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ தஸ்யௌ ருத³தீ ச நேத்ராம்பு³பி⁴ஸ்தஸ்ய சரணௌ ப்ரக்ஷால்ய நிஜகசைரமார்க்ஷீத், ததஸ்தஸ்ய சரணௌ சும்பி³த்வா தேந ஸுக³ந்தி⁴தைலேந மமர்த³|
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what manner of woman this is which touched him, that she is a sinner.
தஸ்மாத் ஸ நிமந்த்ரயிதா பி²ரூஸீ² மநஸா சிந்தயாமாஸ, யத்³யயம்’ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ ப⁴வேத் தர்ஹி ஏநம்’ ஸ்ப்ரு’ஸ²தி யா ஸ்த்ரீ ஸா கா கீத்³ரு’ஸீ² சேதி ஜ்ஞாதும்’ ஸ²க்நுயாத் யத: ஸா து³ஷ்டா|
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
ததா³ யாஸு²ஸ்தம்’ ஜகா³த³, ஹே ஸி²மோந் த்வாம்’ ப்ரதி மம கிஞ்சித்³ வக்தவ்யமஸ்தி; தஸ்மாத் ஸ ப³பா⁴ஷே, ஹே கு³ரோ தத்³ வத³து|
41 A certain lender had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
ஏகோத்தமர்ணஸ்ய த்³வாவத⁴மர்ணாவாஸ்தாம்’, தயோரேக: பஞ்சஸ²தாநி முத்³ராபாதா³ந் அபரஸ்²ச பஞ்சாஸ²த் முத்³ராபாதா³ந் தா⁴ரயாமாஸ|
42 When they had not [wherewith] to pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?
தத³நந்தரம்’ தயோ: ஸோ²த்⁴யாபா⁴வாத் ஸ உத்தமர்ணஸ்தயோ ர்ரு’ணே சக்ஷமே; தஸ்மாத் தயோர்த்³வயோ: கஸ்தஸ்மிந் ப்ரேஷ்யதே ப³ஹு? தத்³ ப்³ரூஹி|
43 Simon answered and said, He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
ஸி²மோந் ப்ரத்யுவாச, மயா பு³த்⁴யதே யஸ்யாதி⁴கம் ரு’ணம்’ சக்ஷமே ஸ இதி; ததோ யீஸு²ஸ்தம்’ வ்யாஜஹார, த்வம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ வ்யசாரய: |
44 And turning to the woman, he said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath wetted my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.
அத² தாம்’ நாரீம்’ ப்ரதி வ்யாகு⁴ட்²ய ஸி²மோநமவோசத், ஸ்த்ரீமிமாம்’ பஸ்²யஸி? தவ க்³ரு’ஹே மய்யாக³தே த்வம்’ பாத³ப்ரக்ஷாலநார்த²ம்’ ஜலம்’ நாதா³: கிந்து யோஷிதே³ஷா நயநஜலை ர்மம பாதௌ³ ப்ரக்ஷால்ய கேஸை²ரமார்க்ஷீத்|
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but she, since the time I came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
த்வம்’ மாம்’ நாசும்பீ³: கிந்து யோஷிதே³ஷா ஸ்வீயாக³மநாதா³ரப்⁴ய மதீ³யபாதௌ³ சும்பி³தும்’ ந வ்யரம்’ஸ்த|
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but she hath anointed my feet with ointment.
த்வஞ்ச மதீ³யோத்தமாங்கே³ கிஞ்சித³பி தைலம்’ நாமர்தீ³: கிந்து யோஷிதே³ஷா மம சரணௌ ஸுக³ந்தி⁴தைலேநாமர்த்³தீ³த்|
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, [the same] loveth little.
அதஸ்த்வாம்’ வ்யாஹராமி, ஏதஸ்யா ப³ஹு பாபமக்ஷம்யத ததோ ப³ஹு ப்ரீயதே கிந்து யஸ்யால்பபாபம்’ க்ஷம்யதே ஸோல்பம்’ ப்ரீயதே|
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
தத: பரம்’ ஸ தாம்’ ப³பா⁴ஷே, த்வதீ³யம்’ பாபமக்ஷம்யத|
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that even forgiveth sins?
ததா³ தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ யே போ⁴க்தும் உபவிவிஸு²ஸ்தே பரஸ்பரம்’ வக்துமாரேபி⁴ரே, அயம்’ பாபம்’ க்ஷமதே க ஏஷ: ?
50 And he said unto the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
கிந்து ஸ தாம்’ நாரீம்’ ஜகா³த³, தவ விஸ்²வாஸஸ்த்வாம்’ பர்ய்யத்ராஸ்த த்வம்’ க்ஷேமேண வ்ரஜ|
