Luke 5
1 Now it came to pass, while the multitude pressed upon him and heard the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret;
ஒரு நாள் இயேசு கெனேசரேத் ஏரியருகே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தபோது, இறைவனின் வார்த்தையைக் கேட்பதற்கு மக்கள் அவரைச் சுற்றிலும் கூடிவந்தார்கள்.
2 and he saw two boats standing by the lake: but the fishermen had gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
அவர் கரையோரம் இரண்டு படகுகளைக் கண்டார், மீனவர் அவற்றை அங்கு விட்டுவிட்டுத் தங்களது வலைகளை அலசிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
3 And he entered into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the multitudes out of the boat.
அவர் சீமோனுக்குச் சொந்தமான படகில் ஏறினார். அவர் அந்தப் படகை கரையிலிருந்து கொஞ்சம் தள்ளிவிடும்படி சீமோனிடம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டு, படகில் உட்கார்ந்து மக்களுக்கு போதனை செய்தார்.
4 And when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
அவர் பேசி முடித்தபின்பு, சீமோனை நோக்கி, “படகை ஆழமான தண்ணீர் பகுதிக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், மீன் பிடிக்க உங்கள் வலைகளைப் போடுங்கள்” என்றார்.
5 And Simon answered and said, Master, we toiled all night, and took nothing: but at thy word I will let down the nets.
அதற்குச் சீமோன், “ஐயா, இரவு முழுவதும் நாங்கள் பாடுபட்டு உழைத்தும் ஒன்றுமே கிடைக்கவில்லை. ஆனால் உம்முடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே நான் வலைகளைப் போடுகிறேன்” என்றான்.
6 And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes; and their nets were breaking;
அவர்கள் அப்படிச் செய்தபோது, திரளான மீன்களைப் பிடித்தார்கள். அவர்களுடைய வலைகள் பாரத்தால் கிழியத்தொடங்கின.
7 and they beckoned unto their partners in the other boat, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
அப்பொழுது மற்றப் படகில் இருந்த தங்கள் பங்காளிகள் வந்து தங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்படி, அவர்களுக்குச் சைகை காட்டினார்கள். அவர்கள் வந்து இரண்டு படகுகளையும் மீன்களினால் நிரப்பினார்கள்; அவை மூழ்கத் தொடங்கின.
8 But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
சீமோன் பேதுரு இதைக் கண்டபோது, இயேசுவின் பாதத்தில் விழுந்து, “ஆண்டவரே, என்னைவிட்டுப் போய்விடும்; நான் பாவியான மனிதன்!” என்றான்.
9 For he was amazed, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken;
அவனும் அவனுடன் இருந்தவர்கள் எல்லோரும் தாங்கள் பிடித்த மீன்களைக் கண்டு வியப்படைந்தார்கள்.
10 and so were also James and John, sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
சீமோனின் பங்காளிகளான செபெதேயுவின் மகன்களான யாக்கோபும் யோவானும்கூட வியப்படைந்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது இயேசு சீமோனிடம், “பயப்படாதே; இதுமுதல் நீ இறைவனுக்காக மனிதரைப் பிடிப்பவனாவாய்” என்றார்.
11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left all, and followed him.
எனவே அவர்கள் தங்கள் படகுகளைக் கரையில் சேர்த்தபின், எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டுவிட்டு அவரைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்றார்கள்.
12 And it came to pass, while he was in one of the cities, behold, a man full of leprosy: and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
இயேசு ஒரு பட்டணத்தில் இருக்கையில், ஒரு குஷ்டவியாதி உள்ளவன் வந்தான். அவன் இயேசுவைக் கண்டபோது, தரையில் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து, “ஆண்டவரே, நீர் விரும்பினால், என்னைச் சுத்தமாக்க உம்மால் முடியும்” என்றான்.
13 And he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou made clean. And straightway the leprosy departed from him.
இயேசு தமது கையை நீட்டி அவனைத் தொட்டு, “எனக்கு சித்தமுண்டு, நீ சுத்தமடைவாயாக!” என்றார். உடனே குஷ்டவியாதி அவனைவிட்டு நீங்கிற்று.
14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go thy way, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவனிடம், “இதைக்குறித்து ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லவேண்டாம்; ஆனால், நீ போய் ஆசாரியனுக்கு உன்னைக் காண்பித்து, உன்னுடைய சுத்திகரிப்புக்காக மோசே கட்டளையிட்ட பலிகளைச் செலுத்து; அது அவர்களுக்கு சாட்சியாய் இருக்கும்” என்று கட்டளையிட்டார்.
15 But so much the more went abroad the report concerning him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed of their infirmities.
ஆனால் அவரைப்பற்றிய செய்தி இன்னும் அதிகமாய் பரவிற்று, இதனால் அவர் சொல்வதைக் கேட்பதற்கும் தங்கள் நோய்களிலிருந்து சுகமடைவதற்கும், மக்கள் கூட்டம் கூட்டமாய் அவரிடம் வந்தார்கள்.
16 But he withdrew himself in the deserts, and prayed.
ஆனால் இயேசுவோ அவர்களைவிட்டுத் தனிமையான இடத்திற்கு விலகிப்போய், அங்கே மன்றாடினார்.
17 And it came to pass on one of those days, that he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every village of Galilee and Judaea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was with him to heal.
ஒரு நாள் இயேசு போதித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார், கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள ஒவ்வொரு கிராமங்களிலும் யூதேயாவிலும் எருசலேமிலுமிருந்து வந்த பரிசேயரும் மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களும் அங்கே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள். நோயாளிகளை குணமாக்கும்படியான கர்த்தருடைய வல்லமை இயேசுவோடு இருந்தது.
18 And behold, men bring on a bed a man that was palsied: and they sought to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
அப்பொழுது படுக்கையில் இருந்த முடக்குவாதக்காரன் ஒருவனை சிலர் தூக்கிக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; அவனை வீட்டிற்குள் கொண்டுபோய் இயேசுவுக்கு முன்பாகக் கிடத்துவதற்கு அவர்கள் முயற்சிசெய்தார்கள்.
19 And not finding by what [way] they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
மக்கள் கூட்டம் அதிகமாய் இருந்தபடியால் அப்படிச் செய்வதற்கான வழி அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கவில்லை; எனவே அவர்கள் வீட்டின்மேல் ஏறி கூரையின் ஓடுகளைப் பிரித்து, அதன் வழியாக படுக்கையில் கிடந்த அவனைக் கூடியிருந்த மக்கள் நடுவே இயேசுவுக்குமுன் இறக்கினார்கள்.
20 And seeing their faith, he said, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
இயேசு அவர்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தைக் கண்டு, “மகனே, உன்னுடைய பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டன” என்றார்.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
பரிசேயரும் மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களும், “இறைவனை நிந்தித்துப் பேசுகிற இவன் யார்? இறைவனாலன்றி யாரால் பாவங்களை மன்னிக்க முடியும்?” என்று தங்களுக்குள்ளே சிந்தித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
22 But Jesus perceiving their reasonings, answered and said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
அவர்கள் என்ன சிந்தித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை இயேசு அறிந்து, “உங்கள் மனதில் ஏன் இவ்விதமாகச் சிந்திக்கிறீர்கள்?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise and walk?
‘உன்னுடைய பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டன’ என்று சொல்வதா, அல்லது ‘எழுந்து நட’ என்று சொல்வதா, எது எளிது?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins (he said unto him that was palsied), I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go unto thy house.
ஆனால் பூமியிலே பாவங்களை மன்னிப்பதற்கு மானிடமகனாகிய எனக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு என்பதை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டும்” என்று விரும்புகிறேன். பின்பு இயேசு அந்த முடக்குவாதக்காரனிடம், “எழுந்திரு, உன் படுக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு உன் வீட்டுக்குப்போ” என்றார்.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his house, glorifying God.
உடனே அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக அவன் எழுந்து நின்று, தான் படுத்திருந்த படுக்கையை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு இறைவனைத் துதித்தபடி தன் வீட்டிற்குப் போனான்.
26 And amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God; and they were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.
எல்லோரும் வியப்படைந்து இறைவனைத் துதித்தார்கள். அவர்கள் திகிலடைந்து, “நாங்கள் இன்று ஆச்சரியமானவற்றைக் கண்டோம்” என்றார்கள்.
27 And after these things he went forth, and beheld a publican, named Levi, sitting at the place of toll, and said unto him, Follow me.
இதற்குப் பின்பு, இயேசு வெளியே சென்று வரி வசூலிக்கும் அலுவலகத்தில் வரி வசூலிக்கிறவனான லேவி என்பவன் உட்கார்ந்திருப்பதைக் கண்டார். அவர் அவனிடம், “என்னைப் பின்பற்றி வா” என்றார்.
28 And he forsook all, and rose up and followed him.
லேவி எழுந்து எல்லாவற்றையும் விட்டுவிட்டு, அவரைப் பின்பற்றிச் சென்றான்.
29 And Levi made him a great feast in his house: and there was a great multitude of publicans and of others that were sitting at meat with them.
பின்பு லேவி தன்னுடைய வீட்டிலே இயேசுவுக்கு ஒரு பெரிய விருந்து கொடுத்தான்; வரி வசூலிக்கிறவர்களும் வேறு பலரும் பெருங்கூட்டமாக வந்து, அவர்களுடன் சாப்பிட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
30 And the Pharisees and their scribes murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with the publicans and sinners?
ஆனால் பரிசேயரும் அவர்களுடைய குழுவைச் சேர்ந்த மோசேயின் சட்ட ஆசிரியர்களும் இயேசுவின் சீடர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் வரி வசூலிக்கிறவர்களோடும் பாவிகளோடும் சேர்ந்து சாப்பிடுகிறது ஏன்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole have no need of a physician; but they that are sick.
அதற்கு இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “சுகமாயிருப்பவர்களுக்கு வைத்தியன் தேவையில்லை, வியாதியாய் இருப்பவர்களுக்கே வைத்தியன் தேவை.
32 I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
நான் நீதிமான்களை அழைப்பதற்காக வரவில்லை, பாவிகளையே மனந்திரும்பும்படி அழைக்கவந்தேன்” என்றார்.
33 And they said unto him, The disciples of John fast often, and make supplications; likewise also the [disciples] of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink.
சிலர் இயேசுவிடம், “யோவானின் சீடர்கள் அடிக்கடி உபவாசித்து மன்றாடுகிறார்கள், பரிசேயருடைய சீடர்களும் அப்படியே செய்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் உம்முடைய சீடரோ சாப்பிடுவதும் குடிப்பதுமாக இருக்கிறார்களே” என்றார்கள்.
34 And Jesus said unto them, Can ye make the sons of the bride-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
அதற்கு இயேசு, “மணமகன் தங்களுடன் இருக்கும்போது அவனுடைய நண்பர்கள் உபவாசிக்கச் செய்யக்கூடுமா?
35 But the days will come; and when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, then will they fast in those days.
ஆனால் மணமகன் அவர்களைவிட்டு எடுக்கப்படும் காலம் வரும்; அந்நாட்களில் அவர்கள் உபவாசிப்பார்கள்” என்றார்.
36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man rendeth a piece from a new garment and putteth it upon an old garment; else he will rend the new, and also the piece from the new will not agree with the old.
பின்பு இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு உதாரணத்தைக் கூறினார்: “ஒருவனும் புதிய ஆடையிலிருந்து ஒரு துண்டைக் கிழித்து அதைப் பழைய ஆடையோடு ஒட்டுப் போடுவதில்லை. அப்படி ஒட்டுப் போட்டால் புதிய ஆடையும் கிழியும். புதிய துண்டும் பழைய ஆடைக்குப் பொருந்தாது.
37 And no man putteth new wine into old wineskins; else the new wine will burst the skins, and itself will be spilled, and the skins will perish.
யாரும் புதிய திராட்சை இரசத்தைப் பழைய தோல் பைகளில் ஊற்றி வைப்பதில்லை. அப்படிச் செய்தால், புதிய திராட்சை இரசம் அந்த தோல் பைகளை வெடிக்கச்செய்யும்; திராட்சை இரசமும் சிந்திப்போகும், தோல் பைகளும் பாழாய்ப்போகும்.
38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.
புதிய திராட்சை இரசத்தைப் புதிய தோல் பைகளில்தான் ஊற்றி வைக்கவேண்டும்.
39 And no man having drunk old [wine] desireth new: for he saith, The old is good.
யாரும் பழைய திராட்சை இரசத்தைக் குடித்த பின்பு புதியதை விரும்பமாட்டார்கள். ஏனெனில், ‘பழையதே நல்லது’ என்பார்கள்.”
