Leviticus 11
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
E falou o SENHOR a Moisés e a Arão, dizendo-lhes:
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the living things which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
Falai aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Estes são os animais que comereis de todos os animais que estão sobre a terra.
3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, [and] cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
De entre os animais, todo o de casco, e que tem as unhas fendidas, e que rumina, este comereis.
4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that part the hoof: the camel, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you.
Estes, porém, não comereis dos que ruminam e dos que têm casco: o camelo, porque rumina mas não tem casco fendido, haveis de tê-lo por impuro;
5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you.
Também o coelho, porque rumina, mas não tem unha fendida, o tereis por impuro;
6 And the hare, because she cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, she is unclean unto you.
Assim a lebre, porque rumina, mas não tem unha fendida, a tereis por impura;
7 And the swine, because he parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you.
Também o porco, porque tem unhas, e é de unhas fendidas, mas não rumina, o tereis por impuro.
8 Of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcases ye shall not touch; they are unclean unto you.
Da carne deles não comereis, nem tocareis seu corpo morto: os tereis por impuros.
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
Isto comereis de todas as coisas que estão nas águas: todas as coisas que têm barbatanas e escamas nas águas do mar, e nos rios, aquelas comereis;
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination unto you,
Mas todas as coisas que não têm barbatanas nem escamas no mar e nos rios, tanto de todo réptil de água como de toda coisa vivente que está nas águas, as tereis em abominação.
11 and they shall be an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, and their carcases ye shall have in abomination.
Vos serão, pois, em abominação: de sua carne não comereis, e abominareis seus corpos mortos.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that is an abomination unto you.
Tudo o que não tiver barbatanas e escamas nas águas, o tereis em abominação.
13 And these ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the gier eagle, and the ospray;
E das aves, estas tereis em abominação; não se comerão, serão abominação: a água, o quebra-ossos, o esmerilhão,
14 and the kite, and the falcon after its kind;
O milhafre, e o falcão a segundo sua espécie;
15 every raven after its kind;
Todo corvo segundo sua espécie;
16 and the ostrich, and the night hawk, and the seamew, and the hawk after its kind;
O avestruz, e a coruja, e a gaivota, e o gavião segundo sua espécie;
17 and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl;
E o mocho, e o corvo-marinho, e o íbis,
18 and the horned owl, and the pelican, and the vulture;
E a galinha-d'água, e o cisne, e o pelicano,
19 and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
E a cegonha, e a garça, segundo sua espécie, e a poupa, e o morcego.
20 All winged creeping things that go upon all four are an abomination unto you.
Todo inseto de asas que andar sobre quatro pés, tereis em abominação.
21 Yet these may ye eat of all winged creeping things that go upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
Porém isto comereis de todo inseto de asas que anda sobre quatro patas, que tiver pernas além de suas patas para saltar com elas sobre a terra;
22 even these of them ye may eat; the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the cricket after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind.
Estes comereis deles: o gafanhoto migrador segundo sua espécie, e a esperança segundo sua espécie, e o grilo segundo sua espécie, e o gafanhoto comum segundo sua espécie.
23 But all winged creeping things, which have four feet, are an abomination unto you.
Todo réptil de asas que tenha quatro pés, tereis em abominação.
24 And by these ye shall become unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even:
E por estas coisas sereis impuros: qualquer um que tocar a seus corpos mortos, será impuro até à tarde:
25 And whosoever beareth [aught] of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
E qualquer um que levar de seus corpos mortos, lavará suas roupas, e será impuro até à tarde.
26 Every beast which parteth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, is unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
Todo animal de casco, mas que não tem unha fendida, nem rumina, tereis por impuro: qualquer um que os tocar será impuro.
27 And whatsoever goeth upon its paws, among all beasts that go on all four, they are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.
E de todos os animais que andam a quatro patas, tereis por impuro qualquer um que ande sobre suas garras: qualquer um que tocar seus corpos mortos, será impuro até à tarde.
28 And he that beareth the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.
E o que levar seus corpos mortos, lavará suas roupas, e será impuro até à tarde: haveis de tê-los por impuros.
29 And these are they which are unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the great lizard after its kind,
E estes tereis por impuros dos répteis que vão arrastando sobre a terra: a doninha, e o rato, e o lagarto segundo sua espécie,
30 and the gecko, and the land-crocodile, and the lizard, and the sand-lizard, and the chameleon.
E a lagartixa, e o lagarto pintado, e a lagartixa de parede, e a salamandra, e o camaleão.
31 These are they which are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they are dead, shall be unclean until the even.
Estes tereis por impuros de todos os répteis: qualquer um que os tocar, quando estiverem mortos, será impuro até à tarde.
32 And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherewith any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; then shall it be clean.
E tudo aquilo sobre que cair algum deles depois de mortos, será impuro; tanto vaso de madeira, como roupa, ou pele, ou saco, qualquer instrumento com que se faz obra, será posto em água, e será impuro até à tarde, e assim será limpo.
33 And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean, and it ye shall break.
E toda vasilha de barro dentro da qual cair algum deles, tudo o que estiver nela será impuro, e quebrareis a vasilha:
34 All food [therein] which may be eaten, that on which water cometh, shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every [such] vessel shall be unclean.
Toda comida que se come, sobre a qual vier a água de tais vasilhas, será imunda: e toda bebida que se beber, será em todas essas vasilhas impura:
35 And every thing whereupon [any part] of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces: they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
E tudo aquilo sobre que cair algo do corpo morto deles, será impuro: o forno ou aquecedores se derrubarão; são impuros, e por impuros os tereis.
36 Nevertheless a fountain or a pit wherein is a gathering of water shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.
Contudo, a fonte e a cisterna onde se recolhem águas, serão limpas: mas o que houver tocado em seus corpos mortos será impuro.
37 And if [aught] of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.
E se cair de seus corpos mortos sobre alguma semente que se haja de semear, será limpa.
38 But if water be put upon the seed, and [aught] of their carcase fall thereon, it is unclean unto you.
Mas se se houver posto água na semente, e cair de seus corpos mortos sobre ela, a tereis por impura.
39 And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.
E se algum animal que tiverdes para comer se morrer, o que tocar seu corpo morto será impuro até à tarde:
40 And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
E o que comer de seu corpo morto, lavará suas roupas, e será impuro até à tarde: também o que tirar seu corpo morto, lavará suas roupas, e será impuro até à tarde.
41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth is an abomination; it shall not be eaten.
E todo réptil que vai arrastando sobre a terra, é abominação; não se comerá.
42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath many feet, even all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
Tudo o que anda sobre o peito, e tudo o que anda sobre quatro ou mais patas, de todo réptil que anda arrastando sobre a terra, não o comereis, porque é abominação.
43 Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.
Não torneis abomináveis vossas pessoas com nenhum réptil que anda arrastando, nem vos contamineis com eles, nem sejais impuros por eles.
44 For I am the LORD your God: sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that moveth upon the earth.
Pois que eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus, vós portanto vos santificareis, e sereis santos, porque eu sou santo: assim que não torneis abomináveis vossas pessoas com nenhum réptil que andar arrastando sobre a terra.
45 For I am the LORD that brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
Porque eu sou o SENHOR, que vos faço subir da terra do Egito para vos ser por Deus: sereis pois santos, porque eu sou santo.
46 This is the law of the beast, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:
Esta é a lei dos animais e das aves, e de todo ser vivente que se move nas águas, e de todo animal que anda arrastando sobre a terra;
47 to make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.
Para fazer diferença entre impuro e limpo, e entre os animais que se podem comer e os animais que não se podem comer.
