< John 17 >
1 These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee:
Nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni Jesu sọ, ó sì gbé ojú rẹ̀ sókè ọ̀run, ó sì wí pé, “Baba, wákàtí náà dé, yin ọmọ rẹ lógo, kí ọmọ rẹ kí ó lè yìn ọ́ lógo pẹ̀lú.
2 even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that whatsoever thou hast given him, to them he should give eternal life. (aiōnios )
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwọ ti fún un ní àṣẹ lórí ènìyàn gbogbo, kí ó lè fi ìyè àìnípẹ̀kun fún gbogbo àwọn tí ó fi fún un. (aiōnios )
3 And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, [even] Jesus Christ. (aiōnios )
Ìyè àìnípẹ̀kun náà sì ni èyí, kí wọn kí ó lè mọ ìwọ nìkan Ọlọ́run òtítọ́, àti Jesu Kristi, ẹni tí ìwọ rán. (aiōnios )
4 I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.
Èmi ti yìn ọ́ lógo ní ayé: èmi ti parí iṣẹ́ tí ìwọ fi fún mi láti ṣe.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, Baba, ṣe mí lógo pẹ̀lú ara rẹ, ògo tí mo ti ní pẹ̀lú rẹ kí ayé kí ó tó wà.
6 I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
“Èmi ti fi orúkọ rẹ hàn fún àwọn ènìyàn tí ìwọ ti fún mi láti inú ayé wá, tìrẹ ni wọ́n ti jẹ́, ìwọ sì ti fi wọ́n fún mi; wọ́n sì ti pa ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ mọ́.
7 Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:
Nísinsin yìí, wọ́n mọ̀ pé ohunkóhun gbogbo tí ìwọ ti fi fún mi, láti ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ wá ni.
8 for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received [them], and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.
Nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ tí ìwọ fi fún mi, èmi ti fi fún wọn, wọ́n sì ti gbà á, wọ́n sì ti mọ̀ nítòótọ́ pé, lọ́dọ̀ rẹ ni mo ti jáde wá, wọ́n sì gbàgbọ́ pé ìwọ ni ó rán mi.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:
Èmi ń gbàdúrà fún wọn, èmi kò gbàdúrà fún aráyé, ṣùgbọ́n fún àwọn tí ìwọ ti fi fún mi; nítorí pé tìrẹ ni wọ́n í ṣe.
10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.
Tìrẹ sá à ni gbogbo ohun tí í ṣe tèmi, àti tèmi sì ni gbogbo ohun tí í ṣe tìrẹ, a sì ti ṣe mí lógo nínú wọn.
11 And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we [are].
Èmi kò sí ní ayé mọ́, àwọn wọ̀nyí sì ń bẹ ní ayé, èmi sì ń bọ̀ wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ. Baba mímọ́, pa àwọn tí o ti fi fún mi mọ́, ní orúkọ rẹ, kí wọn kí ó lè jẹ́ ọ̀kan, àní gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwa.
12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
Nígbà tí mo wà pẹ̀lú wọn ní ayé, mo pa wọ́n mọ́ ní orúkọ rẹ; àwọn tí ìwọ fi fún mi, ni mo ti pamọ́, ẹnìkan nínú wọn kò sọnù bí kò ṣe ọmọ ègbé; kí ìwé mímọ́ kí ó le ṣẹ.
13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
“Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí èmi sì ń bọ̀ wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ, nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni mo sì ń sọ ní ayé, kí wọn kí ó lè ní ayọ̀ mi ní kíkún nínú àwọn tìkára wọn.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Èmi ti fi ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ fún wọn; ayé sì ti kórìíra wọn, nítorí tí wọn kì í ṣe ti ayé, gẹ́gẹ́ bí èmi kì í ti í ṣe ti ayé.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil [one].
Èmi kò gbàdúrà pé, kí ìwọ kí ó mú wọn kúrò ní ayé, ṣùgbọ́n kí ìwọ kí ó pa wọ́n mọ́ kúrò nínú ibi.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Wọn kì í ṣe ti ayé, gẹ́gẹ́ bí èmi kì í ti í ṣe ti ayé.
17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.
Sọ wọ́n di mímọ́ nínú òtítọ́, òtítọ́ ni ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ.
18 As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.
Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwọ ti rán mi wá sí ayé, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi sì rán wọn sí ayé pẹ̀lú.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
Èmi sì ya ara mi sí mímọ́ nítorí wọn, kí a lè sọ àwọn tìkára wọn pẹ̀lú di mímọ́ nínú òtítọ́.
20 Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;
“Kì sì í ṣe kìkì àwọn wọ̀nyí ni mo ń gbàdúrà fún, ṣùgbọ́n fún àwọn pẹ̀lú tí yóò gbà mí gbọ́ nípa ọ̀rọ̀ wọn.
21 that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
Kí gbogbo wọn kí ó lè jẹ́ ọ̀kan; gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwọ, Baba, ti jẹ́ nínú mi, àti èmi nínú rẹ, kí àwọn pẹ̀lú kí ó lè jẹ́ ọ̀kan nínú wa, kí ayé kí ó lè gbàgbọ́ pé, ìwọ ni ó rán mi.
22 And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;
Ògo tí ìwọ ti fi fún mi ni èmi sì ti fi fún wọn; kí wọn kí ó lè jẹ́ ọ̀kan, gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwa ti jẹ́ ọ̀kan.
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.
Èmi nínú wọn, àti ìwọ nínú mi, kí a lè ṣe wọ́n pé ní ọ̀kan; kí ayé kí ó lè mọ̀ pé, ìwọ ni ó rán mi, àti pé ìwọ sì fẹ́ràn wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìwọ ti fẹ́ràn mi.
24 Father, that which thou hast given me, I will that, where I am, they also may be with me; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
“Baba, èmi fẹ́ kí àwọn tí ìwọ fi fún mi, kí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ mi, níbi tí èmi gbé wà; kí wọn lè máa wo ògo mi, tí ìwọ ti fi fún mi, nítorí ìwọ sá à fẹ́ràn mi síwájú ìpilẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ayé.
25 O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;
“Baba olódodo, ayé kò mọ̀ ọ́n; ṣùgbọ́n èmi mọ̀ ọ́n, àwọn wọ̀nyí sì mọ̀ pé ìwọ ni ó rán mi.
26 and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.
Mo ti sọ orúkọ rẹ di mí mọ̀ fún wọn, èmi ó sì sọ ọ́ di mí mọ̀: kí ìfẹ́ tí ìwọ fẹ́ràn mi, lè máa wà nínú wọn, àti èmi nínú wọn.”
