John 15

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

௧நான் உண்மையான திராட்சைச்செடி, என் பிதா திராட்சைத்தோட்டக்காரர்.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit.

௨என்னில் கனிகொடுக்காதிருக்கிற கொடி எதுவோ அதை அவர் அறுத்துப்போடுகிறார்; கனிகொடுக்கிற கொடி எதுவோ, அது அதிக கனிகளைக் கொடுக்கும்படி, அதைச் சுத்தம்செய்கிறார்.

3 Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you.

௩நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன உபதேசத்தினாலே நீங்கள் இப்பொழுதே சுத்தமாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.

௪என்னில் நிலைத்திருங்கள், நானும் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருப்பேன்; கொடியானது திராட்சைச்செடியில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால் அது தானாக கனிகொடுக்காததுபோல, நீங்களும் என்னில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால், கனிகொடுக்கமாட்டீர்கள்.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.

௫நானே திராட்சைச்செடி, நீங்கள் கொடிகள். ஒருவன் என்னிலும் நான் அவனிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால், அவன் மிகுந்த கனிகளைக் கொடுப்பான்; என்னை அல்லாமல் உங்களால் ஒன்றும் செய்யமுடியாது.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

௬ஒருவன் என்னில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால், வெளியே எரியப்பட்ட கொடியைப்போல அவன் எரியப்பட்டு உலர்ந்துபோவான்; அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் சேர்த்து, அக்கினியிலே போடுகிறார்கள்; அவைகள் எரிந்துபோகும்.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

௭நீங்கள் என்னிலும், என் வார்த்தைகள் உங்களிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால், நீங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவது எதுவோ அது உங்களுக்குச் செய்யப்படும்.

8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and [so] shall ye be my disciples.

௮நீங்கள் மிகுந்த கனிகளைக் கொடுப்பதினால் என் பிதா மகிமைப்படுவார், எனக்கும் சீடராக இருப்பீர்கள்.

9 Even as the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you: abide ye in my love.

௯பிதா என்னில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறதுபோல நானும் உங்களில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறேன்; என்னுடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருங்கள்.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

௧0நான் என் பிதாவின் கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடித்து அவருடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருக்கிறதுபோல, நீங்களும் என் கட்டளைகளைக் கடைபிடித்தால், என்னுடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருப்பீர்கள்.

11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may be in you, and [that] your joy may be fulfilled.

௧௧என்னுடைய சந்தோஷம் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்களுடைய சந்தோஷம் நிறைவாக இருக்கும்படிக்கும், இவைகளை உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன்.

12 This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you.

௧௨நான் உங்களில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறதுபோல நீங்களும் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டும் என்பதே என்னுடைய கட்டளையாக இருக்கிறது.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

௧௩ஒருவன் தன் நண்பனுக்காகத் தன் ஜீவனைக் கொடுக்கிற அன்பிலும் அதிகமான அன்பு ஒருவரிடத்திலும் இல்லை.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.

௧௪நான் உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற யாவையும் நீங்கள் செய்வீர்களானால், என் நண்பர்களாக இருப்பீர்கள்.

15 No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known unto you.

௧௫இனி நான் உங்களை வேலைக்காரர்கள் என்று சொல்லுகிறதில்லை, வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமான் செய்கிறதை அறியமாட்டான். நான் உங்களை நண்பர்கள் என்றேன், ஏனென்றால், என் பிதாவினிடத்தில் நான் கேள்விப்பட்ட எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தேன்.

16 Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and [that] your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

௧௬நீங்கள் என்னைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை, நான் உங்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்; நீங்கள் என் நாமத்தினாலே பிதாவைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவது எதுவோ, அதை அவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி நீங்கள் போய்க் கனி கொடுக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்களுடைய கனி நிலைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கும், நான் உங்களை ஏற்படுத்தினேன்.

17 These things I command you, that ye may love one another.

௧௭நீங்கள் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டுமென்றே இவைகளை உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.

18 If the world hateth you, ye know that it hath hated me before [it hated] you.

௧௮உலகம் உங்களைப் பகைத்தால், அது உங்களைப் பகைக்கிறதற்குமுன்னே என்னைப் பகைத்ததென்று அறியுங்கள்.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

௧௯நீங்கள் உலகத்தாராக இருந்தால், உலகம் தன்னுடையதை நேசித்திருக்கும்; நீங்கள் உலகத்தாராக இல்லாதபடியினாலும், நான் உங்களை உலகத்திலிருந்து தெரிந்துகொண்டபடியினாலும், உலகம் உங்களைப் பகைக்கிறது.

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.

௨0வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமானைவிட பெரியவன் இல்லை என்று நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன வார்த்தையை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர்கள் என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினது உண்டானால், உங்களையும், துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்; அவர்கள் என் வார்த்தையை கடைபிடித்தது உண்டானால், உங்களுடைய வார்த்தையையும் கடைப்பிடிப்பார்கள்.

21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

௨௧அவர்கள் என்னை அனுப்பினவரை அறியாதபடியினால் என் நாமத்தினிமித்தமே இவைகளையெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குச் செய்வார்கள்.

22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.

௨௨நான் வந்து அவர்களோடு பேசாதிருந்தால் அவர்களுக்குப் பாவம் இருக்காது; இப்பொழுதோ தங்களுடைய பாவத்தைக்குறித்து சாக்குச்சொல்ல அவர்களுக்கு இடமில்லை.

23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

௨௩என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவன் என் பிதாவையும் பகைக்கிறான்.

24 If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

௨௪வேறொருவரும் செய்யாத செயல்களை நான் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே செய்யாதிருந்தால், அவர்களுக்குப் பாவம் இருக்காது; இப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என்னையும் என் பிதாவையும் பார்த்தும், பகைத்தும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

25 But [this cometh to pass], that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

௨௫காரணம் இல்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைத்தார்கள் என்று அவர்களுடைய வேதத்தில் எழுதி இருக்கிற வாக்கியம் நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படியானது.

26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:

௨௬பிதாவினிடத்திலிருந்து நான் உங்களுக்கு அனுப்பப்போகிறவரும், பிதாவினிடத்திலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறவருமாகிய சத்திய ஆவியான தேற்றரவாளன் வரும்போது, அவர் என்னைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சி கொடுப்பார்.

27 and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

௨௭நீங்களும் ஆரம்பமுதல் என்னுடனே இருந்தபடியால் எனக்குச் சாட்சிகளாக இருப்பீர்கள்.
