Job 9
1 Then Job answered and said,
Отвещав же Иов, рече:
2 Of a truth I know that it is so: but how can man be just with God?
воистинну вем, яко тако есть: како бо будет праведен человек у Господа?
3 If he be pleased to contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
Аще бо восхощет судитися с Ним, не послушает Его, да не преречет ко единому словеси Его от тысящи.
4 [He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?
Премудр бо есть мыслию, крепок же и велик: кто жесток быв противу Его, пребысть?
5 Which removeth the mountains, and they know it not, when he overturneth them in his anger.
Обетшаяй горы, и не ведят, превращаяй я гневом:
6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
трясый поднебесную из оснований, столпи же ея колеблются:
7 Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
глаголяй солнцу, и не восходит, звезды же печатствует:
8 Which alone stretcheth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
прострый един небо и ходяй но морю, яко по земли:
9 Which maketh the Bear, Orion, and the Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
творяй Плиады и Еспера, и Арктура и сокровища южная:
10 Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, marvelous things without number.
творяй велия и неизследованная, славная же и изрядная, имже несть числа.
11 Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
Аще приидет ко мне, не имам видети: и аще мимоидет мене, никако уразумех.
12 Behold, he seizeth [the prey], who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
Аще возмет, кто возвратит? Или кто речет Ему: что сотворил еси?
13 God will not withdraw his anger; the helpers of Rahab do stoop under him.
Сам бо отвращает гнев, слякошася под Ним кити поднебеснии.
14 How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words [to reason] with him?
Аще же мя услышит, или разсудит глаголы моя?
15 Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer; I would make supplication to mine adversary.
Аще бо и праведен буду, не услышит мене, суду Его помолюся:
16 If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he hearkened unto my voice.
аще же воззову, и услышит мя, не иму веры, яко услыша глас мой.
17 For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
Да не мглою мя потребит, многа же ми сотрения сотвори всуе,
18 He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.
не оставляет бо мя отдохнути, исполни же мя горести.
19 If [we speak] of the strength of the mighty, lo, [he is there]! and if of judgment, who will appoint me a time?
Понеже силен есть крепостию: кто убо суду Его воспротивится?
20 Though I be righteous, mine own mouth shall condemn me: though I be perfect, it shall prove me perverse.
Аще бо буду праведен, уста моя нечестия сотворят: аще же буду непорочен, стропотен буду.
21 I am perfect; I regard not myself; I despise my life.
Аще бо нечестие сотворих, не вем душею моею: обаче отемлется ми живот.
22 It is all one; therefore I say, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.
Темже рех: велика и сильна губит гнев.
23 If the scourge slay suddenly, he will mock at the trial of the innocent.
Яко лукавии смертию лютою погибнут, обаче праведным посмеваются.
24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if [it be] not [he], who then is it?
Предана есть земля в руце нечестиваго, лица судий ея покрывает: аще же не Сам есть, кто есть?
25 Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
Житие же мое есть легчае скоротечца: отбегоша и не видеша.
26 They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that swoopeth on the prey.
Или есть кораблем след пути, или орла летяща, ищуща яди?
27 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will put off my [sad] countenance, and be of good cheer:
Аще бо реку: забуду глаголя, приникнув лицем воздохну,
28 I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.
трясуся всеми удесы: вем бо, яко не безвинна мя оставиши.
29 I shall be condemned; why then do I labour in vain?
Аще же нечестив есмь, почто не умрох?
30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
Аще бо измыюся снегом и очищуся руками чистыми,
31 Yet wilt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.
доволно во скверне омочил мя еси, возгнушася же мною одежда моя.
32 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, that we should come together in judgment.
Неси бо человек, якоже аз, Емуже противопрюся, да приидем вкупе на суд.
33 There is no daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.
О, дабы ходатай нам был, и обличаяй и разслушаяй между обема.
34 Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his terror make me afraid:
Да отимет от мене жезл, страх же Его да не смущает мене:
35 Then would I speak, and not fear him; for I am not so in myself.
и не убоюся, но возглаголю, ибо тако не вем сам себе.
