Job 8
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Unya mitubag si Bildad ang Suhitanhon, ug miingon:
2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and [how long] shall the words of thy mouth be [like] a mighty wind?
Hangtud anus-a ba mosulti ikaw niining mga butanga? Ug hangtud anus-a ang mga pulong sa imong baba mahisama sa usa ka hangin nga makusog?
3 Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
Balit-aron ba sa Dios ang justicia? Kun balit-aron ba sa Makagagahum ang pagkamatarung?
4 If thy children have sinned against him, and he have delivered them into the hand of their transgression:
Kong ang imong mga anak nakasala batok kaniya, Ug siya mitugyan kanila ngadto sa kamot sa ilang paglapas;
5 If thou wouldest seek diligently unto God, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
Kong ikaw sa Dios mosingkamot sa pagpangita, Ug maghimo ka sa imong pangamuyo sa Makagagahum;
6 If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
Kong ikaw maputli ug matul-id pa unta, Sa pagkamatuod nahigmata unta siya tungod kanimo, Ug magahimong mauswagon sa puloy-anan sa imong pagkamatarung.
7 And though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
Ug bisan diyutay ra ang imong sinugdan, Apan magauswag kaayo ang imong kaulahian.
8 For inquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and apply thyself to that which their fathers have searched out:
Kay susiha, ipangamuyo ko kanimo, ang panahon nga ming-agi, Ug magpahimulos ka sa imong kaugalingon niadtong ginapangita sa ilang mga amahan.
9 (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow: )
(Kay kita ingon lamang sa kagahapon, ug walay hibangkaagan, Kay anino lamang ang atong mga adlaw sa ibabaw sa yuta):
10 Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
Dili ba sila motudlo kanimo, ug kanimo mosugilon, Ug magasulti sa mga pulong nga gikan sa ilang kasingkasing?
11 Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
Makatubo ba ang nipa kong walay lapok? Makatubo ba ang tangbo kong walay tubig?
12 Whilst it is yet in its greenness, [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] herb.
Sa diha nga lunhaw pa kini ug dili pinutol, Kini malaya una sa ubang kabunglayonan.
13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hope of the godless man shall perish:
Mao man ang kadalanan sa tanan nga mahikalimot sa Dios; Ug ang paglaum sa tawo nga walay Dios mawagtang:
14 Whose confidence shall break in sunder, and whose trust is a spider’s web.
Ang iyang pagsalig pagaputlon, Ug ang iyang kalig-onan maoy usa ka balay sa lawa-lawa.
15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold fast thereby, but it shall not endure.
Siya mosandig sa iyang balay, apan kana mahuyang; Mopuyo siya dinha, apan kana dili molungtad.
16 He is green before the sun, and his shoots go forth over his garden.
Siya malunhaw sa atubangan sa adlaw, Ug ang iyang mga salingsing molabaw sa iyang tanaman.
17 His roots are wrapped about the heap, he beholdeth the place of stones.
Ang iyang mga gamut mangapot duol sa tapok nga bato, Iyang makita ang dapit sa mga kabatoan.
18 If he be destroyed from his place, then it shall deny him, [saying], I have not seen thee.
Kong siya pagapukanon gikan sa iyang dapit, Nan kini molimod kaniya, nga magaingon: Wala ako makakita kanimo.
19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others spring.
Ania karon, kini mao ang kalipay sa iyang dalan; Ug gikan sa yuta ang uban manggula.
20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he uphold the evil-doers.
Ania karon, ang Dios dili mosalikway sa usa ka tawong hingpit. Ni motabang siya sa mga mamumuhat sa dautan.
21 He will yet fill thy mouth with laughter, and thy lips with shouting.
Ang imong baba pagapun-on niya sa katawa, Ug kasadya sa imong mga ngabil.
22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the tent of the wicked shall be no more.
Kadtong managdumot kanimo pagasul-oban sa kaulaw; Ug ang balong-balong niadtong mga dautan mangawagtang.
